    Very busy place but everyone is respectful and nice. Most Planet Fitnesses have rowing machines. Unfortunate that this one doesn’t. Otherwise a solid location.

    I decided on the Black Card Membership in anticipation of the Rowlett store opening near my home. I decided to go to the Garland store to take advantage of the "work out at any of the 2300 locations" option. Naturally i checked on the app to be sure they are open on Black Friday, it clearly show open and staffed 24/7 so i drive over only to find THEY ARE NOT OPEN. I looked for a corporate number to call and indeed asked ONCE I GOT TO THE PLANO LOCATION!! There's not a number to call. That my fellow fitness members and potential members is a clear, designed alienation of the customer and corporate customer service. You can get mad all you want and there's no one to make it right because there's no one to do it. The staff at the next gym are just sorry that you've wasted time and resources to go to a closed club and that it happens all the time. This is amazing for a fitness company that has sooo many people that they can't manage their app to LET PEOPLE KNOW the club they may be going to is closed. This is not professional nor is it respectful of people's time. Shame on you Planet Fitness. I expect more from you, i do not want this to happen any more. ***please note there is no response to this review***

    I left a review on the planet fitness email link. And the owner came back to me saying I gave incorrect information. Let me tell you what I experienced. I came to workout at this gym. It had great hours which is the two stars. The gym insit had all the equipments I needed. When I went to go Stretching and sat on the mats in the abdomen section, there were bed bugs crawling on the ground. I got freaked out and left. Called in and told the front staff and they said okay. Came in again. Same thing in the same area happen. So I left a review stating maybe the staff and owner does not care about sanitation. The gym itself is dirty. Very dirty for my liking. The owner emailed me saying she has a schedule where her staff goes around and clean every 30 min. That is a lie. For the couple times that I came before the bed bug incident, the staff have not moved out of the reception area in the front at all the whole time I am there. I am there for at least 2 hours. For her to say her staff cleans and wipe down the place is a lie. The equipments does not seem to have been wiped down at all. It just shows another business owner who is so quick to defend herself and call out the reviews when she herself cannot go to the franchise and see for herself what the customers are saying. Some people I met there have said the same thing regarding the place being dirty. This owner needs to get up and take a walk around this place. See for herself. Instead sitting on her computer and writing reviews when she is not understanding the concept. I'm also not the only one that have said this place is dirty. Check the other reviews posted.

    Absolutely love the staff! Ashley and Abby are the most helpful and friendliest staff members hands down. The Walnut location is a great, clean environment to do my work outs.

    Compared to other locations, this one is always dirty which is super disappointing. Yes I clean my machines before and after but it still feels and looks dirty, I've never seen the staff actually cleaning or wiping/dusting anything compared to locations I now prefer. I love the hours, but feel that I would rather enjoy my workout in a clean facility. Hoping they implement a couple positive changes when it comes to cleanliness.

    Manager with black beard makes false accusations about not wiping down machines after a workout even though I did. Don’t follow someone and stop them if you don’t know what you’re talking about

    Customer service at this branch is terrible. The staff are unprofessional. Answering the phone rude. Also they cannot help you cancel your account, neither can the third party company they set up to take payments from your account. They are crooks. Do not pay with auto draft. Do not give this company access to your money.

    Abousalutly love this place. I love Ashley she's always helpful as is everyone else there. Very polite they treat me as if I where family. They do an awesome job a keeping the place clean and sanitized. I recommend this planet fitness to having a wonderful experience!! Thank you so much. Debbie

    Manger was very disrespectful, didn't call anybody out by us as soon as we walked in. I've gone there multiple times no problem, it didn't feel good being targeted like that. Using words like, "y'all, you people".

    Don't take your kids here! They play a lot of very inappropriate rap music, loudly. Recent renovation and decent equipment. No paper towels in the bathroom, despite having them all over the gym for wiping equipment. No free weight bench press, not a "bro" gym sadly, but the price and the hours are right. They need to clean up the dirty mucic though, I'd be willing to find a more expensive nicer gym over that.

    This gym is under construction right now, however, the staff is still as dedicated as ever! ASHLEY is the most professional ever! Give her a promotion, a raise, and a vacation! I always have a great time here. Just one thing, please get hot water in your showers! ❤️

    zero management. You go after 4pm and every squat rack is occupied. People leaving machines for 10 minutes and putting towels and water bottles on them. Dumbbells go to 65 or 75 lbs. The lunk alarm should be pushed all the time. Guys posing in the mirrors, blocking the lane for the dumbbells, leaving weights laying around. Just lazy people standing around the counter but don't really do anything to manage the club - not their fault - just zero management from this organization. If you need many gyms around town, Planet Fitness will get you by. The other gym brands ar better. Some planet fitness are about average or above. This one is unfortunately not.

    The people on the register are very helpful and friendly. But, its heavily crowded during the evening. There aren’t enough equipments and spaces for people to work out. This is the smallest planet fitness franchise I have ever been to. If you have a option to choose this and another. Go for the other one. There are couple of other things that are missing.

    Signed up a few months ago to try it out. When I heard they were closing down for a few months to remodel I told them I wanted to cancel my membership. I cancelled last week and asked the girl who cancelled for me if I would get charged the $40 annual fee and she clearly said "no", because I was cancelling a week early. I checked today and I got charged the $40. When I called up there they told me they wouldn't refund because it was a FULL week (I cancelled on a Saturday). Except on my cancellation paperwork it says I owe ZERO dollars. Shady billing, like most gyms. Don't trust what they say. It's disappointing too because I would have came back after the remodel, but not now. They get my $40, but they lose years of my membership. Short-sighted company.

    This is a great little gym that covers all the bases. Very affordable and the staff is super friendly. It's not a posh gym with Pelatons but they have tanning beds, a water massage beds all included and 24/hr access.

    Not overcrowded in the least. And perfect if your just starting to work like everyone is out of shape. Do you and enjoy. Very clean and easy equipment to use also decent space between machines.

    I would highly recommend NOT using Planet Fitness, especially the Garland location at Belt Line and Duck Creek. As gyms go, they're OK. But as a corporation, they are rude and totally unaccomodating. I canceled my account 3 months ago in Dallas, or thought I had. I gave written notice that I wanted to cancel my membership. No one at the Skillman location bothered to tell me that I had to go to my "home gym" in Garland and cancel there. My membership was on auto pay and I just didn't pay attention to the fact that they were still charging me monthly. When my debit card was compromised last month it was canceled and I was issued a new one. I didn't think I needed to update PF since I had believed my account to be canceled. This morning, though, I got a notice that the monthly due was unpaid, so I called to find out why I was still being charged and how to cancel. I was told that I had to go into my home gym in person to cancel my membership, but that I had to pay the $42.00 annual maintenance fee before I could cancel. Nevermind that I haven't even used their gyms in 3 months since I bought a total home gym. I wasn't asking for my past 3 months dues refunded (although they should be since I provided written notice of cancelation back in July). I wasn't even making a fuss about having to go in person to cancel (thankfully I haven't moved out of the area or this could be a major inconvenience). I simply asked that the $42 maintenance fee for the upcoming year (that I won't be using) be voided. But no, they wouldn't even consider it. And the lady I talked to was incredibly rude and dismissive. Nevermind that I've been a loyal member for 5 years. If a company can't be a little more accommodating, they won't be getting any more of my business, or my referrals

    Clean but definitely needs more space. Not enough dumbbell benches, dumbbells, or smith machines and the weight doesn't get very heavy (dbs only go up to 75 lbs). However, the staff is great and I feel like this a great place to train overall.

    Great gym and the staff are helpful. And for my protein smoothies I always stop by I Love Juice Bar Garland to get refueled. Check them out, they are 5 mins away.

    Cons: 1. If your water fountain is broken, you should not charge people for water bottles IMO. 2. With construction going on, the right thing would be to give members a reduced rate during construction, especially to Black Card Members. Black Card Spa is not usable and some of the other work-out areas are not usable as well. Everyone is more crammed and less equipment available. They will say "Go to another location" We don't live near that location or else we would have already been going there. 3. IT IS UNCOMFORABLE HOT. I could not even work out for an hour yesterday because it was just too hot. I don't think it's right for you employees to be in that heat all day either. 4. Please know that, even if you sign up during a 0$ enrollment fee, there is still an annual fee that soon follows. Pros: 1. Staff is very friendly 2. Clean, well the constuction makes it a little more dirty but usually it is pretty clean. Members are pretty good about sanitizing after themselves. 3. I actually did hear the alarm go off there once on someone that was being obnoxious..that was pretty funny.

    If you never been hoodwinked, be prepared! ——— So, I started going to the gym recently with some friends recommendations. An old friend of me warned me about planet fitness strange policies and even contracts. Something you should know is that they are franchised. The only way you have any concerns or issues is to speak to a manager at the gym (if they are there). I had some issues and had came to the gym 3 times at this location and 2 times at another location to get my transfer done, but I was told incorrect informations. I ended up canceling my membership after I wasn’t able to resolve my issue by the General Manager. Then I was surprise with a large bill at the end for their hidden fees. ____ Pro tip!_____ • bring along a large magnifying glass 🔎 to read the contract when signing up. • take a Intro to Contracts Law Class to actually understand their contract. • record all conversations with management or staff so they can’t go back on their words. It’s a one-way consent state, so you don’t have ask for their permission. ___ recommendations ___ •just find a friend and workout out in your garage (or parks) to YouTube videos. • find other local gyms in the area, there are plenty of better ones. (I have done that and been much happier.) Good luck on your workout 🏋️‍♂️ journey and contract studies👨‍⚖️!

    The price is different from their website and on the ground when you come, and they should clarify more. I prefer a subscription that only allows you to visit the different branches for 10 visits only. In my view, they need clarity on the issue of price and offers

    I am an early bird and prefer to check into this location between the hours of 5-6 am. The bathroom is always clean and I rarely have to wait to get to the equipment.
