A friend introduced me to the Hin Bus Depot. We went on a Sunday, and it was comfortably crowded. A surprising and welcoming escape from the capitalistic air of Georgetown. Anyway its free to enter, and their was performances and a small flea market. Several vendors sold food and beverages. The Hin Bus Depot is a good place to socialise and unwind of a weekend.

Absolutely loved it! A wonderful space to chill and spend the weekends with food, crafts, and coffee. Walk around, mingle with the hip, buy some crafts, books, cakes, relax and watch the clouds roll by, listen to live music and basically have a great sunday.

Event space in an old bus terminal that is been renovated. Lots of good restaurants and coffee shops. The day we visited it was very hot so water guns were given to guests to slash each other and cool down. A Thai bazaar was also organized where good food and local Thai handicrafts were being sold. We visited one of the wine bars at the venue which was serving craft beer. Overall a good venue to visit if you are in Georgetown

Went on a Sunday when there were the most vendors open. Cool (new) place with a lot of hand-crafted products and cool stuff like having a tattoo placed or having a drawing made from yourself. Nice variety and plenty of food and drinks too. The live music and seating is cool too. Well-worth the time

The famous of the place is because it special with the pop-up event, Sunday market and night time event. The atmosphere, vibes, mood is suitable for all group of teen. If you like arts, this is the place to be. There are many artisan cafe and arts displayed around here. It is nice to know that they preserved the old bus depot and converted it into a centre to showcase arts

It's a highly recommended place to visit over the weekend especially when you travel in Penang. High quality and artisans products with various types of homemade products with reasonable price. You can spend morning to afternoon time by enjoying some foods, drinks and live music there with friends and family. The vendors are very friendly. We reached this place by grab, so I don't really check how convenient the parking space is.

I was told that the weekend market is worth checking out. Indeed and glad I came and check it out. Lots of local crafts as well as delicious pastries, cakes and drinks. A great place to spend the weekend here listening to music and browsing the local arts. Highly recommended. They should get license to serve alcohol, that will definitely attract more people.

This place is one of my favourite places to visit every time I’m back in Penang. It is a retired bus terminal given a new lease of life as an art gallery, community space and flea market. There are numerous cool coffee shops and cafes insides (with Halal options, no less) and it would be oh so perfect catching up with an old friend with a good cuppa inside. They host art from local artists- and a lot of the times, there are a ton of different events and things happening. I went on a Saturday not expecting much activity, but to my surprise, boy was it bustling. Sunday is the best time to visit as the flea market and vendors are out in full swing. Some stalls sell wine, vintage trinkets, plants, books, stationary, clothes, art, and a lot of collectibles. Parking around the area is a bit iffy, but I recommend you park opposite at the Neo+ hotel’s parking spot. It costs a cool RM4 but it’s a life saver in penang’s traffic.

Had an enjoyable time at the Hin Bus Depot Artwork Popup Sunday Market. Great to see there's a lot of hype, lively atmosphere, music gigs and a wide selection of food and drinks. Many stores displaying artwork by local artists, entrepreneurs/small business selling craft works that are proudly made in Malaysia. Kudos to the Organizers for supporting and featuring our local artists under one roof!

Weekend pop up market in town. Lots of handcrafts and foods from various cultures. Also a perfect spot for art and music lovers as there are art exhibition, murals, and live band from time to time. Have to cope with the heat though.

Lovely place for live bands, stalls selling handmade crafts, a local art exhibition and small cute shops. Only downside is that the outdoors area is too hot in the scorching afternoon heat.

This market is not only a great spot to shop for unique items and taste delicious food, but it's also a cool place to hang out and relax. If you have some free time, watching the various activities happening around can be entertaining. In addition to the craft and food stalls, there's a great cafe and an outdoor coffee truck where you can grab a drink and recharge. And if you're in the mood for something fancier, there's even a wine bar that serves oysters!

We came here kinda late around 9pm. Most of the vendor are already close. Still got cafes and one group of aunties doing zumba at night. This place is very interesting + unique and I would like to come again in the morning! Highly recommended if you’re art lover and if you want to chill with your friends while support local vendors! #sapotlokal

It’s like a flea market selling handmade goods, plant, and food. Quite a small nice place to walk around, only took us 10-15 mins to go around

Very chilling place, went here on a Sunday. It was bustling with people, small stalls and live music. I'm surprised there is so much to offer here, as it doesn't look like much from the outside. Lots of independent business offering free food and drink samples, not pushy either. Couple of cafes inside, and sit down food. A few alcoholic drink stalls also, quite pricy though. Highly recommended to kill a hour or two.

Very amusing place to chill and enjoy the time. Cosy, simple, full of art work. Sellers and even visitors are friendly and all are smiling. So good for positive energy. Food and beverages rates are convenient and affordable by all. Live music performance and many craftsmanship is to be shown. Very good for family and friends gatherings.

    - Cool art space with small niche stores around it. - Entrance is free when there is no events. But, there is not much to do. - Go during saturdays and sundays. I want to come back on those days

Came on a weekday afternoon and it was very quiet. A pity we missed it during the weekends where there are flea markets and music performances. There are cafes and small shops selling knick knack items which are great for souvenirs. There is also a resident cat near the cafe who is super affectionate and greedy for food!

The one and only spot in Georgetown where you would enjoy a sunny Sunday with open seating and live music from local band. Lots of variations in foods and drinks and handcrafted items to shop.

Lots of things here to see. Food stalls less than arts and craft pop up stalls. If you are looking for some handmade stuff and such, definitely a good place to visit. We didn't buy anything as nothing cause our fancy. However it is really a nice place to visit. On a cooling day I think it'll be even better. It was so hot on that day. Hahaha. And the Ice cream was so tempting too.

Been here many years ago. Concept is good with hangout, art and craft market and open air sitting area with singer. But getting a parking and chilling under the hot weather is always a challenge (weekend or holiday period)

Hin Bus Depot has recently become a popular place to visit for locals and tourists alike, rightfully so. A few things you can do while you are there: check out the gallery (each time I go there's a different gallery), stroll around the little shops selling artsy stuff, cakes, juices etc. Last weekend there was the Coach on the Move event. There's also Coffee Rescue (coffee truck), a cute stationery shop, and a few restaurants around the area. Good to visit at least once to take some instagrammable photos!

Not fully open yet when visited but already love this place. Artistically make-over while keeping the original bus depot infrastructure, with interesting programming such as pottery workshop, wood workshop, garden, cafe, skate park, event hall, outdoor dining and many art installations by local artists at various corners. Great adaptive reuse project that is infused with local flavour.

This place has evolved since opening a number of years ago. It has attracted more artsy people over the years. Good selection of food and shops. Every Sunday there is a market. When I visited there were a number of foreigners selling handmade items likely to finance their travels.

Finally an effort that brings out the soul of arts, crafts and culture of Penangites. Gone are the days of cheap t-shirts, low quality souvenirs and shameless copies. Good food and drinks offerings too.

Amazing place to chill on the weekends with a good selection of drinks. Many arts and crafts stores to check out. Usually have live bands too. Check out their social media for events.

A must-visit when in Penang. Pretty fun to explore. They seem to have something new every few months. Hin Bus Depot refreshes their exhibitions pretty often. Come on Sunday for the market to support small local businesses and have laksa for lunch.

😠 I reached at around 2:30pm and still need to queue till 3:00 pm. Disappointed with the food because the deep fried fish roe and fish are hard rather than crispy. The gravy is also so so only.

👍 Queue seemed quite long when we arrived around 2.30 pm but we only waited about 20 minutes. I think they should have more signage to tell customers what to do so the process can be easier. There was only one waiter upstairs in the seating area so it was quite difficult to get his attention. Food is...
