Had delicious food here. Prices are ok compared to back home. Service is good and your order is served fast. Only downside are the sashimi counter staff talking loudly and patrons with kids screaming the place down.

Have to queue for 10minutes when i went around 7pm but that was worth it. Greeted with smile🙂🙂, and was led to my seat. Orders will be made thru 🌐QR code, had the Salmon Ikura Don, so delicious. Gunkan sushi quality is great and the ingredient were so fresh. Yummm❤️❤️, and for kids het then the tantandon. Yumm.. i myself having Tantandon a few times. Sometimes i feel like a kiddo🧒

Nothing spectacular. Regular pseudo Japanese food. This branch is a bit dated. The ceiling wallpaper is ripping. The foreign workers are not optimal. Service is slow. Even the branch manager is like a tub of lard.

Very nice environment with seaview for some seats. Staff are friendly. The portion of seafood don is surprisingly small and the overall taste is only average (but the seafood is fresh). Disappointed ! Owner should seriously think how to improve the food quality.

Food was ok, service was average. Ordered 2 Udon with Tempura & asked for the tempura dipping sauce. They couldn’t really be bothered bringing it our & when we got it they only gave one dipping sauce. Portion was quite tiny for what you pay for. Sushi & chicken karage was so..so

I have ordered 2 Renton Chahan Set where both sets does not come with Salmon Sashimi, I called the restaurant and they say this is a miss. This is the 2nd incident for me, as the first time my 2 Chawamushi is missing from my take away pack. I called up Sushi Tei Gurney and they agree to replace for me on my next take away or dine in meal. Invoice number is 63518.

Hands down the best sushi in penang. 🍣 very exquisite and authentic flavors. Please with their food. For example, the edamame served here comes with its stalks and taste really fresh. Almost everything tastw great here. They also serve warm/cold sake here. The green tea taste good and is authentic. Price is on the high end but comparable to service

Taste is nice and price is decent, but my experience here was not very pleasant. This was quite some time ago. I ordered a Cheese Baked rice, only to almost swallow a rusty screw down my throat. The personnel proceeded to give me a new rice set, and gave me a 20% discount on the final bill. I was confused initially, as I was definitely at least expecting an apology. But no, there was absolutely no interaction or verbal communication regarding their mishap. Manager, waiter, anyone could have just apologized. I hope their customer services (or kitchen cleanliness/food safety, at least for my matter) has improved drastically. Not hate towards Sushi Tei, but I usually avoid visiting this franchise in particular.

Miso soup with vege was delicious. Vege enhance the taste and feel the freshness. 4 stars Seafood Don was delicious. Fresh sashimi with generous ingredients and below RM20 was value for money. 5 stars Chawanmushi with fish egg was delicious as well. A new twist. 4 stars Shishamo was well done. Just nice. Taste was very good. 5 stars Poke bowl was perfect fir my wife. Balance of vege and meat and portion just nice. 4 stars Fresh bean was great compliment. 3 stars

Generally a very good experience with their vegetarian menu featuring various options - rice, noodles, sushi (Avocado sushi is the best) and appetizers.

Ordered their salmon nabemono, seafood ramen, spicy unagi sushi. The taste is okay but the portion of the ramen and sushi (4 pieces only) is kinda small.
