Small mall but five floors. Lots of western brand like forever 21, H&M, Polo club, Starbucky. Easy to walk everywhere in Georgetown.
Very fresh grocery shop at G floor . Floor 1-3 food Sports outfits bags luggages shops else . Weekend events too .
Small Mall next to the The Top.. the food court has 1 of the best Asam Laska n Rojak... Recommend to try ... Shopping experience wise not fantastic but they do have few cafes thou...
The mall is old, but the parking lot 🅿️ is quite convenient!
Modern mall but with limited options and some of the branded shops seem to have very poor choice of clothes. Has great potential to be something much better and far outweighs the mall next door which appears or feels like it’s on its last legs but still a little disappointing.
First Avenue Mall is conveniently linked to Prangin Mall. Shoppers get to experience two-in-one malls here. Just like most malls, there are numerous shops and outlets here. Fast food chains have their representatives here, too. For example, they have Starbucks and also A & W. Shopping here is enjoyable.
The mall itself is sort of boring but outside. There is a very vibrant Ramadan Bazaar that I really enjoyed.
This is one of the three malls located in the center of George Town and arguably the nicest of the three. There are more international and Asian brands here than the other malls and I would consider the retailer mix to be more mid-priced. The mall notably has a grocery store on its lower level and a cinema on top. Given its location, it is easily accessible via public transportation. While the mall itself did not really wow me, I do think this makes for a good location to walk around in George Town when the weather is very hot and you are looking for a place to cool down for a couple of hours.
Convenient mall at a great location . Well organised .
1st Avenue Mall in Penang is a fantastic shopping destination, especially if you enjoy a variety of brands like H&M, Forever 21, Original Classic, Seoul Garden, and Texas Chicken. One of the highlights is the Village Grocer supermarket on the lower ground floor, which makes it incredibly convenient to pick up groceries during a shopping trip. Living just 1.1 kilometers away, I find it easy to shop for everything I need without any hassle. The mall is usually quiet during weekdays, which is perfect for a peaceful shopping experience, but it transforms into a bustling hub during holidays, adding to its vibrant atmosphere. Overall, 1st Avenue Mall is a great place for shopping, dining, and convenience.
Shops are good. Have a good shopping at here. But the Malay girl in-charge of the information counter on 26/6/2025 was very rude and cannot talk politely. Please bear in mind not all the people come for shopping are local, some are foreigner. How you estimate all the people know your app? Oh please provide customer service for your staff.
Great place to hangout with the fam, with lots of clothing shops available in the mall
Like the place. Lively and have lots of shops and eating places. Best place to watch movies at the cinema here.
Slightly more upscale mall compared with Prangin and Komtar. Sunday crowd is average.
The chicken rice shop in First avenue. I ordered hainanese chicken rice on Grab. And in the review remark, I specifically stated to please give me the ginger. Because in the menu, the steam chicken will automatically come with ginger. However this particular branch has a way to bully the Grab order customers. Instead of my hainanese chicken, they send me roasted chicken. Then refuse to give me my ginger. This is not the first time I encountered this issue. It is only this particular branch. They rather switch up the order and op out the ginger than giving you the ginger.
This shopping mall really good in my opinion, definitely a top 5 in Penang, After queensbay Gurney Sunway carnival This mall has good Aircond, good toilet, good accessibility and also it's nice overall. The mall doesnt seem old, it's well maintained but just less people compared to queensbay/gurney. I'm glad that it's not abandoned like prangin mall and komtar tho, thats really good. Sharing my experience about one of the food in the food court .I ordered kuay teow basah, end up the dish is so smelly ,I’m not sure whether they use the expired noodles or the gravy.Pls ask your staff to check on the food properly before they serve ,if not is gonna lead to a health issues for the shoppers .Thank you
