While the resort is family friendly and the pool is perfect for kids, the resort fell short of our expectations. It does not have the same luxury feel as other Hard Rock properties we've been to. The hotel felt dated with small rooms and older bathrooms with small tubs. The service was great all around! The front desk staff, the bar tenders, and waiters were all magnificent. They were always smiling, polite, and able to answer our questions. The beds were very comfortable and they had a nice bed for our toddler. The buffet breakfast had a nice selection and changed everyday, but once again the set-up felt dated and not a 5 star buffet set up. Also, they didn't have bananas... However, for the price we would not go back given the better hotel selection nearby.

Great place if you come as a family with kids. The pool is extensive with many elements to keep kids entertained. However, not an ideal place for couples. The pool is swamped with kids from morning to sunset. Great staff though, friendly and helpful. The rock band in the evening is also not bad. 👍🏻

To be honest, I had high expectations before I checked in and honestly, the check in process itself was very smooth. The management did a good job by promoting good hygiene habits by distributing face masks & sanitisers to hotel guests and ensuring daily temperature screening. But once I got into the room, the interior feels dated & gloomy (don’t the hotel management know that purple is not the best colour for a bedroom?) - the drawer of the bedside table couldn’t be closed properly (not a big issue but you’d expect better of a 5 star hotel), the bed was made but there is a bum-print on the quilt as if someone had sat on it before I got in the room and on the last day before I checked out, I realised that the staff hadn’t cleaned the room properly before I checked in as there is a used cotton bud lying on the floor in the corner beneath the writing desk (I hadn’t used one and hadn’t ask for room cleaning either during my stay). Very disappointing! It also does seem that the hotel is operating at full occupancy as it seems to be fully booked when I was here. No issues as long as the hotel adheres to the right SOPs. However, it does affect the quality of stay as the pool was packed and there is no way to relax during my stay as it seems as if I’m in a marketplace with all the noise around me. Worst still, after being out and about on the beach I came back to the room and could hear renovation sounds and drilling, come on, Hard Rock! Charging 5 star rate inclusive of surcharge during the holidays but yet compromising on guests’ comfort? Couldn’t the renovation be done at times when there are less occupancy in the hotel? Other than that, food and drinks is great at the Cafe with friendly service by both the hotel staff and Cafe staff, thumbs up for that. Great in-room entertainment too.

Its quite a great place to go with a bunch of friends or families. Too bad their slides is under renovation for better improvement. Other than that, the morning breakfast i hope that they would improve more to international breakfast. The bathroom of the rooms is actually quite small. The cleanliness is great.

It was a great experience at the hard rock in the 2015. Fun activities with every move especially that from my room i could go directly into the swimming pool. Fun activities on the beach. Nice and friendly staff. Nice spa. The environment is cozy . Also the singer at the pub was so good bit i cant recall his name. This year i only went there to visit a friend and i still felt the same warmth and the accomodating and welcoming environment.

We had a fantastic stay and the staff were so friendly. Rooms were clean and had everything we needed. We loved the free in room movies as a perfect way to unwind after a day in the pool. The pool area is amazing, great for families and the spa was great as well. We had a bad experience at a nearby hotel and the hard rock team were so friendly and accommodating, thank you!

Very pleasant stay. The staff was very helpful. I arrived around 12.15pm and allowed to check in around 1pm. Great ! The pool was a killer and my kids love it. The breakfast not as many variety but was really tasteful and delicious. Great night show as well. Tq.

Hospitality to its best ! Very neat and clean. Food Vegetarians and Vegans are offered to select food of their choice for breakfast. However, the breakfast is a feast which is very good. Loads of Options Room Very neat and clean. In room entertainment is excellent. Movies, Channels, Bose speakers are also provided to connect over Bluetooth. Kids Kids would love the huge swimming pool and water slides and many more. Beach is very easily accessible from the hotel. I would recommend this hotel for a wonderful and comfortable stay.

During the period of June 05 to 06, I had the pleasure of staying at the Hard Rock Hotel. I must emphasize that their service, starting from the moment we arrived at the front door and extending to our room, was truly outstanding. One individual, in particular, stood out—the porter—who provided exceptional assistance throughout our entire stay, from check-in to check-out. Notably, he took the initiative to provide us with a wheelchair, enabling my grandmother to move comfortably from the lobby to our rooms. In an unforeseen circumstance, at 5 am, my grandmother experienced wheezing, necessitating an urgent trip to the hospital in Georgetown. The staff working the night shift proved to be incredibly helpful during this challenging time. She went above and beyond by accommodating my request for a late check-out, demonstrating her commitment to fulfilling our needs to the best of her abilities. The level of service provided by the night shift staff was truly remarkable. Furthermore, I found the check-out process to be effortless and hassle-free, further enhancing the overall experience. It is my sincere hope that the Hard Rock Hotel will continue to maintain their exceptional service standards and achieve even greater success in the future.

The pool was superb with all the children friendly pool and slides. Beside, there is Kid Club where u can drop ur 4 to 12 yrs old children while u go enjoy ur own time. Superb

Overall clean and nice location to stay. Do NOT take breakfast buffet package. Its so bad. Everything is cold and low quality. Cocktails by the pool are a watered down, sugary mess. This is at best a 2 star hotel riding on the Hard Rock brand name. The Hard Rock cafe on the other hand is good. Nice food and ambience. Only redeeming grace for this hotel.

Definitely deserve 5 star rating. Hotel was awesome. Staff are amazing. Once my niece lost her longchamp bag with a phone inside. We thought it was gone for good. We try our luck and ask the front desk, lo and behold, we get back her bag and phone! Thank you very much for the wonderful experience. Faith in humanity restored!

Hotel was immaculate, the service provided was top notch. The swimming pool cleanliness is 5 star. My kid love the swimming pool. Rooms were clean and the bed is awesome. Slept like a baby. This is one of my favorite stays of any hotel in Malaysia. The room was artistic and clean. Staff were responsive and professional. Breakfast buffet was plentiful and delicious. There’s a quiet pool for those wanting more privacy and a water slide for the family. I loved all the special touches including checking out a guitar to rock out in your room or enjoying a new playlist in your room so you could sing in the shower.

had a great stay at this hotel. Our first time staying at a Hard Rock hotel and i must say, it was something. Loved the attention to detail with their music theme and of course, the music itself. This hotel is really great for families. As parents of small children who sometimes behave like animals let out of the zoo, it was wonderful to see so many children running around having fun, especially at the pool, which is the best for kids we have experienced so far. Yes it may be a bit noisy during the day with the kids and the music, but at night it is relatively peaceful and quiet. Due to the crowd, there may be a queue for the breakfast buffet, but the staff really were trying their best and the wait wasn't terribly long. will be back for sure.

The hotel was extremely clean, and smelled very pleasant. The pool and amenities was amazing as well, pool was very big and fun for children and adults alike to play there, there is also a wide variety of other amenities such as gyms, bars, and restaurants on site, which was very convenient and fun for everyone. Alongside that, the staff at the hotel was very friendly, the room keeping staff constantly greeted us as we walked pass which I find very nice. Adding on to all my statements, the hotel was very well maintained, I highly recommend this hotel for families, couples, or friends to chill and have a nice and fun holiday in Penang.

Beautiful place with attentive staff. The pool are connected with the beach so very easy. Can just walk. Ample parking space. Good food by the restaurant. Good drinks by the bar. Everything are perfect here. Definitely will visit again!

The lagoon room was fully booked online. Managed to change to get it at the reception. Kudos to Andy who had helped with the arrangement. Room was clean, good breakfast spread and facilities were in great condition.

Check in last weekend with 3 kids into the Roxity Kids Courtyard room. Nice and clean. Motivated and friendly staff all along. Breakfast spreads were good. Hardworking staff will collect your plates after you finish your meal to make sure your table is clear. Children enjoyed the swimming pool. Overall - awesome management. Highly recommended.

A first visit to this hotel but not a stranger for Hard Rock Hotel Group as a traveller. I would say no matter which region, Hard Rock Hotel offers both excellent experiences regardless if you are visiting for business or leisure purpose. Suitable for family trips as well since they have kids friendly facilities such as swimming pool, Sony Playstation 4 and many more. Did not fail to impress me. Well done!

Family oriented hotel - pool is an exciting place for the kids. They can spend pretty much all day here, we even dined at Pizzeria(newly reopen) and had our dinner from In-room Menu. Food was good and was served considerably fast. The breakfast hall however was crowded daily even though we came on a weekday. Choices were decent, just that the service might be a little slow when it comes to clearing off your table.

Nice hotel located on the beach. More family resort like, a lot of kids and music during the day with a crowded pool but peaceful at night. Rooms are nice, comfortable and clean. Gym is great. Selection of food is normal

Check in was smooth. Room purple vibe is astonishing cool. Water Park is extremely fun for children. Double float looks cool but a bit tight to use. Sunset view is awesome, try get lagoon deluxe that swim to the pool directly. Food price is acceptable. Pizzeria has really good spaghetti

We had a great time at Hard Rock Cafe in Penang! The breakfast was very good and they had a great espresso machine!! We loved the pool and the fact that was right by the beach!! The restaurants have good quality food (we ate at Lena Pizzeria and Stars Cafe)

I LOVE IT HERE! The room was great, mine was on the second floor facing the pool so it was abit noisy but it was still great! The location is awesome you can walk out of the hotel and there's tons of stuff to do. The pool is also amazing there's slides and floats and not only that, the bottom of the pool has sand!! Also you can literally walk out from the pool area and there's the beach! So you basically have beach access from the hotel. The service was great too!!

Previous stay was in 2019 and returned last week. This time to stay 4 nights in the suite. Service was excellent from check-in to the service in the Rock Royalty Lounge and the poolside bar. Indeed, hotel wide, service staff were great. Special mention to Serena and the staff at check-in on 6th Floor and the Rock Royalty Lounge. The tea time and cocktails in the lounge were nice too. Rooms were very comfortable and TV Movie entertainment was good with their various selection of movies available 24/7. The Live band in the Lobby Lounge on 17th June was great. Thoroughly entertained. Last but not least, the reservations team, with whom I communicated via email, were great. Very responsive to all my enquirers and requests when I was in the process of making reservations for several rooms for me and my extended family.

First time to a hard rock hotel, but definitely won’t be the last. Loved the whole package - from the check in reception to the food and to the awesome pool. 4.5 stars. 0.5 stars deduction for the too many kids, where I was hoping for a more private experience. But still an overall awesome stay.

Got free upgrade to beach view unit. Good hospitality, warm welcome and nice ambient. Good for short getaway or long vacation. Highly recommended.

Had a pleasant 4 days stay at this hotel. The kids enjoyed the swimming pool that was directly outside the room, the breakfast buffet had a change of menus everyday, and the staffs are generally very accomodating. Big shoutout to Staff Mr Fadzil for helping my family and going extra miles! Would definitely recommend this hotel to other friends and families.

Hard to fault this hotel. In what is a quite run down Batu Ferringhi, this is a shining light in the area. Hotel is clean, with great staff (always saying hi!) and clearly good management. Room was perfect with nice Hard Rock detail. Pool area is just fantastic and even though I didn't use it, it was very tempting! Breakfast was well managed and had a varied selection. When I return to the area, this is the only hotel I will consider. Keep up the good work.

All the staff were well trained and knew how to ensure you enjoyed your staff. Great place for families and especially for kids who love water play. Good that covid safety measure were observed throughout the hotel and lifeguards ensuring water safety was observed. Bonus were the excellent staff at the kids club, live music, great alcoholic drinks and the direct beach access to jet skiing, para sailing, horse riding and boat rides.

Had the chance to stay here during a week long training. Good experience and really comfy bed, spacious room. Although the beach is not ideal for swimming, the pool is a great replacement if you want to go for a dip.

Hard Rock Cafe, one of the famous hotel located at Batu Ferringhi. Dinner serve is big portions. We enjoy the dinner, but after meal feel salty in tongues and thirst. Now dinner have serve value Ramadhan set serve for 2-4person.

Awesome room, awesome holiday and great burgers! This was obviously our first holiday, (read: staycation), in over 1 and a half years... and boy was it worth the wait! Kids loved their 'own room' which was awesome, had their own TV with a PS4 and two beds for them to sleep in. We're definitely going back as soon as we can.

A funky and we'll designed thematic hotel. Given the post pandemic SOP , the service STDs, cheerfulness of staff are pretty good.Prices are not cheap but realistically set , given the demand surge.Hotel upkeep in maintenance is very good and looking fresh, inviting & functioning.Of course the music, and intricacies of the details in making it a unique experience is welcomed.A Great pool ,decent gym with a 180 view of pool & the HR cafe , Rock Shop completes its offering..

Food at Starz Diner very delicious, everyone love it especially my father who like local food (Char kuey tiew, Satay). I love environment when lunch in Hard Rock Cafe,my sister love Hard Rock Signature Beef Burger. They also have pool with 3 slides and in front beach. Will going there again.And value for money.

We visited Hardrock cafe and to our shock were surrounded by smokers where its clearly mentioned non smoking while waiting for the queue. The management should take immediate action as there were babies queuing with parents fir almost an hour. No one bothered to say anything including the guards.

Poor! 1) Yes, the protocol for guess to checking in is very strict but I still wondering why there is no security to guard in front of the hotel? Literally no one especially during night time. Hotel full by non-guess taking picture at hotel front door. 2) My bad luck during my stay at HRH, I went to a toilet in front of the swimming pool. It was so dirty and i asked the staff what’s going on and told them to get someone to clean up the toilet. The answer from one of the staffs was, oh! some guest accidentally “throwing their wastes” in a toilet (if you know what i mean) and they had informed the guest to clean the things by himself. Oh, some guests were not civilised at all and the staffs should to ensure the toilet is clean all the time! We are talking about 5 starts hotel here, so cleanliness is compulsary! 3) Too crowded! Front door full of strangers, I don’t see they wearing HR wrist sticker. No privacy and feels like 1 start hotel instead of 5.

Very good stay. We enjoyed our stay. Their breakfast was the best, a lot of choices. Room was clean and got nice interior. All of their facilities were in good condition inc gym, pool, kids club, teenage club. Staffs were friendly. We enjoyed our night life at hard rock cafe and enjoy the concert.

Brought my family with the kids to Hard Rock for the first time and as usual post MCO the supposed check-in time from 3pm became 4.30pm. Super crowded and hardly any SOP at the common pool area and breakfast with super long queue. I suppose it was the peak hour at 8.30am. Overall the kids did enjoy the beach and the room was clean only comment was the room and bathroom was too small for our family, should have taken a bigger suite. However, it didn't live up to the hype as what I imagined considering the amount we paid for the quality in return. As comparing to similar rate hotels, they do much better.

Fantastic place to stay a week or two, you won’t get bore ! The soap pool is amazing! And the live band, the 4-5 pools is just crazily fun ! We had a great family bonding time there ! Did I mentioned each floor with unique display of guitars and the celebrities performance outfit ! Fascinating to the max ! Must go must stay must dine in and grab your souvenir back !

I found the place to be OK for kids and families to rest, relax, play and bond. The mini water park was alright, nothing great to shout about, but not bad either. There's just very limited options when it comes to family hotels. I wished that there were larger play rooms with more consoles (PlayStation, X Box) and more titles availablemade available. The buffet spread was acceptable and tasteful.

So far so good. Swimming pool area crowded as expected. We are lucky to stay on weekdays to avoid crowded of people and easy to find parking. Nearby beach clean and please do not remove your hand tag for easy access to facilities and others area. You need give a try to eat at Hard Rock Cafe because the ambience so nice and food delicious.

Amazing Facilities - I would go again and again You go to Penang for food, relaxation, enjoyment and a bit of roaming around. Food in the hotel is great - including the buffet breakfast, and lunch, dinner at the two in-house restaurants is also very tasty and lots of variety including some western, Malay, Indian food. But you can go out and eat as well. We really likes Lebonan which is walking distance. Beach is right next to the hotel - it’s not that crystal clear water - but it does provide all water sports etc. Main highlight is the live rock music on Friday and Saturday nights. Definitely worth it. Rooms are great - with good views. Lots of things for kids to enjoy downstairs. The hotel is super secure as well.

Once we got to the lobby, it’s extremely hot with no air conditioner. When we finally got to check in, toilet bowl wasn’t clean, we could see yellow stains, then the tea spoon had stain as well. We stayed in seaview deluxe terrace, hoping to chill at the big balcony, however the chairs at balcony were infected with ants. Toiletries smell too strong. Breakfast was good but too crowded. Purple light in the room would make you feel dizzy. Definitely not a quiet place with big pools around the hotel, it’s more suitable for families with kids who love swimming.
