We were a huge group of 14. Upon walking in, the staff quickly put together a table to accommodate us. From there on, the service was nothing short of AMAZING. Huge shout out to Haris who patiently attended to us and his attention to detail is impressive. It has been a long while since we came across such an excellent service crew. He is definitely an asset to the establishment. Food was great too. If there is anything to fault, it would be the margarita. That needs a bit of tweaking. As hotel guests, we were pleasantly surprised by the 10% discount given :)

The service is good. Food taste is OK but we expected better given the price of the food. Portion is huge which is good. The signature burger patty is a bit lean and not quite flavorful. We like the nachos more. There are kids menu available. Note that the live band will only start playing at 10.30 pm. So if you have dinner at an earlier time there and want to enjoy the live music, you need to stay back and wait. Perhaps enjoy a cocktail/beer or two while waiting. Kids are not allowed after 11 pm. The band is good and we enjoy the first set played from 10.30 pm to 11.00 pm.

Hard Rock Cafe is located within Hard Rock Hotel Penang. It is on the left hand side of the main entrance. There is a car porch infront of Hard Rock Cafe. I patronised the Hard Rock Cafe during CMCO and glad that they were very strict and also followed the SOP. Waitresses & Waiters - Very friendly. Dining Area - Very clean. Came here for dessert and coffee. Ordered the brownie and a cup of black coffee. Brownie is good and coffee is very good. A little pricey but considering the quality of food, service, and overall how nice the place is, 5-star is easy to give.

Celebrating something this evening. Checking out the cafe from the last time we came way back before the Covid-19 strikes. Everything still pretty much the same and fine here. Live band is usually performing on Friday and Saturday night.

It was full house when we reached. While waiting for our table, we browsed at the shop. The cookies and cream milkshake was good but the strawberry cheesecake not that nice. OMG the nachos came in a HUGE plate! Us 3 adults couldn’t finish it. Service was awesome, professional and sincere.

Visited Hard Rock Cafe located within the premises of Hard Rock Hotel Penang for lunch during our arrival and departure timing. They have great and friendly staffs who served you with excellent services IMO. Heads off to all the staffs at this cafe. They have delicious Asian Style food options, along with Western options. Many different types of alcoholic beverages options if you are a alcoholic lover.

Great food, great ambience with the uniqueness of its own. Every single corner and easily become a photogenic spot for people to capture their greatest moment there. Staff service is the best one can ever expect. They are always attentive, efficient and treat customers with utmost hospitality. This cafe is kid friendly and they even organized some little programmes while we were waiting for our meal. The signature burger is a bit sourish which might not suit the delights of all local tastes. Other foods are ok. My kids loved the kids meal very much although it's a bit pricey.

Burger was top notch. The french fries were a bit salty and slightly over-fried. The shrimps were amazing. The strawberry lemonade was great, but half of the glass is ice. The service staff men were inattentive and seemed to intentionally avoid me. The service staff women were much more helpful and friendly. The rest room was in good condition. The restaurant was rock-themed with rock music playing in the background. Overall, highly recommended.

It was great experience. Ambiance was spot on just that we are early for live band show. Overall food and beverages were decent. We have no complaints.

Visited Hard Rock Penang yesterday with family and relatives from Bangkok. I think Hard Rock Penang has lost its shine and the excitement it gave me when I visited Surfers Paradise and Tokyo. Service attitude in Penang is below average as the staff are not friendly and warm, I and my relatives felt the same too. The food is more toward normal western food which you can get even better at any café in Penang, furthermore, the Hard Rock prices are toward the premium side but the food and service are poor and I will not recommend it to any of my friends or relatives visiting Penang. The management should look into it seriously and engaging in a mysterious shopper more frequently to review the service and food quality before the situation get worsen. My average spending yesterday is RM100 per person for a normal western meal and nothing fancy except poor and unfriendly treatment.

Very nice stay. Room is relaxed with the sound of waves. And oh, the swimming experience was so good! As far of today, guest's mysejahtera needed to be checked at the reception counter. Lots of relaxing area by the pool and its connected to the beach!

We were staying at the hotel and decided to come here for dinner. We ordered the original and the Messi burger. It took a longggg time to arrive. By the the food arrived we lost our appetite ☹️. Both the burgers were bland , we did not like them at all. Average experience for expensive burgers. The ambiance was nice and fun though . Wouldn’t recommend the burgers. May be the other things on the menu are nice, can’t say anything about them. Halal though.

When my family and I was staying at the hard rock hotel last month, we went for dinner here at the Hard Rock Cafe twice, the food was very nice and the waiters and waitresses were delightful. New York strip was cooked perfectly medium rare and the burgers were very juicy. If you don't mind spending, this is a good place to eat and drink while vibing to the iconic rock songs in the background

Stayed here for a night to usher in my birthday in January but forgot to share pictures. Nice place with a nice pool. The areas outside are pretty quiet due to lack of tourists. Went for a drink at the café but unfortunately the band wasn't there. There only perform on weekends

Great place to dine when you're at Hard Rock Hotel Penang. The staff are friendly and service is very good. We especially enjoyed the New York Strip Steak, Beef Ribs, Nacho, and Caesar Salad. The beers are cold and the music selection is nostalgic hahaha (feeling old)

Had a belated birthday party at the HR Cafe. Food is standard fare and was good as expected. Drinks are fabulous and loved the strong mojito! Staff are efficient and friendly. Loved the birthday cake and their sing-song. Enjoyable eveningindeed. .

We dropped in for Brunch on a whim, so good we cam back a couple of days later for simple lunch. Brilliant staff, great food at a fair price. Thank you for looking after us.

This review is for the hotel, not the Cafe Restaurant. I can't find much to complain about here. It's not really my style of hotel but, having said that, the rooms are clean and well maintained, the staff are all friendly and mainly attentive. Reception staff great, bar staff great (because we tip). Pizza place staff not so great, mainly due to training IMHO. Staff should be responsible for a zone of tables and should be present and observe when the customer has finished or is looking for attention, not absent or chatting or clearing some unrelated table at the other end. Proper service would really elevate this aspect. Customer first !! Despite this one shortcoming we had a great stay. Location is easy walking from night market, pool opens out onto the beach, lots of stalls, food of all types very close. Children all well supervised, unlike some other resort hotels at the other end of BF beach.

I used to be a true Rockstar on board, but now the concept is modern.. for true rocker vibe or Rockers have to maintain. Overall the live band is awesome and the staff are top notch

Have always loved the live bands here. u can see people queueing to catch the live band bout 9pm ish. The food served was a big portion. the bbq chicken was tasty. but the steak was just alright. great place to drink chill and enjoy the band. seats are quite limited though.. hopefully they can extend to cater more crowd

While service was good, food isn't tasty enough for the price you are paying. The burgers with beef patties even though supposedly cooked to medium tasted like dry minced beef. Onions rings looked presentable and tasty but crumbled after you cut into them, second best to burger King rings. Smoked ribs while smokey were a bit dry. The fish in the fish and chips tasted fresh and crispy but lacked seasoning. Lots of people had their birthday celebration there this Saturday. So this place is more for the hard rock Cafe ambience.

Came here as an American looking for a taste of America. Instead was denied a table bc I was alone. Was told the bar was the only place I could sit. Many, very many tables remained open while I had a few drinks and ate. Here is the kicker, I am a disabled American and explained I had leg issues and a lower chair was better for me. But was still denied a seat at a table. Also asked for a drink from the top shelf… was told they only sell that by the bottle… no wonder they were dusty. As a disabled vet traveling far from home Hard Rock Cafe and The Seminole Group should look into the policies being implemented by there employees. This is the first bad review I have ever left, and I’ve been served frozen steak at a 5 star restaurant on Thanksgiving. Last time I look for a taste of home from Hard Rock!!!!

Came for lunch with friends. Recommend to order the Jumbo Combo for 4 to dig in. The grilled chicken Fajitas were well done and delish. Surprisingly not much of a lunch crowd to drown the relaxed atmosphere. Please do give a thumbs up if you found this helpful.

Had a wonderful time here in Hard Rock. Loving the room excess to the pool & loving the music played under the water. Staff are very friendly and attentive. The room was clean and spotless. Will definitely come again!

I have recently visited and i liked the Ambience, service. It was my first visit over there.The staffs over there were good.They escorted us to the table.Well I found the food was average and also too pricey! And the band members also took time to start their performance.We waited long.Over all the experience was good.

Made a reservation a week before. Got a call from the customer services on the day of my reservation just to confirm my reservation. The lady was kinda rude as she speaks very loud and harsh reminding me that they could only hold the table for 15 minutes until they have to cancel my reservation. My reservation was at 8:30pm. Arrived there by 8:25pm. But they don’t let us to seat as they have to clean the tables left as the customers just leave the place. I was standing there to wait them clean and none of the staff bother to ask me whether do i have reservations or not. So i walk in to the Hard Rock shop to purchase the Hard Rock Penang T Shirt while waiting for our table. After 30 mins i was in the cafe then i got the call from the receptionist to confirm about my reservation if I’m coming or they are going to cancel it. I just simply said that I’m already here and having my drinks now. Terrible service. Ordered the Wings for starters. Love it! Taste so good. We ordered the same New York Strip Steak as we don’t find the other menu is quite interesting for us. The steak was just okay. The taste, the tenderness is average. Not really worth the price. Drinks was okay too. Not my favourite. Love the Cheesecake. It’s so tasty yet kinda expensive too! Overall experience just okay. There’s a better place with a better price for this kind of meal offered here.

The burger is nice, no wonder is the signature of Hard Rock Cafe 😜 & has a cute plate with 🎸design for kid. The room is clean & has a nice view. Not sure because I came in Puasa Time or what, the hotel &the swimming is quite 👍

Reviews are solely for the restaurant which I rropped by for a quick drink. The signature cocktails were just alright paired (which were also quite overpriced) with mediocre service. Ample of parking and live band was awesome though!

Had dinner here tonight. Had 1 Original Legendary Burger (Medium Well Done), 2 Swiss Mushroom Burgers, 1 Coca Cola and 2 Cranberry Juices. The burgers were somewhat bland and the accompanying potato fries were a bit too salty. The Coca Cola and cranberry juices had too much ice cubes that the flavour was very much diluted. Ambiance and music were nice and lively. The restaurant was packed to capacity by 8.00pm.

Very good experience a night in Hard Rock Hotel. Staffs are friendly. I stayed in lagoon suit. With swimming pool just right in front of your door. So nice. Hard Rock Cafe serves quality food but the portion is considered huge for me. Price is reasonable for a 5 stars Hotel. 🌟

Ubiquitous antiquated rock and roll items give a strong hard rock vibes. We are craving for scrumptious western lunch. Upon arrival, it was inundated with people during lunch and can't even get a seat without reservation. I opt fish and chip and original legendary burger. These are the two popular dishes and I do recommend the medium well beef burger. The taste is awesome. It was a zingy experience.

Even you are not a guest of the hotel,can come here to enjoy a drink and the beach views. Many hotels locates around this area,so you could choose to go to any bar or restaurants inside these hotels. So you could get a bite and grab a drink to enjoy the beach view. There is a bar and spa inside the hotel.The bar next to the swimming pool call zand bar. We ordered some snacks and cocktails.The chicken wings and popcorn chicken were good.But the pizza just soso.Also the cocktails are very sweet and don't feel the alcohol.It charges around 40 ringgits for a glass and 99 ringgit for 3 glasses. Not worth it. But the facilities and views are nice.The credits go for this only.

Food was average… quite disappointing for the price. Pros: Loved the Hard Rock experience, we got a waitress named Sha who was excellent, easily one of the best servers I’ve had the pleasure of meeting. Super enthusiastic, helpful, and made sure we had everything we needed to have a good meal. Cons: Burgers were lackluster - super dry and under seasoned. We requested a medium rare option but they all came well done. Another disappointing thing is even if you’ve spent hundreds on your meal and hit the minimum spend for any promos they run, you don’t qualify for any discount at the Hard Rock shop unless you are also staying in the hotel.

Well, is hard rock. Excellent service with average food at big prices. The normal beer selection is disappointing, at least it was draught. The band was great, they didn't play the songs I requested (might have been too hard) but did cater to the audience well. So it's all good

Nice pool, kids having great fun, u need to pick near to pool..more convenient..after check-in ..directly open the door and u can jump in the pool..1.4M. btw, nice food and SOP is well practicing.

Nice environment and staff service very great. But better do the reservation before go there. We very lucky still have bar trade table to enjoy the food and environment. Live brand will start at 1030pm if have chance will come and enjoy the food and live brand there 👍🏻😊

This cafe is a amazing experience. I have kids with me and they loved it there is music great music playing in the background. Very cool collection of famous outfits and instruments around the building. The service is great and the staff are so nice. The food is amazing, so filling and portions are perfect and for the price this is a great place to go to if you are in the area.
