First of all, parking can be pain in the butt during dinner time, so you may have to park somewhere else and work. The ambience of the restaurant was Nyonya theme, decorated with vintage props. And it was clean. Staff and owners were attentative and polite. Food portions were right. We ordered fried rice, inchie kavin, fried kangkong, assam prawns, rendang ayam, and lohbak. All good and taste healthy (no MSG). The Uncle Roger would hate this place. However, I felt both inchie kavin and rendang ayam were under-cooked as meats were hard to separate from bones. Assam prawn was a bit let down as I was expecting a bit of that tangy, sweet taste of assam marinade. Later, I was told it was dry cooking method. Nevertheless, the prawns just tasted like BBQ prawns. Other than these, the restaurant is the place to entertain your guests, both locals and foreign alike. These are just my personal opinion. My wife and daughter, however, loved their homestyle cooking. Would I go back? Of course. The best part; you can enjoy nyonya cuisine affordably. It also serves lunch sets. So check it out.

A hidden Gem in Penang. Should be the best Nyonya Kitchen in town. Asam Fish; Cincalok Pork; Sambal Prawn is a must to try....many more....

They say Penang is the Food Capital of Malaysia and I can see why if “they” ate here. First time for us eating Nyonya cuisine and it was unreservedly delicious. The staff were very helpful in explaining the dishes to us newbies and each and every one was very good. The owner had a chat with us too and that was very interesting in hearing her approach to providing traditional food made the old way. And it showed. Can’t recommend this lovely little restaurant enough. We booked that same day and I’m glad we did as it was busy the whole time we were there. One final observation is that the cold nutmeg drink has to be tried at all costs. Oh yes, it was very reasonably priced too.

Restaurant is quaint, very clean with minimalistic decor. Was a very nice place to chill for lunch in the middle of the hot day. Came to realise Peranakan food in Penang differs slightly from Singapore's and Malacca's, didn't see any Babi Ponteh or Ayam Buah Keluak, but Bibik had other items which were still superb. The Cincalok Pork was great (bordering addictive), and the sambal prawn and petai hit the right spots without being overly spicy. Lor bak was a good alternative to ngoh hiangs. Price was reasonable too. 3 dish 1 soup, plus drinks and dessert came up to RM95 for 2 pax. Will be back to try other dishes!

This place is FABULOUS. The ambience, warm and inviting staff - especially Bibik herself - and most of all, the food, is absolutely wonderful. You cannot go wrong here. Each dish was fresh, flavorful, and well-presented. We ordered 5 small dishes for a party of 3 and it was more than enough, even though we polished all of it off. Will come back when I am in Penang again. So glad we found this lovely restaurant with authentic nyonya cuisine. A true gem.

Lols..my wifey stuck her head in to Girlie's Kueh coffee shop although it was closed she walked us to her main Bibik restaurant. We made reservations for the next evening. We did not regret dining there, the food was authentic , delicious , fresh and took me down memory lane of how my grandmother used to cook them. For me the gula melaka sago was simply divine. I will be Back!

Authentic Nyonya cuisine in the heart of Georgetown. Dishes were served in smaller portion, certain dishes lacks in flavour but it was good overall. My favourite of the evening will be a sweet ending- Sago Gula Melaka. Parking: Difficult to find Environment: Cozy, limited seatings Service: Good

The food is great and the portion is enough The lor bak is really good, right amount of 5 spice and the meat is nice. The sago gula melaka dessert is special and delicious. 5 stars for the service too, such attentive worker who brought a chair to a customer who had no place to put her bag.

Ambience: 4/5 Food: 4.5/5 Service: 4.5/5 Have been looking for a good Nyonya food in Penang and I could say finally I’ve found one! This is rather a small place so make sure to book early to avoid disappointment. The tauke soh is very friendly and gave us some kuih to try (on the house). However, we felt that the portion of rice was not equal among different types of rice. The pandan rice seems lesser than the lemongrass rice (forgotten to take photo of it). Despite being the only waitress in the restaurant, the girl did a good job in maintaining her cools to deal with the almost-full restaurant by herself! The restaurant also showed its digital-side by employing a robot to deliver dishes to table. Lastly, the taste of the food is beyond satisfactory except that the meat can be more tender. Will definitely revisit!

Good, authentic and homey nonya food at very reasonable prices. Must try the cincalok pork and plain omelette (simple but it was so good).

We loved the home cooked styles food. Great taste and delicious! Knowledgeable and helpful staff sharing with us more information about the food ingredients. Enjoyed this dinning experience. Looking forward to have another chance to visit for other authentic dishes 😍

I have to say the place is slightly over rated. Food is soso, service is slow, it takes them so long to come and take order from us. Maybe lack of manpower. While they have a 10% service charge, I would expect a better service given. No nyonya feel, not to say the food is bad but is normal.

Super good food, definitely a must-go in Penang. Tastes authentic and very aromatic. Ordered sambal prawn and petai, ayam rendang, otak otak, cincalok pork, egg belanda, bobochacha, sago and jiuhu char. While almost dishes were very flavorful, sago and jiuhu char could be given a miss.

Nice little nyonya restaurant. Friendly staff. Food is very good, served in a short time. The place is a bit narrow so if it's crowded, you might get bumped into.

The place is run by a mother daughter team. Serves delicious Baby Nyonya food. Their menu is simple, not too much yet enough of the mouth watering good stuff of this wonderful fusion from the old world. Resraurant is clean, staff efficient, boss friendly. Family dinner to celebrate my wife's birthday turned out to be simple yet special.

Small portion size so we were able to try out more dishes. Ordered ayam rendang (dried chicken nyonya curry), sambal prawn, Jiu Hu Char (stir fried vegetable dish, to be wrapped in lettuce with hot sauce), cincalok pork (pork cooked in fermented shrimp paste), all were superb and we had to ordered 2 plates of rice so that the sauce won’t go to waste!!! Absolutely destroyed everything. If you are a fan for coconut and palm sugar, the dessert bur bur cha-cha and sago gula melaka (西米布丁) will not disappoint. Perfect ending to our dinner.

Possibility the most satisfying Penang Nyonya dishes experience in Penang at this moment. Authentic Penang Nyonya taste for all dishes we ordered this evening. Owner and daughter are friendly and chatty making our entire dining experience so enjoyable. All the dishes for 3 of us this evening for less than RM100.

Food is delicious. Minus for the service, some of the waiters are not wearing masks and the plates were not taken away once we finished with them so we ended up with a table full of dirty dishes so that by the time we ordered dessert, we had to clear the table a bit. Not the most attentive of waiters also. This is a restaurant, not a food court, so I expect a bit more effort. Price is quite ok.

Decided to visit as listed on Michelin Bib, did not dissappoint! We walked in on a rainy Friday night and somehow managed to get seated immediately. Food took quite a long time to arrive but probably because there were too many customers. (Even saw them rejected some customers even though there were some empty tables). Everything we ordered was superb: Jiu hu char, rendang chicken (gravy was good), otak-otak (which had a unique color), loh bak, and cincalok omelette. Highly recommended to come try their food!

The food tastes fantastic and I love nonya food. One of the best nonya restaurants in Penang after having tried so many in Malaysia. Prices are affordable and the ambience is great. Highly recommended to go for their signature dishes.

Came early without a reservation, was allowed to share a large table with other small groups. Food was decent, nice homey nyonya dishes though portions are quite small, but the service could’ve been better. We were served by an older lady who we thought would be experienced, but she couldn’t even explain the dishes properly. When we asked what egg belanda was (as there was no description on the menu), she told us it was omelette in some spicy chili sauce. Aside from that, she kept trying to upsell us on drinks even after we had refused a few times. We told her we wanted to get dessert later and she still wasn’t satisfied with that response. She then recommended nutmeg juice, which I said I’m not a fan of. To this, she responded with a judgey look which was really uncalled for. Honestly, the food was alright but this experience gives me enough reason to visit the other restaurants along the same street instead.

Everything was super delicious! From the kuih 🧁 , to the mains, rice 🍚 down to the tea 🫖 I would for sure come back with my family. The service is pretty good too! All the staff was kind in making sure all our needs are met. They understand our request very well and recommended dishes that would suit our requests. 10/10 recommended! And the decor of this restaurant is utterly cute and unique! 😍✨

This was among one of the best authentic Nonya Cuisines with great ambience. It was recommended by one of the Grab Taxi uncles. A Michelin Star 2023 Eatery This was a Halal Restaurant that does not serve Ayam Buah Keluak, Itek Tim, Babi Pongteh, and Nonya Chap Chye. The Foods served was delicious. The prices were reasonable except for our wine corkage charges

The reviews don’t lie, the food is delicious. I do wish I came with a large group to try more of their dishes but I was really wow-ed with the standout flavors. Staff is kind and courteous. The ambiance is cozy and clean. I will definitely come back the next time I come back to Penang! So glad I came to try :)

Most of the food were great. Love their Or Bak and Chicken Rendang. Jew Hu Char was good too. Their Sago Gula Melaka and bubur cha cha are both must try desserts. Too bad one of their signature dish - Stingray Gulai Tumis was a big dissapointment. Stingray was probably cooked separately and has no taste, the Gulai was mainly sourish without other expected complex flavor. Wouldn't recommend their lemongrass drink too, as it taste like plain water with a dash of lemon.

Came here for lunch and was greeted nicely by one of the staff, perhaps she was the owner. Very friendly. We ordered the prawn and pineapple curry, the dutch egg, fish ball soup, stirfried morning glory with bean sauce and the sago with coconut dessert. I quite enjoyed everything. Price was also quite reasonable. It's worth a visit if you're In the area.

Good Nyonya restaurant! All dishes we had were delicious, and one could tell they used mostly ingredients prepared by the owner.

Just wow, we had a few local dishes, the spinach, and laksa were stand out. Can't recommend it more. After dinner, we found out that this place is a Michelin Star contender. Such good value for money as well and lovely staff. The owner particularly was very welcoming. If you are visiting Penang, then this should be on you to do list.

We had a dinner for 6 here and really enjoyed everything. I’m not a big fan of super spicy food but I was really happy with how everything tasted. We ordered: - Inchi Kabin (fried chicken) - Pineapple prawn curry - Sambal prawns - Egg Beranda - Rose Apple kerabu (salad) - Pandan rice - Rainbow rice Desserts - Sago with gula melaka - Bubur cha cha Would definitely come back and recommend this to anyone who would like an intro to Nonya food that’s not crazy spicy.

Food was average at best. The ayam rendang sauce is quite good but the chicken itself lacks flavour. Spicy kangkong can be better as it is neither fragant nor spicy.

👍 Queue seemed quite long when we arrived around 2.30 pm but we only waited about 20 minutes. I think they should have more signage to tell customers what to do so the process can be easier.
