Good for a half an hour short climb on jungle track and step routes. Local coffee and plain water are provided by volunteers at the Station No. 46. Normally hikers will proceed to Station No. 84 in tarmac road which is partially flat and sloping (less than 15 ° gradient). From Station 84 it takes another 40 minute to one hour hike to the Penang Hill top, a tourist spot.

Much needed rest stations along the way if you're hiking Botanic Gardens to/fro Penang Hill. It's a great walk but the road is steep so these rest stops are much appreciated. Monkeys are common in the area, just don't provoke them. They're used to people. Near this stop, if you go the unpaved path you will end up going down the stairs to the Botanic Gardens. It is a long and tiring path. It felt like a thousand steps honestly. Dangerous if you're not careful or clumsy. My legs hurt like crazy days after.

Shelter here but not much else. Across the road is a dirt path that leads up eventually to Penang Hill. About 1.5hr hike from here. Steep in places and trail is washed out at several spots.

This rest area doesn't look as well kept as the others. It's located a bit further in from Station 47 (another rundown rest area).

I like this station. Can come to here either through jungle trail or hiking by tar road. Rest for a while. Have pandan tea, coffee and chinese tea (plain water too). Toilet provided. Monkeys all around so please take care of your belonging. Nice station in the nature.

A nice stopover after Climbing the 1000+ steps from the Botanical Gardens. It’s about a third of the way up Penang Hill. There is water and toilet facilities, also lots of seating. Looks a bit run down though.

(Translated by Google) This Toya is located about 1.3km from the entrance of the mountain trail next to the Botanical Garden. The steep uphill from the start to here continues, so I think it's a good place to take a break. (Original) この東屋は、植物園脇の登山道入口から約1.3kmの場所に位置する。スタートからここまで急角度の上り坂が続くので、一息つくのに良い場所だと思う。

It took about 30 minutes to reach Station 46 from the entrance from Botanical Garden. Lots of staircases. Good workout. Not as busy as trail to Station 5 from Youth Park. You can continue your journey to Station 5 or 39. It can take another 1 hour to Station 5. Prepare to sweat. Enjoy. I am glad we have good hike trail in Penang.

Rest station with toliets free boiled water, tea and perhaps some entertainment of monkeys trying to steal stuff. Watch your belongings. Freindly attendants and well used by locals doing fitness routines. A well needed rest after the straight up climb from the botanical gardens

Toilet a bit smelly..the place slightly rundown and could do with a revamp or sprucing up. A bunch of chinamen were laying around as if it was their bedroom.. I'm guessing they were resting after getting to station 46 but it is a rest stop for all..so if a bunch of guys are laying around like tht, some with no shirt..its a big turn off. Also a bit of rubbish strewn around.. irresponsible humans who else. Otherwise its okay...

Good place to chill for a while before continuing on your way up to the peak or descend to the bottom of the hill. Just a shelter providing free pandan leaf Chinese tea, coffee n drinking water are available. Locals sit around to chitchat n while away the time. Toilet facility available here.

(Translated by Google) Hiking to the observation platform of Mount Penang. If you are not physically ready or feel uncertainty in the forces, better give up the idea. Climbing five and a half kilometers, and it's all under the slope of 40-50 degrees. If you still dare, bring plenty of water and glucose, believe me, it is useful to you.
