Fabulous hotel with a great history! Warm, clean, comfortable rooms. Real pleasant and efficient staff. Great food in the restaurant at a reasonable price. Hitelcompletrly accessible for those with accessibility needs. My toom had one of the best walk in showers I have used anywhere

The rooms where dusty also the staff had bad attitude not friendly also. The hotel looked cheap front entrance was not welcoming the hotel needs refurbishing the hotels is rundown and the rooms are tired like the management the person at the front desk named Andrew wasn’t professional also has a bad attitude shout out to the staff at breakfast very friendly and helpful. Wouldn’t recommend staying here you rather go to the Edinburgh Malmaison

Great location and really friendly staff, very good breakfast. We stayed in the Club Deluxe room on the ground floor, which I was disappointed with. No view, only an internal window facing on to cladding with secondary glazing to avoid noise from the bar, a very small bathroom and a/c that couldn’t move the temperature down. Furniture and bed very comfortable, but didn’t feel like good value.

City centre hotel a good 15 minutes uphill walk from the main Glasgow train station. Big spacious rooms. Breakfast area below ground floor. Nice selection of breakfast food and friendly staff. Would stay again.

A beautiful hotel that has been stunningly decorated. The restaurant is amazing and has good size menu with perfectly prepared meals. The hotel is centrally located.

A beautiful hotel in a lovely part of Glasgow. Our room was lovely! The bed was huge and incredibly hard to get out of. Well decorated! Only downsides were the fact it was facing a construction site, not all of the plug sockets worked and the knob fell off the shower as it wasn't properly secured. Overall though a beautiful room still! The bar was lovely. We had some beautiful cocktails. The breakfast was top notch. The food we got for room service was lovely although very pricey. 17.50 for a burger. The calamari was super expensive for the portion size. It was all beautifully cooked though! Special mention to Megan on the front desk who was incredibly helpful and knowledgeable of the local area. Would definitely stay again.

Great hotel, staff really friendly, managed to get checked in 2 hours early for no cost which was so handy. Room was nice, decent sized bed for a standard room, big tv with sports and movies, waterfall shower and nice towels. No AC in the room but you'd only need it 3 days a year in Scotland. Taylors tea and coffee bags in the room, and they let us take a fresh milk jug from the restaurant up to the room. Bar prices not too eye-watering, breakfast good with decent gluten free knowledge for my partner, although not serving lorne/square sausage in Glasgow is a bit bizarre.

Central but not too central, nice big high ceilings in rooms. Restaurant and bar on site. Staff were bubbly and efficient at front desk. Discounted parking 1 min drive or 6 min walk away. Rooms are well done, with nice features/quality touches but could benefit from some form of temperature control. Deal included 3 course meal which suprised with the quality, the kitchen team really know what they are doing. Bar is expensive for cocktails but its nice and chilled, music is not.loud, and is worth paying for that alone! Will return and stay in future.

My wife and I stayed for our 10th wedding anniversary and we had an amazing stay here we had the date night package which was excellent we received a room upgrade which was a nice touch from the hotel our room was superb we stayed in one of the suites which we couldn't fault our meal was excellent and don't understand the negative reviews on here. I would like to give a special mention to the gentleman at reception he was very welcoming and helpful and made our stay great also the bar woman we had our first drink with she made me a salted caramel espresso martini on her recommendation and this didn't disappoint also to the barman later in the evening who made the pineapple smoke cocktail this is a must try. We had an excellent dinner and breakfast was superb we will definitely return to this lovely well run hotel credit to all staff that were working on Monday 10th April fantastic.

Absolutely lovely hotel. The staff are great, really friendly and accommodating. The only thing I would say is that there are stairs to get into the hotel and I didn't see a ramp so not the best for accessibility, but maybe there was and I missed where it was located.

Beautiful room and only few minutes from the centre of Glasgow. Staff were lovely, couldn't be more helpful. Got room service which was lovely, breakfast pretty good. We had construction outside our room so was a wee bit noisy at times but didn't stop a great stay.

After my wife staying at Malmason travelling for work for a number if years we stayed at Edinburgh which was a really good experience. So we decided to a stay in Glasgow. Stayed in a club deluxe room which was very underwhelming. Breakfast was luke warm but other then that was good and service was good. What was super disappointing was the way the front of house dealt with a problem. We were watching television when a light shone through from the ceiling into our room through an air vent. We could hear voices. We rushed out to speak to front of house who said it was 'workman' in the gap between the ceiling and rooms doing some work. It will stop in a minute. Ridiculous unacceptable spoke to the front of house 3 times and after 45 minutes the workmen moved on. From our experience it was poor room, poor service. Repair the floorboards, change the name of the room and from club deluxe to standard and that would be a fairer representation

Malmaison Glasgow is located centrally and nearer to Queens Park Railway Station (in fact almost a straight walk). For the ones interested in shopping, the hotel is extremely near to Buchanan street. The bed is comfortable and the breakfast wholesome. Rooms and the staff are warm and welcoming. Try reaching out to Tina and /or Meghan. They are super friendly, chatty, and solution centric.

Spend two day here. Quality brand with nice branch, can't compare with other Malmaison's but it's okay. Staff is quite helpful. Room design is nice and wide. Only problem about cleaning, they should check ventilation filters at bathrooms, looks disgusting. And tables weren't cleaned well. Rest is okay, but you expect something better for amount that you've paid.

Decent stay at the Malmaison Glasgow. Rooms are clean and tidy however there are a few elements which could be improved and a few renovations can be made here and there. We had breakfast included and must say the options were superb. The fry up is superb and everything is cooked to perfection. Location wise the hotel is up a big hill but ideal if you are wanting to be in Glasgow but not in the hustle and bustle of the city centre.

Had a lovely stay here for a work event. Staff on reception and the bar/restaurant were very helpful and friendly. Room was great and perfect location

Location, the design of the building exterior and the layout inside, with breakfast room, bar and meeting room downstairs are all very nicely done. Room was great for a business hotel, big enough to sleep and work, and clean. Internet worked fine, though I would not mind having a separate login and password for every room (just an additional feeling of safety). Breakfast has good options and the coffee is ok, which is all one needs. The people at the reception were always super friendly and and helpful too, which is great, especially for people like me who visit Glasgow for the first time. All in all a good experience. One note of caution though: If you want your room cleaned everyday, make sure to opt out of the "non-cleaning option" that gets you a free drink. It was absolutely fine for me, but I also didn't pay attention at check-in and found out the second day, when coming back to a messy room, that I had opted-in 🤣

A very good hotel in an ideal location. Superb staff and dining. The rooms are stylish but are looking quite tired in several areas.

A good comfortable hotel with great service. I had issues with hot water in the bathroom. It was so hot (almost boiling) and very difficult to control. There was a sign to warn water was hot. I wouldn't expect this from a hotel that charged £145 per night. Also one of the taps in the sink was broken. Apart from that, no issues

Rooms are dated and poorly maintained, location is OK. Bar has no atmosphere and very expensive, avoid. First time I've ever been downgraded in a hotel. Booked a suite, both TV's were faulty, mini bar had not been restocked, downgraded to club room, no heating in bathroom and bedroom lght did not work.

Staff are brilliant and the bar is lovely. Rooms are OK, but little things like the position of the TV in the room is not great, there is a bath with overhead shower instead of a walk in...a little dated, and the painting in the rooms is really poor. Overall does what is says on the tin.

Room is great etc…. Food on the other hand 🤮 disgusting steak was far too fatty also asked for medium rare and they gave us medium to well done, the lemonade and lime drink we ordered was like water and lime and same with the orange and lemonade, for 75 pound I most definitely won’t be back, better steaks in Wetherspoons

The restaurant was absolutely amazing! I ordered a steak that melted in my mouth and I was left wanting more after I finished the meal. The staff were incredibly kind and welcoming, especially Anne.

Nice hotel - good room size, clean and well-kept, friendly helpful staff. Good location for the business end of town, and only about 10 minutes walk from Glasgow Central station. Room temperature was really good - no stuffy aircon. Would happily stay here again.

We have just came home after an over night stay. One of the best nights away we have had. It was gift for our recent wedding and the hotel went above and beyond for us. The staff are amazing and work so hard we received amazing service from all of them. The food was outstanding and the rooms are lovely. Would definitely recommend here and will be back again

To start, all the staff we encountered was wonderful. Our issue was with there being no air conditioning in the hotel. It was incredibly hot and the hotel did have a desk fan in the room but that was incredibly inadequate. We needed the windows open and had all the sounds one would expect from close to a city center. In addition the was no top/flat sheet so it was either duvet or nothing. For a 4 star hotel this was really not acceptable. We had the worst sleep (or lack of) in a hotel we’ve probably ever had, prob about 3 hours. Again, the staff was lovely, breakfast was great, but a hotel that you can’t get comfortable in is a no no.

Although table booked for lunch in restaurant only table in bar with bar menu. Burger served on small wooden platers which when removed at end of meal the relish slipped onto my shirt and trousers. I can only assume no plates were available.

My son & I stayed at Malmaison Glasgow. He loves history so we reserved 2 rooms in the old section of the hotel. The rooms were so comfortable, the amenities nice. The bed was heaven. We had dinner in the bar, breakfast in the restaurant. The staff was fantastic with recommendations, we needed a barber for my son. They were friendly, helpful, & we will definitely stay there again when we return to Glasgow.

The people really makes this hotel. They are extremely friendly. The standard room is small, but nicely appointed. Other rooms are larger. We had breakfast daily. It was worth it. The breakfast selections are wonderful. Discount parking is available at the Waterloo car park.

My wife and I stayed here Friday 1 July 2022. We were allocated a room on the third floor (354) and on entry we noted due to the loud construction noise from the adjacent building site that the window was open and that this could not be closed due to a latch failure. I contacted reception requesting that this be resolved; I was advised that someone would be up straight away – no one came. I contacted reception once more requesting a room change which was granted, however we were allocated a room on the opposite side of the building away from the building site on the first floor (114) with no lift access. Having carried our suitcases up a total of 28 steps we arrived at our room. The room was hot with no air conditioning and the irony here is this room’s window could not be opened – careful what you ask for eh! I reported my dissatisfaction on departure to be advised that there is a fan in the wardrobe (which could not be closed by the way). A fan just moves the same hot air around the room, so the advice was in my opinion nonsense. The bathroom extractor/grille was so noisy that sleep was difficult. We won’t be returning any time soon to this establishment.

Fabulous food and staff , but rooms are very dark even with lights on.

Comfy bed, small but efficient stylish room. Car parking a minor issue as it's a few blocks away from hotel & fairly expensive even with hotel discount. Would definitely recommend & happily return staff friendly and welcoming. Food excellent

Do not stay in room 106. I've not even left my room yet and I'm leaving this review as I've had about 3 hrs sleep. I have been woken up 5 times during the night by vehicles and people emptying/filling bins. The main purpose of a hotel is to sleep and that's not what I had. Now my partner has a long drive and I have a flight to take on very little sleep. The staff are wonderful, the room is nicely done out, and the location is good. But if you can't get a good night's sleep the value of the room is 0.

I thought the hotel was lovely in terms of the architecture and design. However, that was about it, I spent almost £200 for one night and the experience didn't match the price. No real welcoming touches or anything to merit the price. Breakfast was exceptional but for £18 per person, that's the least I'd expect. Other than that, I don't really get the hype. I was woke up at 7:15am by a delivery lorry and then building works beside the bedroom. In my opinion, it wasn't a great experience for the price.

  • 5/5 Charlotte D. 1 year ago on Google
Clean rooms, friendly staff, good selection of decent tea and coffee in the rooms. Very good breakfast and selection. Staff knowledgable about allergens and plenty of choice if you are gluten free My only complaint regarding the room is the duvet and pillows are a little heavy for the time of year. I can see it would suit most the year in Scotland, I am a hot sleeper so found this a tad uncomfortable. 2nd night found a fan in the wardrobe and had a better night's sleep (I wouldn't downgrade a star for this as this is a preference rather than a fault with the hotel)

well-situated and easy check-in with good service. The rooms are lovely, spacious and the bed is gorgeous and comfortable. I loved the decor in the bar - a super place to stay in Glasgow.

  • 4/5 Review G. 2 years ago on Google
Great hotel. All the rooms I stayed in here are all the Mal style, dark and funky. Can't complain about much as I stayed in the club queen and it had a massive bed, coffee pod machine, iron, hairdryer, Big TV, bath and shower. The bar area is modern and funky and the food that we had was pub grub, the Thai noodles and burger were both great. Would definitely recommend
