This was one of the best places (including a few three start hotels) that I have ever stayed at during a trip to someplace! The beds were very comfortable, and the rooms & toilets clean! The owner was really sweet and friendly.. There are both, a railway station and a bus stop, right across the road where you can find transportation to Central Glasgow. All of this, at a very affordable price! It was a delight to stay here, and I would definitely consider staying here the next time I visit Glasgow. This is a place that made us feel like we don't deserve something so nice! Thank you, Mauro, for making our experience of Glasgow much better than it already way.

I recently had the privilege of spending incredible time at ALBA hostel and I can honestly say it was an experience that exceeded all my expectations. From the moment I walked through the doors, I knew I was in for something special. Service: The hotel staff at ALBA went above and beyond to make me feel welcome and at home throughout my extended stay. From the front desk to the housekeeping team, everyone was friendly, professional, and always ready to assist with any request. They made me feel like a valued guest, and their warm hospitality made a significant difference in my overall experience. Overall, my stay at ALBA was an unforgettable experience. It provided me with a comfortable and luxurious home away from home, and I will cherish the memories made during my time there. I would highly recommend this place to anyone seeking a remarkable and extended stay experience, Thank you, ALBA, for making my stay so exceptional!

Very accomodating staff, great location that is close to all kinds of little shops including a laundry service and a train station! The rooms are clean and the showers are hot. This place is perfect for backpackers or those who have a budget. This is an awesome hostel!

Met with open arms by a helpful host in Mario. The hostel is secure and includes a car park at the back. A fridge with free sandwiches and crisps on the side is a nice touch. Helpful that there was a wetherspoons next door for a drink. The botanic gardens are a half hour walk down the road and the west end itself is just an hours walk. Overall a great stay, would recommend.

Owner was amazingly nice/friendly! Beds were comfy, rooms had lockers and their own bathrooms which was amazing. Best thing about this hostel besides the staff is the full kitchen you have access to. They don’t run activities for the guests but there are a few communal areas to interact. A tiny way out of the city but so close to Anniesland station that you’re there withon 10 minutes anyway.

I had such a great experience at this hostel. Mauro made me feel completely comfortable and even checked on me when I was unwell and always welcomed me with a smile. If you need somewhere to call home for a little while this is the perfect place!

Dear Alba Hostel Glasgow team, I visited your hostel a few months ago and it was a wonderful time in Glasgow and the stay at your hostel definitely contributed to the great experience there. It was my favourite vacation. I really loved how friendly the staff was and how clean and secure the shared 6 person-bedroom was. The people there were great, staff, other guests, really nice. The possibility to cook in the kitchen was fantastic and the breakfast was also swell. It really was a joy to stay there and I don't have a single negative critique point. It was really good! It was also great to meet the people who stay there longer than a few days, too. That made it possible to easily chat with people who knew their way around the city, too. And breakfast was always a nice and open atmosphere. I liked how the hostel attracted respectful, friendly and open people. [[Sidenote for people who have allergies aswell: the room was really clean and they had nice bed sheets (like regular good old cotton material, not something with a synthetic main component)]] Best Wishes, isabel

Friendly, welcoming, comfortable beds. Private parking, easy accessible by public transport, quiet. Very generous as well, I got a discount :-) recommending this place if staying in Glasgow. Only thing that was a problem for me: kitchen doesnt open before 7.40am. So if you need to get out early for work or travels, or if you just wake up early, you practically can't have breakfast or need to get your stuff out the night before, because the door is locked in the morning.

My husband and I stayed here for a couple of nights and we had a very wonderful, peaceful, relaxing, enjoyable stay. The beds were comfortable, we enjoyed conversations with fellow travelers, Mauro at reception was so incredibly friendly and accommodating, kitchen facilities were excellent, common rooms were great, showers were hot and had great pressure, quiet as it is located further out from the city center yet it is a very short walk to bus Stop and train station. Great value. Would recommend to others!!

I've wrote a review months ago on trip advisor and this is a second review. I've never reviewed anything in my life but feel this needs to be done. This should be a place we're other hostel accommodations take the lead from. When I arrived I was a broken homeless man broken physically mentally and emotionally my spirit was gone. When I was told walking through the door welcome to the family I never expected 3and a half months down the line that family was exactly what they promised and thats what I got. I got welcomed and treated woth dignity and respect and have been basically loved until I loved myself by staff in here. There will be a time I have to leave here and honestly I'm looking forward to it and saddened at the same time because there's no place like this anywhere. I'd like to thank Jimmy for seeing in me something I thought I'd lost and kept pushing me to get my fight back and I have achieved more than I ever thought in these months. I'd also like to give mauro the biggest mention for the support love kindness and all round help to get me on my feet again. There's no were in glasgow that compares and I think the locall council could take some direction from these people. Hearing the word hostel brings up notions in people's heads if gritty addicts bedrooms and the worst and vulnerable in society. This is the inly place that can take the most vulnerable and turn there lives around just by the care and human aspect of their interaction. Any fault when reported is fixed the next day. They can't do enough and not once have I ever felt beneath anyone I've been helped to hold my head up and be counted. Like I said I never review anything but this needed doing and I hope the staff see this as my words can't do justice to how I feel. The alba hostel is far the best thing to happen to anyone who has the luck to get in. If you want a life there there to help of your just not willing to help yourself then you will look back on your time here and wish you'd done more to be part of. Also a shout out yo the night staff every one of them has been amazing any time of night if their needed there there. Do friendly and caring you wouldn't believe. Thank you alba for everything I love you all
