Terrible service. WORSE rooms. Let me tell you. Me and my boyfriend decided to stay here over the weekend to celebrate his birthday. I can honestly say in my 32 years of living, I’ve never stayed in a more disgusting room. We are in the middle of a pandemic right? Where do I start. The bathroom looked like it had never been touched prior to the previous guest. Hair in the shower, stuff underneath my feet when showering. The “clean” towels had who knows what on 3/6 towels. (Boogers and blood is what it appeared). The hotel rooms phone had hair and dust all over it. There were 2 literal crack pipe indentions on the carpet. Oh and the best part about the whole thing? Was the previous guest information on the table in plain site. Meaning, they in fact had not cleaned the room prior to us coming. For $150 we were blown away by how awful our experience was. Not to mention the incredibly rude front desk worker, pattie who continuously told me to calm down when I was in fact not raising my voice. She was just embarrassed since 3 new guest heard everything I was saying and also quoted “we saw a crack pipe too!”. She kindly said she would discount us $20 for our problems. $20.…. So just a warning to anyone with a slither of class, avoid this place at all cost. Unless you want to smell crack in the hall way! Thanks for helping us out affordable inns! We will be disputing this on our credit card.

We usually stay here when traveling to Glenwood Springs so we generally know what to expect when coming in. However, this past weekend I noticed that almost every aspect of the stay from room quality to front desk service to just overall amenities like the new continental breakfast was significantly better, almost like it had been completely overhauled. I asked the staff and turns out, that is exactly the case. I learned that there was a change in ownership and I must say, the new ownership really overhauled this place into a much better experience. I’ve stayed here many times and never has the experience been this perfect. The rooms were spotless and what seemed like new beds made sleeping very comfortable. Not only was I well rested in the morning, but I also learned that they now provide a full continental breakfast, which really made the entire experience seem perfect by getting to start the day off with a solid breakfast provided by the hotel. Kudos and hats off to the new ownership for making this an even more perfect stay for visiting Glenwood Springs. Will definitely be staying here again.

To start, the room is too expensive for being so small and stinky. The service I had was terrible, I forgot my wallet at the hotel, I called and I went in person and they denied that they had it, when I returned to my city (Denver, which is 3 hours from the hotel) the next day I called to ask again if they had it, since I saw that they tried to pay something from the hotel with my debit card (they tried 4 times until they got 80 dollars). After begging her on the phone, she told me that they did have it, I asked for her name but she didn’t answer. Anyways I traveled 3 hours back to look for my documents. Upon arrival she made me sign a paper that said they would charge me 350 dollars for "smoking in the room" which never happened. I signed for fear that my wallet would not be returned to me, in it I had very important documents that I needed to travel.

Not a bad budget-friendly option. Good location close to downtown. Amenities are very basic and no frills. Safe, clean, and no bad smells. Pet friendly is a plus. Our beds were not comfortable and exceptionally bouncy and bed linens were thin and did not keep us warm at night. Accidentally left a hat in the room that was not recovered.

The front desk service was the worst I have ever experienced. The woman at the front desk was beyond rude and had the worst attitude of any person I have ever come in contact with. I was absolutely appalled that a Hotel would ever hire a person like this for a job in the Hospitality Industry where customer service is their job. You can not say the things she did in such a rude tone in the hotel industry, especially when the customer is being reasonable. I was only trying to get information on an item I left behind from the previous day when I stayed here. This all happened at around 3pm on July 10th 2023. I will not return and can not recommend.

We had an amazing experience at the Adventure Inn in Glenwood Springs! I could tell that the place has been completely revamped with new ownership, as the quality of the rooms were excellent, and the staff was really friendly. I had a very relaxing sleep overnight and the beds, along with the pillows, were really comfortable. Also, I was delighted to learn that they provide a full continental breakfast, which was delicious and got me ready for my day. Overall, it seems that the new owners have been going above and beyond to make sure the stay was as pleasant as possible, as I had a really great experience at the Adventure Inn. Will 100% be back here again when I am traveling to Glenwood Springs!

Not safe and not clean. There is no staff on site and all building doors are unlocked at all times of day and night- no security for entrance requiring a room key for entrances around the whole building- anyone can come in at anytime. Virtual check in, there is no staff on site to monitor who is coming and going. Upon entering the room, the shower was full of dirt, there was hair on the “clean” towels and found hair between the bed sheets. Immediately left due to feeling unsafe and the state of the room. Upon calling the hotel to notify of this (as there is no one on site to speak with), they refused to refund for my stay despite these conditions. Of note, this was on 10/30/23, the date in which the individual was found with with a room full of guns, ammunition and bombs at the adventure park- indicating that security for guests would be ideal.

Check in took over 30 minutes with only 1 person ahead. Check in was on a video screen and was crazy slow. The person had to hang up part way through and restart the system. After the 30+ minutes with a bunch of people now waiting to check in, Tried to check into our 2nd room and they required a different ID than the first reservation even though they were both reservations were under the same name and I just gave up so everyone else wouldn't have to wait even longer and tried later. Person in front of us was super frustrated too. They refused to compensate for this incredibly long wait. Secondary impact, this screwed our plans for the hot springs which was tight to start with and not feasible after the delay (BTW 1.5 to 2 hrs is a good time to allow for the hot springs). They should take off Valerie’s review on their website as there are no cookies :(. As you can see by the owner's reply, they don't really care and you apparently get judged on your privilege level. I'll add: the room cooling system is an incredibly loud wall unit with a fan that blows all night long. The batteries were dead on the cooling unit's remote. Also, breakfast was about as low quality as they come. At $250 a room, one might hope for something better, but I'll leave that to all you to determine where to spend your money. PS - They do have solar panels on the roof which is nice.

For the price of the room per night, there shouldn't be guests for free ( roaches ) Now I have to clean my bag out before it can go in my house 🏠

Nice location, good wifi, good service and comfortable beds. It's an older hotel that needs some updates. The roof outside was leaking right at the entrance while we were there. It wasn't hard to go around but it needs to be fixed. We also expected a bigger breakfast but instead we got donuts and coffee. But those were some of the best donuts I've ever had! 😋

I had a reservation and when we got there we were informed that they sold our room we had reserved. Every hotel in the area was sold out my son and I had to spend the night in my truck. Worst hotel worst experience. I travel cross country a few times a year this has never happened before

Worst hotel I have stayed in. Key cards kept malfunctioning, old and dirty. Complimentary breakfast was someone behind the front desk handing you a pastry, no ice machine. Price we paid was ridiculous (holiday weekend). I could go on, and on. The room, though old, was clean, bathroom not so much including cracks in the sink which had been caulked.

Called to see if we could check in early. They said that they would try and call me back once they knew. arrived 20 minutes after 3 pm and the room wasn't ready. Once we finally got in the room a huge water stain in the bathroom made it dangerous to shower. The outlets sparked when you plugged in and the room reaked of cleaning chemicals. So much so that my dog threw up for 3 days after we left. I would not recommend staying here. Reservation: 3665 update 8/10

Pros: Staff was friendly, water quality, refrigerator, coffee, allow dogs Cons: Breakfast was GROSS and should not be advertised as breakfast considering it's day old donuts and cereal, room was clean but not nice so it looked dirty, AC unit was so loud we couldn't sleep / it woke you up when it turned on so the room was hot, pillows are tiny,

Budget hotel for sure, but my room was recently renovated/ modern and clean. Light breakfast offerings, not the most walkable part of downtown though still close to some restaurants. I'd recommend this place to a budget minded traveler as a great value.

I have stayed here in the past and i noticed a lot of positive changes in my most recent stay here. It seems there has been a change of ownership and management and they are doing a fantastic job and have made a lot of improvements to the property. Value for money nothing beats this property in Glenwood.

The only reason I'm giving them 4 stars is because I believe ownership changed between when I booked and when our stay was. This caused a bit of confusion as the hotel name was not the same and the charges were confusing. It is an older bulding and the walls are thin so loud children could be heard in the halls. I know this is not the hotels fault, just be aware. The room was neat and clean and staff was very friendly and helpful. Price was competitive but then again they honored the price of the previous ownership. Overall, we would stay here again.

Paid $90 and was disappointed. This is a run down & dingy motel. No breakfast. No thermostat, so have to get up in the middle of the night to change the temperature. Terribly bright white light in the bathroom. Lot's of light pollution on the exterior. Exactly as one would expect for something named "Affordable Inns". I got tricked by a fancy photo showing up on Google Hotels as the first image.

It was a wonderful experience the staff were friendly I was able to stay for 3 nights for less than 300$ through the week! Had a great time. The rooms are a bit dated but that also reflects the price. Bed was comfortable, free wifi (if using a Mac delete your DNS) and work great and fast! They have a laundry room on one site that you can use at the end of your stay to clean your clothes. The only disappointment I found I'd that there was not breakfast as advertised, so I asked about it and the told me that it was shut down due to Covid and hopeful soon they may be able to get it up and running again.

This hotel was dirty and disgusting. I payed $200 to sleep here. The worse thing was I had my dog with me who did not make a peep all night. When I got my credit card bill I had been charged $50 for a barking dog. No one told me or called me. I am pretty sure they had the wrong room. The manager called me back and would not take the charge off my room. So with the dog charges.....I payed $270 to sleep in a terrible room. I will never stay at this hotel again. I would not even give it one star. Terrible.

My girlfriend and I stayed in this hotel for one night. I read other reviews mentioning cookies and breakfast, to there were no cookies but there may have been breakfast. When we opened our room we saw holes in the carpet, yellow and brown stains on the walls of the bathroom, and the smell of urine abounded the room. We were so disgusted we went to Target and sprayed Microban on everything in the room, no exceptions. The only reason we stayed was because it was only for the night, but we spent as little time inside (or thinking about being inside) the room. The price is appealing, but the apathetic staff and haunting smells and stains ensured that we would never return to this hotel.

I consider this a 2 star motel (one step above small family-owned "motor courts"). Did not like the front-desk/check-in "video kiosk". I prefer a face-to-face person who pays local taxes and supports the local economy rather than someone in another country. We stayed at this motel in the past when it was locally owned and the door at the far end of the complex required a key to enter. Now that door is open to the interior of the motel and even though it appears to have video surveillance, it is a security issue. The door also bangs shut if not held from doing so, so don't get a room on that end of the motel! The rooms are not carpeted, so the floors are cold to walk on in bare feet. There are no closet areas in the rooms to hang your jackets/shirts/pants. Advertised a hot tub and there was indeed one on the property, but my wife said it smelled like it had mold growing in it, so we considered it unusable. There is a small patch of grass out front for your dog to relieve there self, but the dog-poo bag dispenser was empty both days we stayed there, so the dog area had poo piles. The rooms and common areas are clean. The continental breakfast was above average with hot and cold cereals, fruit, hot chocolate mix, milk, donuts and coffee machine (empty the second morning). Over all, there are better motels in town for a similar price.

My other half and I decided to take a trip to the hot springs for a night. We purchased a room online for this hotel. We got there and it was not clean, the lights didn’t work, the shower was clogged and the room smelt moldy. This room was $200 for the night and that is what we got. We also couldn’t find a place to park at this hotel. You would this for $200 a night there would be enough parking for everyone but that’s not the case. We have also awoken to bug bites inseveral spots on our body. We do not recommend this hotel at all. And will not be returning to it.

Was looking for somewhere to stay on a whim with our dog and didn't feel like calling around to every hotel to find out if they're dog friendly. Great marketing idea to add it into the Google maps listing. Front desk was friendly and room was clean but the shower could definitely use an upgrade. Bed was comfortable but this could have been because we upgraded to a room with a king bed. You even get a fridge and microwave! I've definitely paid more for less in Aspen and Vail. My expectations were low for the Affordable Inn, and it's quite possible we got a room in better condition than some of the others, but I was not let down.

I visited about a year ago with my boyfriend and this was the WORST hotel experience I have ever had (and I've stayed at an Econolodge in Pueblo, CO and was pleasantly surprised). Firstly, we had reservations for one night and the front desk man was already cold and unaccommodating. We get our room key and the room is located a half flight of stairs down, so already we're put in a dingy half basement type of set-up. We open our room and already the carpets appeared stained despite the patterning designed to hide most of them. Not only do the carpets look stained, but the walls are yellowed as if the room hasn't been retouched/deep cleaned ever. Not only did it appear dirty, but the room smelled of urine or ammonia which warranted an emergency run to the nearest grocery store for some Microban. The bathroom was sketchy at best, although I do not remember any specifics. I highly recommend visiting Glenwood Springs, but please, do yourself a favor and stay ANYWHERE else.

I don’t see what all the fuss is about, although pricier than I would’ve liked to spend, this room checked all the boxes. Still cheapest room I could find in Glenwood. Conveniently got to park right across from my room, the heat was really nice and everything was clean+good TV set up. Quiet at night too. Not a bad spot

I loved it!! Super clean and nice rooms! I loved the fact dogs could come and I did feel more sucre with knowing dogs were around. Location was great! Just off the main road there. Just enought to where you didnt hear noise or have too much foot traffic. They were renovating the kitchen so no hot breakfast like normal. But I hear the breakfast is really good. No coffee maker in room but they are getting new ones and will be in rooms shortly. Loved loved loved the fact dogs could come here and stay!! Not many hotels alow that!! It made me HAPPY.

You don't want to stay here unless you cannot find place to overnight. Very old and not clean. Front desk lady was friendly and nicely.

We were very happy to get a room due to the unexpected road closure. Really didn't know what to expect. We were pleasantly surprised. They are in the process of renovations. Friendly and helpful staff!
