A very pleasant experience from start to finish at Le Petit Atelier des Faures. Especially memorable was the beef tartare with the most flavorful and masterful sauce, and lovely cabbage. Absolutely amazing. Merci!

If you are looking for a great tasting experience you cannot miss this lovely spot! Amazing food and wine and even greater service. None of us could speak French and the staff went the extra mile to translate the menu for us and explain us what to expect from every course. We loved Bordeaux, and we are looking forward to visiting the Atelier again ♥️

Fantastic food for lunch! The ingredients were fresh and seasonal. The menu, while small, is special and changes every day. The host and chef are both charming, and the wine selections were wonderful. I couldn’t remember the last time I have had such a unique, beautiful and delicious salad.

A cozy and casual restaurant with creative plates. We were sat at the bar and enjoyed seeing the two chefs at work, and to speak with the server/bartender. The staff work hard and are busy, so service is not always fast but it was very genuine and personable. Each dish we tried was tasty and unique, and the wine list had a nice variety of local selections. I would be happy to return next time I am in Bordeaux.

Amazing restaurant! We went for dinner and totally loved it, we had mushroom soup, tartare, tataki and chocolate mousse for desert, everything was delicious and the prices were very reasonable. The personal were also super nice. This was our favourite restaurant during our vacation in Bordeaux. Not to miss!!

Incredibly delicious, gourmet food for such an amazing price. Went for lunch and had an appetizer, main dish, and dessert all for 19 euros. In Bordeaux, a lot of subpar restaurants charge a minimum of 18 euros for one dish, so this set meal plan is such a steal! I was astonished with how cheap it was for such a high quality, fine-dining meal. I ordered the oyster appetizer, pork belly main dish with black pudding and sweet potato purée, and the chocolate cream dessert. Each dish was exquisite in flavor and beautifully prepared. The pork belly melted in my mouth and the chocolate cream dessert was an absolutely delicious surprise. I did not expect that a cream dessert would blow my mind. It was a well balanced touch of light and heavy, sweet, but not too sweet, and delicious shortbread biscuits on top. This place is so good that we booked a reservation again for dinner tomorrow. After that, we’ll probably plan on going a third time for lunch before we leave Bordeaux. The staff is extra nice and attentive too. This place is a local’s gem. Make sure to make a reservation before going as this place fills up rapidly sometimes days in advance. EDIT: Within less than 24hrs, we went again for dinner and it was just as mind-blowing as the first time. I had the parsnip soup appetizer and the fish main dish this time. Both were absolutely delicious and had the perfect unique combination of flavors & textures. I’m not a seafood person normally so the fact that I thought a fish course was “mind-blowing” is a first for me.

We received a warm welcome by Hugo and the food and drinks did not disappoint either. The flavours and presentation are well balanced. Despite the very hot weather, everyone worked hard so we could enjoy their creativity. Well done!

Menus creatively designed, brilliantly executed. Made with love and vigor by 2 young chefs who showed restraint and mastery of culinary skills. Delicately balanced yet flavourful dishes coax our palates to delight. Saucier deserves special mention for flavour and texture. Even before we sat down we knew the place would be special. Went too early, before restaurant open, and the chefs politely and kindly told us we were early. Many can choose to ignore, or tersely tell us to come back. They love their customers, and it shows in all their plates.

A lovely cosy restaurant. The dish I have is really nice. The cook finds a good balance with the taste and the texture. Each dish displays beautifully, evokes my appetite. The wine list is complete, you can also get a nice advice from the server. I have a nice conversation with the severs. They explain well the ingredients of each dish. Hospitable, friendly and patient are the impression I have from them. The price is fair. Me with my friends have starter, main course for each and have a bottle of nice wine for 36,75€/per. If you travel to Bordeaux. This restaurant won’t let you down.

Amazing meal, would highly recommend. Forgot to take a picture of dessert but the apricots with amaretto mousse was incredible.

Excellent food and service. Located in an unassuming part of the city, we were super happy we came and tried it out. There are very limited choices but every dish was amazing.

My partner and I stumbled upon this little gem and were greeted by the warmest staff. Hugo waited on our table and was really knowledgable and friendly, taking the time to speak to us. The food was unbelievably good and really reasonably priced.

Small and nice bistronomy restaurant in the city centre. There are only a few tables which makes the atmosphere feel more intimate. During lunchtime they have interesting menus from which you can chose. Every single dish we tried was well presented and really delicious. Everything is homemade too ! Just to finish the staff is really helpful and warm.

Anything less than a 5 wouldn't give the restaurant credit. Super good food, really good service, the waiter was patient to explain dishes, help with wine tasting before ordering a bottle. Incredibly good food, some of the best I have ever ate.

A wonderful restaurant with delicious and unique dishes. There’s care and eye for detail, unexpected flavours melt very well together and the portions are precisely good. The staff was lovely, warm and very helpful. Al for a seriously good price!

If you go to bordeaux you HAVE TO visit this restaurant for sure. The flavour is beyond your imagination. When you passing by it doesn't looks like its something awe but the food is extremely tasty trust me. Nice experience. Nice atmosphere. Very friendly and nice service. I highly recommend this place

Excellent - everything from service to food. Wine menu was well-curated. Good value considering the quality and quantity of food. The mushroom soup was great (the best I ever had), so was the Hake main - perfectly cooked, seasoned and thoughtfully accompanied by delectable chinese cabbage. The most memorable dish of all was the citrus/lemon cream dessert - WOW!

Definitely add this to your list of must try restaurants when visiting Bordeaux. It is a little off the beaten path, but only about a 12 minute walk from the center of town. It is a small place that fills up fast so be sure to make a reservation in advance. The service was exceptional and took their time to explain every dish to us. Everything was fresh and delicious. A small changing menu with a variety of choices that will tantalize your taste buds. It has a very nice hometown vibe which is very nice. Warm, friendly and delicious. Looked like a lot of locals frequent this place so you know it's good.

All the reviews hold true - excellent service & food. We were a little thrown off walking into this area at night, but the restaurant is definitely worth the excursion. Delicious!!!

Small spot run by two chefs and one server. Service is excellent but there was a table of 8 Brits that seemed to slow everything down. The tuna was particularly delicious; served with a tuna bone broth they simmer all day. Good wine list with lots of organic options. Definitely get a reservation (can be done through the website) and I recommend first dinner service.

Like what the other reviewers said about this restaurant, food is excellent and great service. I can't speak French and the staff explained to me the menu in great details. I asked him what I should try being first time here and his recommendation was superb, really enjoyed the food. Not only was the staff great with the customers, he was equally nice with passer-by asking for directions. The meal is also highly affordable.

I could not recommend more highly. The pork main was Michelin worthy. The best food we had in Bordeaux by some margin. If you can get a reservation do not hesitate in booking here.
