we’ve been coming here for years and it is the best Mexican food in Grand Island. Generous portions, and great service.

Worst service I have ever had at this restaurant. Been many times and it's always been good. For a lot of years. 9 people in the place and 3 waiters - waitress disappeared for 40+ minutes.

Had high hopes, I am only passing through town. If the food was hot and more flavor it would been great. Presentation was excellent service was great, but a cold chicken Chimney isn't that great, rice and beans were cold. I ate at 5:30pm on a Friday night I expected hot food.

If you are a foodie, don't miss this place. The food was SO good. I ordered takeout while passing through town. The carnitas were browned and crispy on top then so tender they fell apart on my fork. Pickeld onions, jalapeno, avacado, and light, fresh pinto beans. Perfection. (Ignore the uninsteresting photo background, it was takeout to go!)

I come have been to this restaurant approx. 3 times. I will NEVER return! I was looking forward to a fun dinner with my friends. The waitress wouldn't bring us water after asking her at LEAST 3 times. She rolled her eyes and snarled anytime we asked her for something. She never once came to check on us after we recieved our food, which she didn't even bring out to us. We were there for a total of 2 hrs and she came to our table 3 times. Each time we asked for water, each time she didn't do that. She was extremely rude. There are plenty of good Mexican restaurants in Grand Island, I would never return here, especially knowing I'm not the only one who has had to experience her as a waitress.

Ordered the Fajitas El Pueblo expecting it to come out sizzling. Unfortunately it was not sizzling and not very warm. The shrimp was rubbery but the flavors of the fajita overall was good. Cheese sauce and strawberry margaritas were delicious but the chips were cold and very thick. Sad to say first and last time eating here 😶

Clean, spacious restaurant with a full bar and plenty of menu items. The bar is a bit small...only a half dozen seats or so but it offers a variety of tequilas and four or five Mexican draught beers. The food is excellent but a bit pricier than it's cousin across the way, CarlosO'Kellys. The house salsa is weak and watery...ask for the spicier picante salsa it has a nice flavor and color. The chips are thick and tasty. Try the Mad Bull tequila...the bottle alone is worth a look

Amazing. The food was delicious. The service was amazing. Great atmosphere. Large selection on menu. We'll definitely be back. If you haven't been, give them a chance. You'll love this place as well.

Service was good but the food was mediocre. The menu said seafood Chimichanga but the crab in it was actually imitation crab and a bit too much of it. Nothing wrong with using imitation crab but it would be nice if they listed it on the menu as imitation crab. It”s not crab it’s actually made from surimi, or white fish flesh that has been deboned and minced into a paste, which is then mixed with other ingredients including both natural and artificial flavors, starch, sugar, and sodium. Not crab.

The service and atmosphere here are excellent! And the food is good. It's just that I ordered something different, and maybe I should've ordered something I'm more familiar with. I'm not used to enchiladas made with flour tortillas nor a white enchilada sauce. But the other food I tried was delicious!

It was ok, the salsa and chips were good but I ordered a shredded beef burrito and it tasted like chicken. And the "refried beans" were very weird tasting and we couldn't bring ourselves to eat them. Even though my burrito tasted like chicken rather then beef it was good

The food is alright, but definitely on the sweeter side of the spectrum. Sometimes, service is more attentive to each other than their guests. Big drinks, but not to sure how much alcohol they actually have in them.

Good food but gave a weird looking flan. Must have been a couple of days old.

Casual Mexican fare. Pleasant and clean dining area. Polite and accommodating staff. Enjoyable, but nothing special.

An late afternoon treat. Or early supper. Shown to our table, we had our choice of seating. Four groups other customers. We shared a meal and enjoyed it. I'm a big guy and the half of plate was just the right portion. Just like the wife said it would be.

Delicious & almost authentic Mexican cuisine!! This is always our restaurant of choice when we are in GI. Reasonably priced. Huge portions. Delicious salsa & queso!! They keep it tidy; Clean tables, restrooms and floors too!! Definitely will keep this place on our Top Faves list!!!

Highly recommend this place! The best Mexican food in Grand Island, hands down. They give you so much food for such a good price. I'm very pleased and plan on returning.

Wasn’t really expecting to find good Mexican food in Grand Island, Nebraska, so El Toro was a surprise. It’s conveniently located and in a nice building. The chips were served warm and are thick, both a win to me. The salsa had good favor; more on the mild side of the spectrum. I ordered a burrito, and it was tasty. I’m uncertain about how I felt about the cheese sauce it was smothered in, but the burrito certainly didn’t lack for size. It was packed nicely with chicken, rice and beans. I was slightly disappointed it didn’t come with rice or beans on the side though. Overall, a good experience and I’d visit again if I find myself in Grand Island.

Great friendly staff and food is ALWAYS hot. Been coming here for years and never had bad service or food!!

Food was absolutely amazing and the serving sizes were incredibly fair for the price we paid for our meal. We ordered to go and my only complaint is that we ordered queso and chips, and we got a small deal of cheese sauce instead. We were not informed they had no actual queso. Other than that I would 10/10 eat there again!

Pretty solid restaurant for south of the border flavor, but pretty kind spicing, overall, even for Tex-Mex. Always good service, fast order to table, endless fresh chips and salsa. Reasonable prices for food and beverages and the margs are spot on. I would go 5 stars if the spice and kick were a bit more, but I understand if the local population is mild, culinary speaking.

Food was OK, service started good but then went to straight awful. Our waiter disappeared for half an hour and then when he did reappear he still didn't come to our table. We sat for an 45 minutes with empty glasses, waiting on refills.
