Our kitten unexpectedly had noticeable distress earlier today and our normal vet office is closed today. So we called the Animal Emergency Hospital and were told to bring him in but to know that the wait would be significant due to staff shortage and high occupancy at the hospital. We were reassured however that depending on severity of symptoms, our baby would be treated accordingly. The visit itself is a pretty reasonable price and obviously there are charges on top of the basic visit for assessment but all of the associated fees are really reasonable and the staff/clinic calls and discusses any fees and charges prior to doing anything. Every person we dealt with today was so nice and personable and sympathetic. And they are all women we have been dealing with and Iโ€™m a woman so I know that a bunch of women in a high stress environment can get a little tense sometimes when there is a lot going on. They are all so sweet and handle their jobs well despite having so much to do and take care. Even after we paid the balance and then called to change payment methods, the ladies hopped into go mode and got the initial payment method reversed and the new charge method in place. Just dolls ๐Ÿ’š๐Ÿ’™. We ended up leaving Tony for blood work and tests and vet consultation since they were not sure how long it would be before a vet could see him. But it wasnโ€™t 2 hours that we were home and the vet called to explain what was happening, to make sure of how we wanted to proceed and to answer any questions we had. Our situation isnโ€™t terrible and we donโ€™t know yet what the diagnosis for our kitten is, but we feel confident at this point that by tomorrow, after observation, we will have a better understanding of the issue at hand and can take it from there. He is in good hands for the night and we have peace of mind knowing he is well taken care of and that we wonโ€™t have to stress too much worrying about his health and the costs to get him all better.

This is the only emergency animal hospital the accepts exotic animals, including guinea pigs. I called ahead to ensure they did take guinea pigs and described what symptoms mine was exhibiting. I was told to bring him in because it sounded urgent. From the moment I stepped into the waiting room the staff took care of my pet and me. They were incredibly thorough when asking questions to help diagnose issues. They were also as kind and gentle as possible when they explained that he was actively dying. The diagnosis and options were slowly explained to me; they were so patient with me when I asked questions or requested they repeat what they had just said. I was allowed to be with my guinea pig when he took his last breath. My guinea pig, Alex, was treated with so much care and dignity before and after death. It is devastating to lose a member of the family and the staff there understands that if you're bringing your pet to them that they are part of your family. I wish I could remember every one on that staff that helped us that night, but I can only imagine that everyone that works here is as amazing as the staff that interacted with me. The building is clean and beautiful. The staff amazing. The prices are what I anticipated and not exorbitant. After I returned home I received a beautiful handwritten card that really means so much to me. A personal touch that sets this place apart. If your animal is a part of your family and you love them fiercely, take them to Animal Emergency Hospital. The entire team will treat your animal as if they are their family too. Thank you to the Animal Emergency Hospital for their professionalism and their care.

I had to put down my sweet St Bernard Gracie Mae today. I had no idea how hard that would be. The folks here really helped. They were so nice and so patient. The staff was wonderful. Pics are from her first ride, and her last ride. 11 years apart.

The team and vets at the Emergency Hospital of North Texas are amazing! Hannah, my bunny, had broken her leg, so being that she is considered an exotic, she needed special care. The vets assessed her condition and proceeded to make her as comfortable as possible. We were referred to Texas Avian and Exotic Hospital for further care and surgery. I cannot say enough wonderful things about Dr. Jones! She called me several times to keep me up to date on Hannah and answered all of my questions. Thank you for your kindness and care of Hannah! Thank you Dr. Wells for performing the surgery! Thank you to the entire team for your kindness, compassion and exceptional service!

My family and I canโ€™t say enough good things about this place. We took our 12 year old Yorkiepoo here who was having some breathing difficulties in the middle of the night. From the moment we arrived, we knew our precious dog was in good hands. Our dog had to stay for a few days in their care. We were fortunate to have met with Dr. McGee, Dr. Chapman, Dr. Nguyen, and cardiologist Dr. Bennie. They were all very informative, empathetic, and personable and took the time to help us understand the treatment our dog needed.Every doctor, vet tech and office staff member we spoke to was kind and knowledgeable. They provided frequent updates over the phone on our dogโ€™s progress, and allowed us to visit him when we needed to. Their compassion exceeded our expectations! Thank you to all the wonderful staff here, who made us feel like our dog was just as important to them as he is to us. Wonderful experience!

I cannot recommend this place enough. The second Chunk and Wall-e entered the front door they were treated and cared for like they were the doctors and staffs own puppies. We will always be grateful for Animal Emergency Hospital of North Texas for saving our boys and being attentive to them. Not once did they seemed bothered when I would call 5 times a day to check on them or visit throughout the day/night. The boys are so happy to be home and on their way to recovery.

Our dog had an emergency and they were so great to work with. Receptionist was very friendly and got us into the patient room quickly. The doctor took some time before she came to see us, but it is understandable considering they are dealing with emergencies. The doctor was very detailed and understanding. Our pet had to stay there for a few hours, but when we came back to pick him up, he was back to his normal self. We are so thankful for their timely help.

I canโ€™t thank them enough for the empathy and care they showed me and my baby. I wasnโ€™t sure how to go about getting emergency care for my little mouse when she had some sudden symptoms occur. Thankfully I was given their number. Unfortunately, we had to make the difficult decision to let her go peacefully. Many people have no idea how special a mouse could be to someone, but I got Matilda after a really hard time in my life and had attempted suicide. She lit up the very darkest days of my life. So to have her cared for with the respect she deserved, I canโ€™t say thank you enough. These are the reviews I hope the staff reads. They deserve to know the impact they have had in someoneโ€™s life, especially a person who trusts animals way more than people. It gives me so much hope to have these interactions with people. They cared for both of us with more empathy and humanity I couldโ€™ve asked for. The kind words of encouragement from everyone was way more than I expected. Thank you all for the love you show your patients.

Our dog was too old and sick to make it but they instantly tried to make her better and were so compassionate and caring with our family. They showed genuine care and concern for us in a really hard time. If there was a way to save our baby, I am confident they would have found a way to do it but it was her time to go. They worked quickly to get her back to be seen, she was in critical condition. The vet was very knowledgeable and took time to explain things going on with her and the risks that we were facing. Thank you all for caring for Winney.

Thank you all so much for saving my baby and understanding our financial situation to work with us on our bill. We will always be grateful. Our ferret ate some earplugs on Friday memorial weekend and he was in really bad shape, he needed surgery and wasn't going to make it another 3+ days to get to another vet. When the initial bill came back I was distraught, it was more than twice what I could spend and borrow and I couldn't qualify for a care card so I thought we were going to have to put him down or watch him die slowly.... but the vet worked with us to trim some of the services off- recommended but not required diagnostics, 2 days of hospital boarding, things like that- until we reached a number we could just barely come up with. We were supposed to pick him up as soon as he woke up from anesthesia as part of that reduced bill, but the vet decided to board him overnight free of charge as it was late and he was very weak. We were waiting by the phone for any news and we were overjoyed to pick him up in the morning. Yes it's expensive and yes they are running a business and yes it's just for life or death emergencies unless you're lavishly wealthy- but they seem to genuinely care and I'm eternally grateful to have my baby back.

Thank y'all for everything!! I'm so thankful i came to y'all. Not being from the area was very nerve wracking when trusting someone with my pup. Robyn, especially, reassured and made me feel so comfortable, in every way possible and i can't say thank you enough!! The doctor called me and was very thorough and knowledgeable with the diagnosis of my pup and everything i needed to do moving forward. Y'all were truly awesome!! I would recommend to anyone!

We love this clinic! No one wants to have to go to the ER, but we've had to take several of our dogs here for various emergencies over the years. What's consistent has been friendly front office staff who make you feel welcome and work to quickly understand the problem. Once tests are run, the vets have done a great job of explaining what they are seeing, our treatment options, and letting us decide which option to go with and not making us choose the most expensive one. We always know when they are going to call with updates (usually the next morning) and they always follow-up. When our pets have been released to go home, we get clear written instructions and they also explain everything to us and we are told repeatedly by everyone to call with any questions.

This place is amazing! Before we got there, we called to let them know our pet rabbit had a problems with his eyes, the staff was already waiting for us. They referred to our pet as the "baby" (as well as other animals people brought in that night). This showed us they have so much love and pay super special attention to each animal. We are so happy and very satisfied with their work. The attention and patience the Dr and staff showed was impressive. They answered each question with so much tenderness (only pet owners who see pets as family understand how important this is). This is the second time a family pet has visited this location. Both times our pets have been treated like royalty. It was expensive but our rabbit can see again!!!

We were greeted in a friendly manner, in processing was smooth and fairly quick. The wait was relatively short. We found the Vet in the initial consultation to be professional yet empathic, he was an excellent communicator, addressing all issues in a comprehensive manner which left us with a thorough understanding. Our dog did need overnight care, when we called for a status update on his progress, we found another Vet to also be comprehensive and thorough. Picking up our dog, the paperwork and verbal explanation was good; however, it is very difficult to hear someone speaking in the lobby if more than one person is speaking. We left; however, with a good explanation and expectations, all medications and a comprehensive list of medications, their use and instructions for at home care and follow up. Excellent care for our pet

We brought our precious pup here a little after midnight a few weeks ago, but unfortunately she had bled internally and didnโ€™t make it. She had passed away in the car on our way there, but we didnโ€™t realize it. Iโ€™m sorry I didnโ€™t recognize what was happening fast enough, but the vet told us that at her age she likely wouldnโ€™t have survived the emergency surgery. Thank you to Animal Emergency Hospital of North Texas in Grapevine and especially Dr Katherine Nguyen for the kindness and care they showed us and how quickly they whisked her away and tried to save her!! Every person we came in contact with was amazing in a very heartbreaking situation.

This place is absolutely amazing if your animal is having a health emergency! My blue tongue skink started to have seizures out of nowhere one morning and we immediately rushed him here since we had no other emergency vet that takes reptiles in the area. The staff were amazing at stabilizing him and running diagnostics to prevent it from happening again temporarily. They gave me prices before doing anything and were very on top of giving me updates and results quickly! It is very expensive. There is no denying that. But if used strictly for life or death emergencies, I believe this place is absolutely phenomenal! They were able to stabilize my boy and he was back home with me just over 24 hours later with meds and recommendations for family vets and specialists to follow up.

This office saved my sweet 4 year old mini schnauzers life (Mochi โ™ฅ๏ธ). We transferred from a different veterinarian ER for their surgery specialist referral. I am so thankful and pleased with their service. Dr. McGee, Dr. Orencole, & all staff provided superior service, communication, and loving care. This was especially appreciated during this traumatic time. I could not be more pleased and thankful.

We took our two year old cat in and turned out he had a really bad ear infection in both ears. They helped get him the treatment he needed and then helped nurse him back to health until he was well enough to come home. Every doctor we spoke to about his condition was helpful, supportive, and knowledgeable. Their communication is excellent. Iโ€™m so glad we trusted them with our catโ€™s health.

Our dog was in a lot of pain from a tail injury late at night. Pleasantly surprised when the total time spent was only about 2 hrs (originally 3-4 hr estimate.) They took him back for immediate pain relief while we waited for the doctor to speak with us. She determined that we did not need costly x rays or other emergency service. Honest and polite staff. Thankful for their positivity and kindness. Very fair and up-front pricing.

Our Boxer Shiner has been here twice over the past 5 years and both times I felt great about the care he received and the staff were on point. The stitch job on his ear this last visit(9 stitches) was hardly even noticeable. Superior work by an amazing team.

Made a call letting them know I was coming in, they got me in a room right when I arrived. Considering it's an emergency room for animals it took about 20 minutes for a tech to come in and get details about what was going on. Then the vet came to speak with me within 45 minutes and took my dog for exam and x-rays. Pretty happy with the service received and happy to find out what was wrong with my fur baby. Helped me figure out what was wrong with my fur baby

The staff at AEHNT were incredible helpful and supportive during my visit. They listened to my concerns, made sure I understood the diagnosis and treatment, and took such great care of my dog. Our visit was both quick and (relatively) affordable, and all costs were very transparent. While I always hope not to need emergency vet care again, I wouldnโ€™t hesitate to bring my dogs back here.

The efficiency of checking Socks into your facility was amazing. I really appreciated being able to fill out the paperwork while driving down to your ER, and having a person on standby waiting to take Socks back to see a vet. You can see the and feel the care and support of the staff. I really appreciate everything that you have done for Socks. There will never be any words good enough to express the gratitude from me and my family. Thank you! Mailing the intake forms ahead of time and being very supportive.

So very grateful for Animal Emergency Hospital of North Texas. Our little 6 lb Maltese was really sick Saturday afternoon. Their receptionist/tech Robyn was so sweet and reassuring to a very distraught Mom. Dr Turner took Lily and ran tests; then kept her overnight to get IV fluids, anti-diarrhea meds, antibiotics etc. in her. I called every few hours to check on her and everyone was helpful. The entire staff was so good and so compassionate. My baby is back home getting better each day. Thank you for taking such good care of our Lily.
