Great hostel, even better staff. Definitely the place to be in Ciudad.

This might be my worst hostel experience ever. The staff was rude, called me ugly and kept on shaming me into doing their bicycle tour (which I didn't do because I was sick). The area was unsafe and they gave the worst travel advice I've ever gotten. My advice is: Stay away! Unless you like having staff bugging you like angry parents. The beds were uncomfortable and the dorm was mixed which came to a surprise for me. Honestly thinking about my experience at this place still makes me upset.

Amazing property in good part of Guatemala City. Marcos is really helpful and knows a lot about the city and the country. He offered to take me to a coffee shop and to the largest local market to get a sense of the city and its people. My room was an apartment in itself with a living room and a kitchen, all private for myself! Wish I had stayed there for one more night.

Nicely located with fun things and new discoveries nearby. The host will likely invite you out to coffee and drinks, Dutch treat of course, which you should accept as he has a great love for Guatemala and its capital city. He is a local with a depth of knowledge.

Excellent hostel. Clean and well kept (the shower drain well, for example, which can't be said for many places). The breakfasts are delicious. The staff is super friendly and accommodating. Walkable to great food in Zone 10. I stayed for two nights before flying out of Guatemala. I would have been happy to stay longer. Thanks Quetzalroo!

Best Hostel in town

Marcos, Peanut and the team are the warmest host in a clean and cozy hostile that is in an accessible location and close to the airport. I'd recommend a stay at Quetzalroo to anyone passing through or staying Guatemala City!

If you’re just landing in Guatemala City or spending a couple days there before your flight leaves this is 100% the place to be. Marcos, Peanut, and the rest of the staff make this place one of a kind. Very clean and hospitable and at a very reasonable price for the location and quality. Nice communal kitchen, good wifi, safe location, and if you’re lucky Marcos will be around with some time to show you some great places to eat, drink, or explore. I checked out the Popol Vuh and Traje museums at the nearby university.

Great hostel in zone 10. Convenient to the oakwood mall. Two museums walking distance and Mc donalds 2 buildings away, hospital righ across the street. Alot of bars nearby. Very good location. Marcos the owner is very friendly and helpful. We went to a jazz spot on Tuesday night Esperanto.
