As an American citizen, born in America who travels often, I never felt the discomfort and racism for being a hijabi as I did when I stayed at Dan, the front desk took a deposit because they needed to do a security check on us, which is absurd and then they told us there was no hotel parking and there hotel garage was empty with spots - and then I was looked upon by every single person in that hotel as they saw a ghost or an alien, I had one lady refuse to go into an elevator with me smh! I cried because my kids had to witness the discomfort I received when I walked out of room I PAID TO STAY IN, so if you are Muslim or an Arab, don’t stay in this hotel, save yourself from the disrespect and shame this hotel offers

This hotel is a gem. Fantastic service, amazing food of a very high standard (WHAT A BREAKFAST - INCREDIBLE!). Clean and tidy and well kept. They met every standard promised and more. We had a fantastic time. It is clear that this is a very well manged hotel and my appreciation and thanks go to management on a job exceptionally well done. If you are in Haifa, this is the place to stay, and BTW, don't miss out on their dinner as well!

Just staying at the beautiful Dan Carmel hotel, located in the center of Carmel Center, and I’m absolutely amazed by the sensational quality of the whole stay… Starts at the entrance continues with the rooms, up to the perfect variety and quality of foods… I will be definitely back! Our family enjoyed the hotel and facilities, service was excellent, food was great and it was quite hard to take the kids away from the pool. The hotel is strategically located to explore the local surroundings and attractions, which are numerous. Bottom line, when the question is when are we coming back for our next vacation, I believe that the quality of this one is clear. Thank you Dan Carmel Hotel for a great time.

This is maybe a Israeli 5 star Hotel but not in international ratings. First we got to the reception they checked our vaccination pass - what is good after this we have to pay the whole bill of our 3 nights stay in advance. The room was clean the bin in the toilet half full from some one else but this can happen. The fridge wasn't working and after a call to the reception they bring us 3 buckets withe ice cubes (it was a very fast response ). But lets say that this is all OK there was still the problem with the food. We ordered in the evening a hamburger - 2 half buns and just the meat between and a cup with plastic portions of ketchup and mayonnaise. The salad was just big chunks of not peeled cucumber and big pieces of tomatoes without any dressing. As I ordered a beer the waiter did bring me the bottle of beer and a glass half full with ice cubes. And then the breakfast : if u are there at 7 it is OK but after eight it is something like war on the egg station there is a huge waiting line but the people that don't want to wait come from the left side and the chef is getting there orders to the egg for the scrambled egg did come out of a tetra pack . The buns where every second day fresh and I got to times sponge balls. In the other previews I read that there are people that liked the food I feel happy for them - for me it was a disaster . Luck for me there a a lot of Burger places near by. In the end it could be nice to have a chair in the smoking area.

The service overall has been very good. The staff has been attentive to our needs or requests. Our only concern was that there was no one to greet us when we arrived and no one to help us with our luggage from our car to the front desk. Also we weren’t explained about the parking. The views are beautiful and the room is lovely. Also the food is delicious and plentiful!!

Room was nice, the food was really not up to par . Dan hotels are known for their great breakfasts and dinners. There were hardly any salads, bland food and the hassle to get hot water after the meals was very surprising. We won't be going back... shame..

Every time we are in Haifa we choose the Dan Carmel , I love the business lounge with the great view , breakfast is amazing , the rooms are spotless every time we are here , the staff is professional and kind , the front desk staff and security were very helpful , and shon from guest relations who greeted us in the lounge and breakfast .

Hotel was excellent, restaurant was superb. Bed was comfortable and shower was outstanding! My husband loves mango and Mimi, the restaurant manager, asked the chef to make a special mango dessert. Incredible service!

The Dan Carmel is situated in a wonderful location near the Luis promenade , with beautiful view, the ambient is relaxing and the rooms were clean and calm , in general a wonderful 5 stars hotel , great value to price, The staff is wonderful and the breakfast is very rich and diverse , many thanks to shon and Miri the guest relations for hosting us so beautifully and making us feel at home

From start to finish everything was perfect. The hotel staff are so professional. They go out of their way for you. The breakfast is superb and they don’t just throw vegetables on a plate they actually make delicious chef made salads and dishes. The facilities are beautiful and clean and the location is perfect. The personal touch was memorable, welcome note with popcorn, pillow menu, my name on the tv screen, tv on the bathroom mirror. I have been around the world and this hotel is a true gem!

Very nice hotel, good sized rooms, comfortable. The breakfast is good with a huge variety and selection of different foods. The location is also good and very close to different attractions.

We really enjoyed our stay here. Lovely hotel, very clean and lots of space, rooms are large with incredible views. We had breakfast and dinner in the buffet restaurant which was very good—lots of options, and really tasty. The service from the staff-Hashem, Maya and Timor— was wonderful.

Had a nice stay at Dan Carmel. The hotel breakfast is very nice and was included with our room. They even have a cappuccino bar. The bathroom is very nice. Hotel service was great and they were fast to bring me a replacement hairdryer. The rooms are little dark and bedding, while clean, wasn’t to my preference.

Room is clean. View is nice. Couldn't get the bay side which the view of the bay is amazing. Breakfast is great. Fresh, tasty and can easily make you full for the rest of the day. Different from others times I have been in this hotel the management personal didn't listen to an issue I present and my request.

After a long day and delayed arrival, enjoyed a relaxing late dinner @ the lobby Lounge. Laura and Anna provided friendly service and the meal (Corn soup and Grilled Sea-bass) was lite (key for a late dinner) and delicious. Thanks Laura and Anna for welcoming me to the Dan Carmel Hotel!

Definitely the best hotel in Haifa. Everything was great including the service, facilities, room, cleanliness, and friendliness of the staff. The breakfast buffet has a large selection of items and is definitely worth it. If you are looking for a great place to stay in Haifa, look no further. Thank you to the staff for a great stay. Always come back to Dan Carmel Haifa and Ben doing that for over 25 years, the staff have been lovely. Breakfast has been great and diverse , service bad cleanliness has been great but it’s time to update the decore . The reception staff is great and welcoming , met shon the guest relations manager at breakfast , he was wonderful and we had a great chat over coffee . Beautiful hotel, great room, amazing food. My only issue, is the pool opening times, which I can’t understand. I was there for a week for work and booked this hotel because it has a pool, I would have loved to have a swim before work or after, it’s certainly warm enough. But the pool is only open during office hours, very weird decision

We had a great experience at Dan Carmel hotel! The view to the beach is amazing and the staff couldn’t be nicer. They showed us around the hotel, gave us recommendations regarding our stay and overall the atmosphere was quite and relaxing.

We had a meetings event last Thursday at the Rondo Hall - Amazing view, great meeting room, delicious breakfast and snacks and great lunch in the restaurant afterwards. All the hoteliers coming from all over the world were super pleased with the view. On top of all, the Sevice is beyond all expectations. We shall definitely make other events in the hotel. Me and my husband Dr.Hakeem enjoyed our staying alot here in Carmel Hotel. It's very quiet here and everything was organized well and the meals were wesome and delicious.

Great hotel , you can really enjoy the silence and feel like you stay at the hotel by yourself. We have stayed hear for 3 days and had a great time!

I loved it in the past, but something changed and I'll never go back after my last visit. All hotel services are mediocre (reception, housekeeping, room maintenance & dining). You have to continually ask for missing towels, missing food you've ordered and even for the room you were told you're getting "in 5 minutes" almost 2 hours ago. The staff (including some managers) is rude and unresponsive. It seems that this is their policy (except for a nice customer relations lady who tried her best, but it was too much to handle). It's a pity because I really loved this hotel... I guess I'll have to find another one for my next visit in Haifa

Rooms have an amazing bay view for Haifa beach. Very clean and nice hotel and very good service. The food was delicious at the breakfast. The location for the hotel is the best and I really enjoyed the walks in the evening beside the hotel.

My husband and I came here to celebrate a special wedding anniversary. We were given a free upgrade to a spacious and very modern room on the Executive floor. The staff on check in could not have been more helpful. We have a disabled parking badge and were given all the help we needed. The staff in the dining room served copious amounts of excellent coffee for breakfast and the food was very tasty. We realised that the hotel has a view of the Bahai Gardens but trees from our sea view obliterated it. I went up to the tenth floor where there is a spectacular King David lounge overlooking the bay. Again the staff could not have been more helpful. They let me see the view and because it was our anniversary invited my husband to see it too. They even offered to take photos of us with the incredible view as the backdrop. The staff in this hotel cannot be praised highly enough. They have made such a difference to our stay, and to our celebration. Thank you Dan!

A co-worker and I recently stayed at the Dan Carmel and we both really enjoyed our stay. It is in a great location and many restaurants are in walking distance. I will say the outside made me a little nervous when we first pulled up as the hotel looked older, but the rooms were all super up to date and the staff was awesome. Also, the rooms have a great view. I was on the Mediterranean side and my friend was on the other side - both views were great (mine was a little better :) ). We only had breakfast at the hotel and it was very good. The staff did a great job - coffee never ran dry and everyone was super friendly. The food was really good. We hope to be back one day if our business leads us to Haifa.

We spent 3 days there and that was already enough. Rooms were nice, big and clean. Outdoor pool also a plus. The service at the desk was quiet bothered by small feedback we had about food service spilling an iced coffee over us and the food in general. Just eat outside somewhere else, the quality is bad. For 5 stars you'd expect much more overall...

We really love this hotel but it seem the maintenance isn't that good... The curtain was torn, the Aircon LCD was wiped, the bathroom I found body knife plastic cover ....the first evening dinner was very disappointing... selection was not that big...and the breakfast was too... All this little things give bad impression and it makes you wonder how clean the room is.... I would expect much more from this 5 star hotel as we know it from previous visits.... The service was great...the stuff are doing very good job for things you need or ask from them...

Stayed there for 41 days in one of their suites and I was very comfortable. Friendly staff, excellent buffet style breakfast with many choices for all tastes, very clean hotel and spectacular view of Haifa from their business lounge. If you are traveling to Haifa-Israel, I highly recommend this hotel. A bit pricey on certain things such as lunch or dinner buffet, dry cleaning services, and small parking space and fees. It would have been nice if swimming pool was open.

It is an amazing hotel and the rooms are gorgeous! I met a waitress Laura she speaks Spanish and teach me A lot I love the service there and I hope all the waitress are like Laura! The food is good and they are always there trying to give you a good experience!

View is amazing. Breakfast is ok, very corporate-like, which makes sense because it's a Dan hotel. They will charge Israelis VAT even if they are with a tourist who is the person paying for the room. That's illegal, to charge a tourist VAT which added a hassle claiming it back at the airport.

You’ve read it on other reviews, but I want to reiterate just how good their breakfast buffet is. They spared no expense - really amazing quality and taste of every item! I have not seen another breakfast in the world of this caliber. Also, the staff are great. Very welcoming and we got the overall impression of them being happy to have us here. Would happily stay here again.

Dirty room, bathroom toilet area dirty with both hair, and dirt on floor. When I opened a closet above the mini bar, thinking it was a refrigerator, it was layered in dust. It turned out to be an electrical panel, and should have been locked. Dirt on carpet. Housekeeping did come up immediately, and cleaned, but that certainty didn’t ease my mind about their standards, especially in the continued time of COVID. Worn hotel-not worthy of “deluxe” rating.

We had an amazing time at the hotel! The location is great, amazing view all over Haifa’s port. The staff is great, the room and the hotel facility is great, clean and satisfying, food is excellent and staff is very nice and welcoming. This is our second vacation at Dan Hotels and it is by far the best hotel brand we’ve visited. Thank you from all our family!

The entire staff was friendly and prompt with their service and hospitality. From the pleasant & professional reception, the rich meals fresh salads and delicious meats , the extraordinary cleanliness in the rooms and the wonderful staff at the pool (Schuster is the name I believe ) who did all they could to make our stay pleasant all tog made our vacation a dream come true! There is no doubt that we will be back soon - thanks again to all the staff!

Dined in lounge restaurant and our server, Laura, was outstanding! Kind, courteous, friendly and has an infectious smile. Food was terrific and much better than buffet meal service.

Our stay was wonderful. We had had a tumultuous day and called the Dan Carmel late in the evening to see if they had availability for our family of five. They were so kind and accommodating. We arrived well after 10:00 pm and were settled quickly. The hotel is easy to find and parking is convenient. The rooms are a good size, the bathrooms are spacious and clean. We enjoyed our breakfasts in the restaurant. The buffet is extensive and quite tasty. The staff is terrific and attentive, especially our server, Laura. The pool is AMAZING and the perfect way to spend the afternoon after a very hot tour of Haifa.

Amir in the dining hall arranged a last minute dinner for 20 for us and it was amazing. He was concerned with every detail. Everyone was thrilled. During the breakfast hours , he didn’t stop for a minute. The hotel is very fortunate to have him as a manager. I wish we could steal him away for our business

The hotel is really comfortable and beautiful. With a beautiful garden and view. The staff are very attentive and kind, specially Yuval and Laura, who were very helpful and polite at all times. I will definitely come back, and I hope to see them again.

While I felt the lobby furniture could be updated, the hotel itself was gorgeous. The rooms were roomy clean and well furnished. The Staff stood ready and more than willing to help in all capacities, for instance, by mistake my wife’s insulin was frozen in error and therefore ruined the hotel manager’s immediately drove us to the emergency room of a nearby hospital where they had Dr’s waiting for us and issued an RX for the complete replacement of the insulin. The next 3 days the managers and staff scurried to one pharmacy after the other to replace each pen of insulin, 17 in all. The Dax Carmel completely paid for this replacement. Upon checking out of the hotel 10 days later they prepared a box breakfast for both my wife and I to eat on the road to Tel Aviv at 6:00AM. It didn’t end there in the confusion of getting taking to the AP my wife forgot her cell phone in the taxi van, I immediately called the Dan Carmel and had the driver turn the van around and come back to the AP to deliver my wife’s forgotten phone to us. This is a Hotel and Staff beyond words. Thank you Dan Carmel!!!❤️❤️❤️

We arrived at the hotel and were told that we have a “deluxe” room with a panoramic view of Haifa and the waterfront …we got to the room and it clearly wasn’t a “deluxe” room so I called the front desk and was told that the basic room is called “deluxe.” Is that like calling my old Ford a Rolls Royce? Oh and as far the view is concerned ..there is NO view from room 312 as the trees block the view .I offered to pay for an upgrade and was told there was non. Now mind you our family reserved 8 rooms .One of which still had the stains of intimacy on the sheets .Another family member on the 2nd floor was awakened in the night by an altercation that required the staff to quell and another family member had their sleep disturbed by an inebriated individual who thought that it was their room. Unfortunately this site doesn’t allow for the download of images or i would share the nonview and the sloppy way the room was cleaned ((no vacuuming ) ,mediocre food and a staff that can use additional training . I wanted to like this hotel but alas ……

We ware on a family trip for the weekend, and while we check-in we got a warm welcome from the crew. In exceptional note we got a personal care from Mr. Jonathan Abokahart the manager, who took care of our needs throughout our stay in an outstanding way which contributed to our stay being enjoyable and satisfying. While we visited in the King David business lounge we got a pleasant service from Miss Yuval.

Have been part of a conference at the Dan Carmel hotel in Haifa this week. I want to commend the hotel staff for their constant help and and support. They have really made things very smooth for us with a constant yes to our needs and requests. And this applies to the front desk / reception staff as well food and beverages and just everyone! First of all the service was amazing the staff are very professional. The food is great The location and the view are amazing. The room very clean and very nice. Highly recommended to stay in this hotel. The price is decent for the service and for the entire package.
