Oh man. Where to start? Picked this place at random on the second day of our trip. Expected a normal coffee shop with some sweet. Had the best muffin I ever tasted and my wife had a good scone. Delicious potatoes and tacos and a chicken sandwich. Very vibrant inside. Good atmosphere. And the servers were very cute and friendly. Probably will come another time before going home and next time I'm in the city.

Absolutely nothing bad to say. I ate here on the last day of my stay in Halifax and I don't regret it. My waitress was polite. The food was well presented and very tasty. I found it a little salty but I'm sensitive to the taste of sodium so I imagine most people wouldn't have this issue. I loved the atmosphere of the restaurant.

Constantly surprised at not only how good, but how creative the food can be. Roasted Potatoes with Parmesan and Mint? Yup amazing, Pistachio Sweet and Savory Donuts? Yup again. Simply put, Bliss can't seem to miss the mark with anything, atmosphere is great, staff are super friendly and always go out of their way to make sure you're enjoying your time there. Lastly I'd like to emphasize again how absolutely ridiculously delicious and consistent the food is. I've now been multiple times, tried just about the whole menu and there's not one single dish that isn't phenomenal. There are new pastries constantly and every single time they are a hit. For the sake of my cholesterol and attempts to lower my sugar consumption, Bliss is making life very hard, yet extremely enjoyable. Keep it up! PS - My "custom" breakfast of a garlic parmesan focaccia with eggs and roasted potatoes was the best thing I've eaten to start my day in years.

I like this cafe/restaurant. The vibe is chill. Staff is super nice and professional. Menu has many choices. I ordered the strawberry white chocolate latte, lime pop tart and berry smoothie which were all good. I also tried their pistachio donut which was by far my favourite donut in Halifax. But this place was very crowded though and I couldn’t relax while eating.

I was seated pretty quickly in this busy, light-filled restaurant. With many interesting items on their menu, I finally settled on a hot chai tea and a berries + cream. Both were beautifully presented, and delicious. I have a couple more days here in Halifax, so I’ll be back!

My girl and I had brunch at Bliss Caffeine Bar on Sunday and I am so happy we did. (Her idea; she’s a genius.) It was one of the best brunches I’ve ever had. We both ordered the Bliss Brekkie (pretty sure that’s right) and every element was perfect. The Brother’s bacon was Smokey, the focaccia was awesome, the Ratinaud sausage was my favourite part of the dish; but everything on the plate was delicious and cooked to perfection. (Salad wasn’t cooked but it was dressed just right.) The drinks were also fantastic and I remember why I love mimosas so much with brunch. Our waitress was great and the service was exceptional. We’ll be frequenting this place for brunch as often as possible. Looking forward to our next visit. ❤️

Came here for breakfast. The menu is small, but has some good options. Interior design is very modern. My waffles were good, the chicken burger was a bit on the sweet side for a savory dish. That being said: the service was what really rubbed us the wrong way. Our server was nice enough, but somewhere along the line we were clearly forgotten. Everybody seemed to get their food before us. People that came in 15 minutes after us, had their food first. I tried to make eye contact with our server, but to no avail. Finally after what seemed like an eternity we got served our food with no explanation or apology. When paying we did give a 10% tip - not more, since the service did not warrant it - and the lady who took the payment (not our server) was clearly not happy about it. Just said "ok" (no "thank you" or "have a nice day", nothing) and brought back the change and put it on the table before us without a word. If waiting forever did not already spoil our morning, this rude and classless behaviour certainly did. Honestly, other people would have made a stink about being forgotten and not even receiving an apology. We said nothing and even tipped and were treated so rudely and disrespectfully, I'm still livid about it a week later. Update in response to the owner: thanks for your reply. I'm aware that different dishes take different amounts of time to cook. But since we saw other tables that came in after us, get each of our dishes, but before us, I couldn't help but assume our order got missed along the line. Also, it wasn't so much the wait, but the interaction at the end, that left a bad impression. If the person that took payment was not happy with the tip, she could have inquired if everything was okay, instead of passive agressively bringing back our change. Since she left the table immediately afterwards, there was also no way of saying anything to her, so we just left the money. Even if this person had no way of knowing we were not happy, is a 10% tip not good enough? She could have just said "thank you" and kept it moving, instead of displaying her dissatisfaction in such a blatant manner.

Ran in here for breakfast on a raining morning, we were greeted by a friendly young lady, apologies we didn’t catch your name, she let us know everything we needed to and was attentive checking in on us as we looked over the menu and whilst eating. My husband and I went for Drip Coffee with Xtra Caffeine, Strawberries & Cream Waffles + Side Bacon and the Bliss Brekkie… everything was delicious and a nice portion size, all cooked well, good produce used and presentation was great too. The only downside is the very hard seating… Overall a really good experience.

Had a delicious brunch with a friend at Bliss. The service was great and the waitresses were very sweet and understanding when my friend was late. I ordered the fried chicken sandwich with potatoes. Great savoury dish if you want to experience the full range that Bliss can offer. My friend ordered the bliss brekkie and highly enjoyed the potatoes as well. We both had sparking strawberry lemonades. Though not extremely bubbly, they were nice. Hope to come back again next time I’m having a brunch date!

My new favourite brunch spot in Hali! The food is delicious and fresh and the decor is bright and cheery. Service was impeccable and the breakfast tacos were a hit for our whole table. Be sure to check this place out whenever you visit. Gets a 10/10 from me!

Great breakfast place, we came here to have breakfast on our first day in Halifax and fell in love with the focaccia! Such an interesting and thoughtful combinations. They also rotate daily. We came back the next day to try other things from the menu. I had a mango smoothie bowl and my other half ended ordering the focaccia again. Highly recommended!

Bliss is definitely one of my favourite spots to go in downtown Halifax whether it’s for a coffee on the go, or to sit down for a meal/brunch or get some work done with a colleague! Their food is incredible - the fried chicken sandwich is a must if you haven’t tried it yet☺️ everytime I go to bliss it is nothing short of an incredible experience form the food, atmosphere and overall vibes of the restaurant. Employees are always so welcoming and kind and put the needs of customers at the forefront of their interactions, thank you Bliss for continuing to be an incredible small business in downtown Halifax ( also if you haven’t had some of their desserts/pastries… what are you doing?!) check them out! 😇🍰

Visiting from Toronto, we stopped in for Sunday brunch and the food and service is unmatched. Jenna and her team treat the guests to the best experience Halifax has to offer. The charcuterie salad? Get it. The chicken friend sandwich? Get it. The ceasar and brunchtini? Get both. You will not be disappointed. Details are not missed from the food to the service. We can’t wait to come back!

I have dined at Bliss on many occasions. It is my favourite brunch/lunch restaurant in Halifax. The food is amazing; I love the chicken fried sandwich. Also love the pastries too if you just want something quick. To be honest everything I have had is fantastic! Service is also wonderful- staff are friendly and knowledgeable. Highly recommended Bliss.

A personal favourite brunch of mine. The Bliss Brekkie is everything one could ask for in a delicious brunch plate. The ratinaud sausage, roasted potatoes, and the house focaccia toast are highlights for sure. The staff are friendly and the atmosphere is fun. Highly recommend!

Everything was delicious! It was busy and I could tell why. We had a great brunch and great service. I love that there is to go pastries because we were all so full after eating. This is also probably the best iced coffee I’ve ever had in Halifax (and I go out for coffee a lot because I’m addicted!)

Highly recommend this downtown gem! Lovely staff and the atmosphere/decor is really relaxed and welcoming. We picked up some strawberry scones recently and they were incredible - looking forward to checking out brunch here.

I have a Panzanella for lunch. The vegetables are fresh. This makes you feel refreshed in a hot summer. The attendants are very polite and attentive. The place is very clean. My relatives and friends are also affirmative on the quality of the food. Well done. No wonder why this is a place shortlisted by my niece.

Always a fan of their baked goods (pop tarts and scones are always my favourite!) I’m not always a huge fan of the coffee, the cappuccino can be quite bitter, I have better results with their flat white! Excellent fried chicken sandwich, good portion of chicken and lots of sauce and cheese! I’m not sure if I love the bun choice, it doesn’t seem to hold up well, and it has a big amount of bread in the centre. Over all still love the sandwich, and everyone is very friendly!

🫤 Overall experience was not pleasant. This was recommended by my friend, so we thought to give it a try. Bartenders was fantastic, very professional and helpful all around, however, the waitress on the other side was completely different. Not only she forget to check on our table for about 35 minutes...
