Wanted to give zero stars but google doesn't allow. Though the place is nice, the bartender (tall bald guy with long beard referred himself as Teddy) was too harsh and rude with us. They dont even help you finding a table. Google says the bar is open till 1 but he literally pushed us out irrespective of whether you have food or drinks still left out. Every single person who visits pays (with tips) but are treated very badly ! Hire bartenders who knows how to respect your customers! Bartender said he doesn't care about what google says about timing and reviews.

I have been to HFX sport bar so many times. But this time was so disappointed and after I had the worst and horrible experience, I decided that I will never go there anymore. 1) When I and my friends sat down, the table was still very dirty. 2) After the waitress severed the water and drinks. We waited around 20 MINS to place the food order. During that time, the waitress took an order for a table which came later than us. 3) My friend asked for a fork, and the waitress pass through us couple times, and gave us NOTHING! 4) I was chewing a mussel, and I felt something very hard in my mouth. When I spit it out. It is a small piece of BROKEN GLASS!! Then we told the waitress. At the beginning, she said she doesn’t know what it is. Then I told her it is a glass. She took over the glass and said she would ask the kitchen. When she came back. She held a tray of drinks for another table and started to take an order for them. After that she walked away again! In my opinion, she should prioritize our case by giving us an explanation and apology. Obviously she DID NOT take it serious. 5) And I knew she was ignoring us again. So I took that dish and walked to the front desk and asked other server that I would like to speak to the manager directly. The waitress came over and said she was so busy and she was going to talk to us something like that. I said I would like to talk to your manger. I think she is not qualified to be a waitress. She doesn’t listen to her customers’ requests and doesn’t have any problem sorting skill. 6) The explanation of the manager: “we are not allow glass in the kitchen. We don’t know where that small piece of glass is coming from. We need to talk to our supplier. And I will take off this dish from you bill.” Even I doubt that, because they do use the glass cup as a container of beer. But I don’t want to argue about that. So I expressed what we need is their attitude. A sincere apology. The manager did said sorry to us. To sum up, If after you are watching this comment and still decide to go to HFX sport bar, good luck.

Visited for the first time today for football. Clean place with a pile of TV’s, which is all a sports fan needs. I tried the hot wings (awesome), done in a rice breading I assume as they were airy and crunchy with a solid dousing of hot sauce! I also tried the donair egg rolls and enjoyed them as well. I’m not a drinker so I can’t offer feedback in that department but all who were drinking seemed happy! All staff were great right from the time I walked in up until my departure and my server was polite and friendly. They also have NLC terminal so you can buy your proline and bet on the games.

Spent an evening watching the World Juniors, was great. Super impressed with their chicken wings, in my opinion their 1 lb was more than 1 lb, or all the other downtown pubs are less than 1 lb. Waitress was super nice as well. Will definately go again.

I gave a 3 because of the server. We were standing at an empty table for a few minutes and several times she passed us until we called out to her. The table was cleared and cleaned we ordered(to which she wasn't sure of what juices they had). Food was tasty as usual and it was wings night and truly the chefs never disappoint. However, the server towards the end of the service it's obvious she was overwhelmed and we were waiting for our bill to which she kept passing our table going to other tables close by and not saying anything to us. I eventually called out to her whilst she was once again passing by and she rolled her eyes and then gave the fake customer service smile; being in the customer service industry i chose to leave it alone as it's very difficult these days but had to mention. Perhaps utilize the bar upstairs so that it'd make it a tad bit easier on the servers as they have to go up and down the stairs. I will always return but expect the service to match up with the food and the institution.

Mouse in the house! Was nibbling at a chicken wing on the ground for the majority of our dinner. Notified both server and manager on shift, both ladies seemed unbothered! Not a typical sight in restaurants out west, but I was assured this is normal in Halifax? Haha I don’t know about that…

This is a place that shows various sports broadcasts as a sports bar. If you order one wing every Thursday for Wing Day, one wing is free. The advantage is that you can watch sports comfortably with beer. What was especially impressive was that there are generations of TVs in the bathroom, so you can watch TV while doing your business. I was doing business while watching golf, but I couldn't see all of it because there was a person waiting behind me.

While on vacation, my wife and I were looking for a place to watch an NFL game on Sunday afternoon. This was the spot! There is an amazing volume of TV's and games. Their beer selection was strong but wine was minimal. We were pleasantly surprised the the quality and flavour of the house wings - excellent! This explains why so many plates of them were in the hands of servers. Service as OK but it was a busy place on Sunday.

We ordered nachos paid for extra cheese this is what was brought to our table. We had to pick through the chips which were extremely overseasoned to find any chip with cheese or other topings. Probably the worst nachos I've had at a restaurant. On the plus side my husband had a burger and said it was good but not worth the price. Highly overpriced for quality of food.

Literally the coolest sports bar atmosphere in Halifax. Inside looks incredibly posh and Thursday wing night is a must! The waitresses are second to none. The wings are massive. The service is fast and attentive, but not annoyingly so. We always get the buffalo wings but my friends strongly suggest the bacon barbecue!! Give it a try! You won't be disappointed !

Order curry chicken and chicken still cold.. come to a ufc event and it’s not on tv and the service is absolute trash less then 20 people here and over a hour to take food order

Had wings which were quite good. Would recommend for a nice place to hang out. Only thing to improve, would be to offer fountain drinks with free refills as $4.00 for a non refillable soda pop is expensive.

The waitress took away my drink (which was full) while I was away from the table for 5 minutes. I approached her about it and she gave me a hard time, stating she thought I’d left. The waitress could have simply acknowledged that she made a mistake and given me another drink. It was extremely ridiculous to have to go speak to her supervisor to get them to give me another drink. The supervisor was as terrible as the waitress, she was extremely rude, gave me attitude and made me feel bad for even asking. Will never be returning.

Had a great time watching Sunday night football! Screens are huge and sound is loud (don’t go there if you want to have an intimate conversation). Nachos were exceptional—came to the table hot, with lots of cheese. Buffalo chicken flatbread was excellent. Recommend!

Food was delicious. Wings were far spicier than I expected and they replaced them with another round of wings on the house. Service was impeccable and everyone was very kind. Environment was great and every game was available to watch. Will be back for sure. Mussels were a must, especially the coconut curry mussels.

Except for the wings, bad food and watered down cider...who waters down cider !?! Not recommended

So much potential but they haven't fixed their big screen in over a year and keep their volume way to low for big events. Ud think for a bar mainly made for big events and the fact that 90% of the bar watches the big screen that they'd fix their top left corner so you can enjoy a quality picture.. big bummer.

Loads of TV screens and seating options. They were accommodating to change the screens if possible. The staff were friendly and prompt without being overbearing. We didn't feel rushed out like other places. We only had drinks but the food looked good.

Always knew it was the spot with the most screens in the city and they sure live up to that! Great spot for everywhere to get some drinks, food, and a good seat to watch the World Juniors (they were in town at the time) or any major sporting event! Solid nachos and drink prices were reasonable.

I will give this bar four starts because the number of tv's and setup is awesome. Our server was attentive and efficient. We were there during the Bills/Dolphins game and the bar was dead. The beers were cold, but the food was definately sub par. We had some wings and nachos. These are sports bar staples and they quite frankly sucked. We ate them because we had a few beers and needed food to absorb the alcohol. I really felt like the wings were from Pintys and something I could make at home. The nachos were even worse. I would return because it is a good spot to catch a game, but I would be reluctant to order food again.

Visited with some friends during the World Juniors... They were super busy. But the service was great and the reduced menue during the tournament was good. Wing Night was terrific. Great atmosphere!

Had a table reserved just in case the night of the parade of lights. Atmosphere is what you would expect from a sports bar... With a touch of lady flare. Comfy booth, very clean, awesome staff... One even speaks Mandarin as another language😉, food was delicious and generous portions. Price was also on par with other restaurants. I would definitely go back😊

For a city known as being friendly one would assume they could make friends at a sports bar! Not here! Arrived at a time where lots of tables were open, sign said please be seated. Tried to sit at a table in the bar area to be told as we are only a group of two we could not sit where we had chosen which was a bar table for 6. Relegated to the back of the bar. When we left an hour or so later to catch a live sporting event all those tables were still open except for the one we had originally tried to sit at, a group of three was seated there… if we had been allowed to sit there and if the place ever got busy we would have gladly invited strangers to the table, thereby making new friends. Kudos to Jordan (sp) our waitress she was new and had the one of the busiest areas and did a great job!

Went here for the first time for the wings. Wings were tasty, service was good and prices were really good too. My only reason I gave a 4 is that I feel that since it’s such a big place that they should have to seat you since when we sat at our table the waitress didn’t see us for a good few minutes. Will be back for more wings

I've seen a lot of poor reviews here, saying the food was great but it was bad service, SO, I'm doing the opposite to balance it out. It was maybe the best wings I've ever had, but terribly bad service. My waitress acknowledged the long wait times and explained she was busy doing some personal banking as a reason for the long waits. Great food, but awful waitress. I'm torn on this rating, but again must acknowledge the exceptional food. I'll never be back.

Mother clicker burger was terrible. Was definetly frozen at some point. The draft selection was ok however they must need to service their taps, beer tasted terrible. Overall not great considering there is so much competition. 100 feet in either direction there is much better food and drink :(

Decent place if you want to watch a game, their screens are great and good for groups. Honestly im not a fan of their food, wings are alright, i went for burger week and burger was also average.

Was in last week to watch Thursday Night Football and have some wings, as I have been many times before. When my party sat down we played a few hands of Rummy as we often do while waiting for drinks and food. The server came by and before taking our orders and told we weren't allowed to do that due to "the liquor inspector" not allowing "games of any kind". I immediately questioned this, and proceeded to contact the liquor inspector, who verified this was false. I reached out to the bar about this and haven't heard back. Won't return until I hear a decent explanation for why this happened. Not cool to misrepresent the law.

October 13th, 2016 ONE OF THE BEST WINGS! THURSDAY WINGS SPECIAL WILL COST $8 A POUND (12 wings a pound) cost per wing is approximately $0.66 no obligation of buying a drink with it. Places that will charge $0.50 per wing will require you to buy a drink that will cost you $2 or more which will make the cost per wing pretty similar to HFX except HFX wings r big. I got a best customer service. She came and introduced her self. Got us menus followed by water. Then asked if we need help with menu - took the order. She was very patient n helpful. She made suggestions that helped. The service was fast! Mind you the place is not overly crowded. The food quality is great. They are not greasy. You have an option to have sauce on side or on the wings. Decent amount of sauce options. The Buffalo chicken Flat bread is delicious too. This will be my go to place for wings. Will keep updating.

Amazing wings, probably the best wings I've had in Halifax. The drinks are great, the atmosphere is buzzing and I always have a great time with my friends there! The staff are really nice and friendly. However it can be a little slow on Thursdays as there tends to be lots of people there, but it's absolutely worth it. There's lots of options in terms of sports to watch from and they run the major games as well, I usually come here to watch soccer and it's awesome! Quality spot, I highly recommend!

🫤 Overall experience was not pleasant. This was recommended by my friend, so we thought to give it a try. Bartenders was fantastic, very professional and helpful all around, however, the waitress on the other side was completely different. Not only she forget to check on our table for about 35 minutes...
