Dec 2018 Gathering of old friends and good times. Service was great, and the food was delicious. Sept 2018 Back again, and this time had the chowder. Really small for a bowl and barely had any seafood in it. Tea biscuit was the best part. Next time I will try the boneless chicken wings like my friends. Fish cakes looked good, but didn't get a report on how good they were. June 2018 Have been here multiple times. The food is good and the service is good. They are good for breakfast, and food portions are good as well. The bathroom has literally the coldest, ice-freezing water I've ever experienced. And it never warms up, so if you want to wash your hands, be prepared for them needing mittens for about ten minutes after, even in the summer time.

The Lower Deck Clayton Park is a such a great spot for brunch, lunch, supper or snacks! Friendly staff, great food, musical entertainment, and more. Brunch on the weekends is fantastic. Make sure to get one of their freshly made, warm buttermilk biscuits - they keep us coming back regularly from Dartmouth!

Came here on Canada Day for a late night meal and drinks with friends. Our server informed us that the kitchen was closing in 10 minutes so we ordered right away. The vegetable burger(s) were great as per my friends along with the sweet potato fries which were quite ‘sweet’. The stir fry looked great but my friend mentioned the sauce was a bit too much and overpowered the taste and crunchiness of the vegetables. The sauce itself had a sweet taste so it was a bit sweeter than expected. I had their Pale Ale Battered Fish & Chips. They were fine but not the memorable kind unfortunately for me.(I love fish and chips). The only difference was the batter which definitely had a nice texture to it. Fries/chips were nothing special. The drinks were great and our server(who also made our drinks) was so kind and helpful. We had a great time and relaxing time thanks to her prompt service and also the fact, there wasn’t a crowd at the time. All in all, not perfect but still a decent option to have a good meal and relax.

Not the best experience ever. Went in on Canada day. Cocktails were very limited but interesting mix with monster energy drink. Menu was very mediocre. Ordered the lower deck burger and nachos with jalapeños. The burger didn’t come with bacon jam(which nobody told us they were out of) and nachos didn’t come with jalapeños(which they got for us after). Didn’t have a very good experience but can understand it was busy on Canada day. Might give it another try. Prices were economical for the spot. Great patio spot.

Stopped in for one drink. It was pretty empty when we were there. It was about 8:00 on a Saturday night. The beer was cold, the service was friendly and the live music was great if a little somber.

Service from Brandon was excellent. Food was excellent. Two of us, we each had a wrap, one crispy chicken Caesar wrap, one beef Reuben wrap. The lunch specials are highly recommended, really good value.

Always a great time here, went for Trivia with friends , nachos are always a must and are always delicious, this time they were a little colder then normal and felt like they waited for the rest of the food to be ready to come out. Still would def recommend stopping by here

Wings were good, and quick to order. Went for wing night and was a little disappointed to find out it was the last one for a while. Staff friendly. Stopped again a few weeks later. The wing night was indeed over. I got the fish and chips. Fish prices were really good sized with a nice batter. A little greasy, which I expect with fried fish, but my fries underneath were still fairly crispy and there was very little oil on my plate. Would order again. Bartender was really friendly, not just with myself, but also with a large group that seemed a little disorganized figuring out how big their party was going to be.

Terrible service at the table, from the moment you arrive until you leave. They throw you the menu, the drinks, the food, that was too rude . If they don't like serving customers, why do they work in customer service? be consistent lower deck clayton park. Nice atmosphere, very good music. only improve your waiters, scare away customers or at least international customers.

We had so much fun at Fleetwood Mac concert! Thank you so much to The Lower Deck Bar Team and for the amazing Band! We will be back for sure next time! Cheers Murilo Torres!

Band too far away. Sound system socks. Tickets printed late. Poor sight lines. Too crowded to even walk between tables. Too much talking/noise. Overall, it was a bad experience. Wouldn't recommend anyone go to actually listen or see a band.

Fabulous lunch today. I wish I could remember our waitresses name but she was just absolutely perfect. Kind, happy, helpful. I tasted both the Caesar and Spinach salads and both were delish!!

DEFINITELY ONE OF THE BEST NACHOS IN HALIFAX, hands down!!!!! My husband and I absolutely love nachos and have tried many different restaurant Nachos over many years. Clayton Park Lower Deck makes expectational nachos with Pulled Pork; you can absolutely taste the BBQ pork like it just came off of a rib bone. The carmelized onions are a brilliant additive to the plate, along with the other veg. Perhaps if when you place an order the toppings will not be as much since we had ordered and paided for our extra toppings on our nachos like shown in the picture. We ordered take out and we're extremely pleased with our takeout order on the few occasions we had ordered from this location.

It's probably just not my thing... If you're looking for a hang out with pub food, then you may like it here. They advertise life music on Fridays.... And they do have a disco ball! 😁

Pros: - the service is great and the staff are very friendly - they usually have a decent number of beers on tap and cocktails are reasonably priced - the hours tend to be more extensive than most other restaurants at the moment. Middle of the line: - food is just so-so; not bad but definitely nothing memorable. Cons: - the live entertainment is always far too loud. - this would depend on the person, but I've read some other comments for this business and will say that if you're looking for a high-end steakhouse experience, you don't come to a bar & grill. The atmosphere is very "old sea captain," there isn't restroom towel and tip service, and I wouldn't recommend wearing your Sunday best here. Summary: This is a very laidback spot to come to for a beer and burger (expect country and Celtic music in the background) but don't anticipate a culinary awakening.

Worst experience ever! The food was great. Thanks to the kitchen staff for that but the service was disgusting and disappointing.

Went in on a night there were 1/2 appetizers. Wings didn't count in the deal and they didn't have nachos or mussels. Disappointing. Food was meh - typical of a bar. Service was good though

The Jagar Schnitzel was terrible. The pasta that came with it was the only thing that wasn't too bad. The garlic shrimp was good but the rice was very bad. We couldn't finish our meals. We only ate the shrimp and the vegetables.

We had our company Christmas party here and we had fantastic service and the food was awesome!! I recommend this place for a drink, food and even a couple of spins on the VLTs

I have no idea why there's good reviews on here. The staff is quite friendly but my buddies and I were in the neighbourhood and decided to try it for the first time. Gross is an understatement. One of those places that feels like there's an layer of old beer and slime you could scrape off the entire interior. The place is a potential gold mine with the location and staff but the smell punches you in the face the moment you walk in the door.

It was our first time here. The service was friendly. The food was so-so. My chicken was under-cooked, but they refunded a drink. The price was a little steep. They had some live entertainment which is good, but felt it was a little loud for 5pm.

🫤 Overall experience was not pleasant. This was recommended by my friend, so we thought to give it a try. Bartenders was fantastic, very professional and helpful all around, however, the waitress on the other side was completely different. Not only she forget to check on our table for about 35 minutes...
