Went in for some drinks and decided to get a pitcher ($15 on the menu) rather than $7.50 , I believe, for a glass. The $15 was definitely the selling point since it was more bang for the buck. Once the bill came it was $17.25, which was obviously surprising. I pointed out to the waiter what the menu said and he said the menu changed 2 weeks ago but it was not correctly updated on the menu. He then said he could ask his manager, but "they probably won't do anything about it". You can't deceive your customers with pricing and expect them to pay more when the bill comes. Regardless, my partner did not want to make a fuss so he paid and left. Otherwise, the service and food was good... but again, very poor way of handling this!

This place was recommended as a decent place for a reasonable price. That is the only reason I am giving 2 stars. From the moment we arrived the music was too loud and we could barely even speak to each other. We sat and waited for someone to serve us after being told to sit anywhere. Eventually we had a menu and ordered water and our meal. A salad and a burger will not usually take too long. My wife mentioned we may not be a priority because we were not drinking. When our food arrived it was decent. The burger was good and my wife's salad looked good. She is on a restrictive diet and can only eat small portions, so was not able to eat more than 1/3 of her bowl. I asked for a to-go container and a bill. The waitress said no problem. She came back with the bill and debit machine. I again asked her about the to-go container and she said they don't do that anymore. This is after I paid and tipped her fairly well considering the service. I'm pretty sure this place offers take out, so I don't understand. All the waitress could offer was an apology. Was the food good? It was decent. Will I go back? NO! Would I recommend it to others? NO!

We don't know what purpose this bar serves. The drinks listed were unavailable. The food was bad. The service was lazy. For our group of 7, every single meal had mistakes. We didn't have time to ask them to be fixed at the restaurant because we had a limited time to eat and the service was slow enough as it was. Waitress accused one of us of dining and dashing because she forgot his bill. We paid for his food explaining that we were now all late and he had to run. There are so many better restaurants and bars on this street. Skip the Roxbury.

Great server, great food, amazing drinks. The amount we ate and drank for 100$ was amazing. Fast and friendly. Would recommend 100%

Only ok. Not great if you have any eating or food restrictions you need to consider. We were told about this place from some other visitors to the city, as the idea of finding an inexpensive supper was appealing after a full day of expensive tourist-ing. When we arrived we were able to sit on the patio which was lovely. We had a look at the menu, as I am limited in what I am able to eat as I am 3 months post op from a surgery that effects the kinds and quantities of food I can eat in a sitting. I was able to find one thing - a salad - that was suitable on the menu. I ordered it with the plan to take what I didn't finish home (as I can only eat small amounts at a time). There was nothing on the menu to indicate that this would be an issue, however when we asked for a takeout container at the end of the meal, we were told that they don't allow that anymore. I was only able to eat about 1/3 of my salad, and had to leave the rest there. The good news is that it wasn't crazy expensive ($6.95 + around $3 for added chicken). It was just disappointing that I couldn't bring the rest of my paid-for food with me for later. My husband was upset on my behalf, as he knows how difficult it can be for me to find things when we go out. His burger was good (especially for the price), and would have likely become a regular customer, while he's working in town, but he was put off on how there was an issue in bringing home food that was paid for. If this was a buffet, or all-you-can-eat place, of course having a take out container for leftovers isn't an option. They also make that clear when you eat at those types of places. But when you fully pay for a single meal, including the extra for add-ons, you should be able to take it home with you, or at the VERY least, make it clear (on the menu, posted somewhere in the restaurant, etc.) that take out containers are not provided.

Awesome place to munch. Proper size meals with normal prices. Gluten free options for my kid is huge in my book.

Amazing place to have a few drinks and food with your friends, great downtown location with plenty of signage. I can't stress this enough but there are amazing prices on EVERYTHING. 6 bucks for wings 10 bucks a burger just to name a few. Great mixture of drinks. Sadly no Burt Reynolds shot at the time but you can deal without it. Atmosphere was great t.vs places in great spots showing sports as well.

Very hip restaurant. All entres are 6 dollars and the food was great. Portions are smaller but we all left full and very happy. Highly.recommended when in Halifax.

Went here last night for some labor day fun. Wait time for drinks was a little long, but it was worth it. Great prices compared to other places. Some staff was a little rude, but its whatever. Music was pretty good.

Haven't seen such an establishment that absolutely despises and hates colored people. Extremely racist place I have ever been to. Unsafe for racial minorities.

If you are brown or black, prepare to be treated like slav'es straight up. There's better clubs like Pacifico and Lower Deck that's welcoming and hospitable. Awaiting the day the Dome Establishment mur'ders some poor Indian guy for sh'its and giggles. They're itching for it...

Dive bar is the best way to describe this place. Everything was sticky, the waiter didn’t seem like he wanted to be there at all, the drinks were not good at all. I remember going here a few years ago and loving it but it’s gotten sloppy.

If I could leave 0 stars, I would. My husband was not allowed back in for being "too drunk," despite not having drank at all. The bouncer AND the manager denied us entry back in despite having bracelets and having paid cover. I regret spending as much as we did there on drinks. Horrible establishment and unreasonably biased against patrons.

Nice little place to grab a bite to eat but menu options were very limited only about 3 things to choose from. The food was good and not very expensive. Service was also good. The atmosphere is ok, but used to be better when it was Cheers.

We just ate at The Roxbury Urban Dive Bar. When we entered there was 1other person. 2 others came in after us. First - our wait time was way too long. Second - I had to ask for utensils. I was given 2 plastic forks wrapped in one napkin. Unacceptable! Third - we both ordered the Bacon Soda. The burgers were cold and really dry. The fries were cold. Again let me remind you that at this time there were only 5 of us in total in the restaurant, and we were numbers 2 & 3. Always before we go to a restaurant we look at the menu online. It said all food and drinks were $6. The sign outside the restaurant said $6. Our bill said $6.95!!!!!!!! False advertising all the way around. All our server could do was make weak excuses. I know the 'restaurant world' keeps ranting about giving tips. I refuse to give a tip for food that isn't good, plus a server who didn't seem able to answer any questions.

Used to be one of the best bars for cheap and delicious food and drinks. I haven't visited in over 6 months but the difference is insane. The service was abysmal as well as quality of the food when all we ordered were fries that were obviously sitting for a while and were cold when they reached our table. Disappointing especially now that it's connected to the Dome the quality has severely decreased.

we were told to get out by staff because we were "under age and non compliant" but when they asked for an id we were more then willing to share it with them. It was before 9 and all we wanted to do was order food that we have heard from some other people was supposed to be some of the best food in the city. will never return to this place and i hope other young people who want a good meal bring their business elsewhere. there are other many good places in our city to eat. Now maybe will i give this place another chance someday. maybe someday but not in the near future thats for sure.

This is a fun and fabulous place. There is a limited menu but it's $6.95 (at the moment) for a decent lunchtime snack. We had the popcorn shrimp tacos and they were great. Friendly staff too.

🫀 Overall experience was not pleasant. This was recommended by my friend, so we thought to give it a try. Bartenders was fantastic, very professional and helpful all around, however, the waitress on the other side was completely different. Not only she forget to check on our table for about 35 minutes...
