We were in the area and looking at dine in options. I found this restaurant and was sold by reviews immediately. I knew I had to try it. Not sure how you can spend there $10-20 per person. You eithereat like a bird or don't like rolls. We ordered bento box, udon, couple rolls and ice-cream with bananas. I wouldn't call it "a lot" of food per person, our bill was a little over $60 per 2 people. The food was very fresh and delicious! Complementary rolls were also VERY good. I wouldn't think of ordering them myself, but the combinations of ingredients make them so yummy, I will order them next time. I would definitely recommend the place!

Wow Wow Wow. This place has pretty good sushis, I still have to look for something similar in Toronto. It just happened to be that we went during happy hour. We had ordered Spicy salmon sushi, Philly sushi, Butterfish sushi, California roll, Wasabi house special and Mount Fuji. I must say none of them disappointed me. I have to mention they were kind enough to give us 4 plates of sushi for "FREE" and they just didn't give us any veg sushi. They had sashimi and salmon belly sushi. Next time I shall order "Salmon belly sushi". Overall I am a Fan of this place. Note: If you are planning to order Mount Fuji, then make sure you take bunch of tissue with you, because that sushi is HUGE. It took 3 bites to finish that. Service: 4.5 Food: 5.0 Decor: 3.0

They stopped dine-in since the pandemic started, heard they resumed dine-in recently and decided to go for lunch. The sushi tastes the same as before, the food is fresh and the service is as good as ever. The two of us ordered three rolls and tempura shrimp. The boss gave us a large plate of sushi for free. In the end, we paid less than $35 and took a large box home. I will be back again.

Our go-to sushi place! Really good pricing, fast service and when they forgot to pack something that was included in my order, they gave me an extra tray of sushi as an apology! They deserve all the credit and support. Couldn’t recommend them enough!

Forever my favourite sushi place. Every time I come home from Quebec I have to make a stop here. Their sushi is always good and they provide extra rolls! It's a great way to try a roll you might not have picked for yourself. Everything I have tried has been delicious 😋

We ordered a bunch... and got a ton! Generous portions. Tasty and fresh rolls. Efficient and courteous staff. Recommend. And if you want a taste sensation, try the monster rolls - you won't be disappointed!

The sushi was pretty tasty and reasonably priced. I ordered 3 rolls during happy hour which is usually 18 pieces. When I received my order there was 30 pieces ! I was quite flattered when they gave my some bonus sushi, will for sure be coming back ;)

I’ve always enjoyed coming to Wasabi House. I’ve been eating here for years and the quality for the price is outstanding. Sure, there are some higher end Sushi places, but you’ll pay easily double. Always fast and always fresh - can’t go wrong when you don’t want to make supper! Note: I would give 4.5 stars if possible due to not being able to dine in anymore (at least at the Quinpool location). Some people won’t care about this, but I miss it.

Sushi rolls were delicious and fresh! Lots of variety to pick from. The staff was pleasant. The squid sashimi was a little slimy. Fantastic value and worth the stop!!

I know Wasabi House is popular because of all the extra rolls they give out but I would honestly rate it on the lower side of average. The restaurant itself is very cramped and has a rather unpleasant odour. Service is okay depending on who the server is, and the food is fine. Not great, not bad, just fine. Prices are good, but I wouldn’t go out of my way for Wasabi House.

I've been to many countries and tried different sushi, but this is just a nightmare. Overcooked rice looks like mashed potatoes. We ordered a lot of rolls but they all tasted the same.

The best value for money sushi in Halifax. The small sushi tray is $45 and feeds FOUR people easily!! Amazing place, hope they re-open their cozy dining room again soon.

Great food and excellent service/staff. The folks here were incredibly friendly, helpful and anticipated our needs. The salmon sashimi was fresh and tender, the mango topping excellent and tuna tataki portions were huge. The spicy rolls were not overly spicy but still tasty. Staff offered us a complimentary roll but we were already stuffed. We cannot wait to come back here - we have been looking for something comparable to what we were accustomed to in Vancouver and so far this is the best in Halifax.

Delicious fresh seafood! Was impressed with how well prepared everything was and how accommodating the staff was! We had plenty to eat and were even surprised with an extra roll on the house! Well done and will definitely be back. 😃. We left with a little to go box of fresh salmon nigiri and salmon roll! Worth the visit!

Amazing Sushi in Halifax, the sashimi felt fresh and the maki rolls were very tasty. I really enjoyed the salmon spicy mayo. Thanks for the rolls we got on the house, we will be definitely coming back when we come back to Halifax!

What does excellent customer service mean? This answer the Wasabi House sure knows. The food was wonderful, the waitress was incredibly friendly and attentive and the cooks were happy to receive customers. It sure makes all the difference.

It's the first time my husband and I order from here and we're just amazed! Even though we had to get it as a takeout, I'm really happy the portions weren't small. We had the Seafood Miso soup, rainbow sushi rolls and other sushi rolls of beef, and they were just delicious! Also, thank you Wasabi House for the extra rolls ♡ This is a must for all sushi lovers out there.

Great staff and the food is spot on! The restaurant is very small and relaxed which is nice as it makes it feel very home-like. Our server was courteous, and friendly, and checked in with us on a steady basis (not too much and not too little). There was never a time when we didn't see a smile from the staff and the food was delicious! I highly recommend!

If you see other reviewers saying that they get free rolls... they're right! I ordered 2 rolls and they gave me 2 extra rolls on the house. This makes Wasabi House a truly reasonably-priced restaurant—perhaps the best one in Halifax!

The service was fantastic and the sushi was delicious. We have food allergies and they were very good about making sure we could eat the sushi. the chef made us extra on the house. It was a great experience.

Currently there is only takeout, so order ahead! The staff were friendly and quick and made us comfortable while we waited for our food. The rolls were not anything exceptional, and the tempura was on the soggy side, but they gave 3 extra types of rolls with our order for waiting. Would recommend if you are looking for cheap, good sushi.
