This is a beautiful example of architectural design and excellence. A pleasure to admire. There are alot of details the more you look. I did not go inside but from the outside it is exciting to have had seen this beautiful building. Night lights add a certain ambiance.

Not religious, but I do appreciate the historic esthetic that this old building inspires. I especially like the contrast between the Gothic look of the cathedral with the modern Maritime center in the background. Many great photo opportunities here.

Amazing Gothic style basilica in Halifax, consecrated in 1899. It's truly inspiring the type of architectural design put into work here, especially compared to others within Canada.

Beautiful cathedral. If you have visited many cathedrals this one may not stand out. It was beautiful but less to see and learn about than other cathedrals I've visited (say, Cusco or Seville).

Stunning. Almost crashed a funeral to get inside but opted not to. Wish the cemetery across the street had been open to walk through!

Cathedral was a nice mass, however it is in bad need of updating, looks like it hasn't seen any work done in many years.

The biggest church in Halifax with a beautiful interior and exterior design. There are regular services held in the church so ne mindful of the processions when you get inside.

I went to Confession here, and do you know what I got in return? A brand new soul. 1 Our Father, 1 Hail Mary, & 1 Glory Be. Not bad, eh? Then I stuck around for the Rosary and Saturday Mass. Talk about a great weekend!!!!

I enjoyed the daily 12:15 mass on Friday. Was nice to see many people taking the time to be with the Lord. Will return. Lovely sermon.

Visit the oldest church in Halifax and the second Catholic Cathedral in Canada! Tours happen daily. Even John Paul II visited this cathedral in 1984.
