Delicious Chinese food! Service is fast and very friendly. My friends and I had been buying good food at Silver Dragon for 6 years now. You should try the food and see how good it is specially how friendly all their staff are. The place is also clean and relaxing.

TERRIBLE! The rice tasted rotten, old and mouldy…I only got 2 pieces of beef in my beef and broccoli, and the broccoli was slimy. You could tell that the vegetables weren’t washed. The chicken balls were cold and also has a bitter taste to it. The egg roll was soggy and cold. Worst Chinese food I’ve ever had in my entire life. I couldn’t even eat it, and my mouth tastes disgusting. Life tip: don’t order from here!

Honestly I hate leaving bad reviews and the people are really nice but the food just simply isn’t good. I spent $16 on a combo and am so disappointed. It didn’t even come with the fortune cookie I look forward to eating at the end. The egg roll was like nothing I’ve ever ate before and was just not good.

Good food! My favorite is the shanghai noddles especially their egg rolls. I havent tasted food whom as good as them. weve tried from diff. Chinese restaurant before. This so far is our favorite. A Must try. So far our fav. Place to order food. You wont dissappoint when it comes to the portion of food. The owner is very nice.

Very okish restaurant. I have ordered vegetarian spring roll and vegetarian Singapore noodles. Honestly they should have mentioned on menu that you will get one spring for $3. It was very oily and sauce serve with roll was stale. Vegetarian Singapore noodles was below the average. They mix some powder in it. After taste was very powdery and weird. I would not recommend this restaurant.

Just had chicken lomein, the portion was perfect. The taste was really good which reminded me of home. Will visit again soon.Highly recommend! 😋😋

Food came within 3 mins of ordering our lunch special. Was a good amount and was very delicious and fresh . Highly recommend this restaurant.

I’ve been eating here since I was a kid in the 80’s! Silver Dragon is a staple of the north end and the last OG. I love the chicken balls and almond guy ding is the best! When other restaurants now give smaller portions since covid inflation, Silver Dragon still gives a huge filling combo :) For the people from Ontario complaining about the “weird” egg rolls, you sound dumb because this is how they’re made in Halifax. Every Chinese-Canadian restaurant in the province makes them this way (meat paste) and we LOVE it. Before you leave a bad review, consider that you don’t have a clue what you’re talking about, this isn’t Scarborough.

We did take out. Was 20 minutes for pick up. Waitress was efficient and friendly. Had a nice decore. Food was still hot when we got home. We both had #6 combo plates. Food was flavourful. Portions were big. Ate it for 2 meals and still spent son home with rice n chowmain. I will eat there again!

The customer service was phenomenal. The place is cozy and nostalgic, and the food is extremely delicious!! Feels like a movie set. As a person who worked in a neighbourhood staple- I know one when I see one. And this is it. Run don’t walk! Come on over!

We tried different combination plates and almost all of them were good. Only nit-pick was that the general tao chicken was a bit too sweet. Got to know I can request it to be more spicy next time. Our server was super nice and thanks to her we had a great time! On another note: I’ve been here a few times and have my memories associated with this place. This is not the best chinese food place and it doesn’t have to be. It feels more like a throwback restaurant to me where I can go have a decent chinese (Canadian) meal for a reasonable price, in a supremely clean and quite dining space. Sometimes being simple can be quite difficult and this place aces that.

The dragon rice is amazing among other things on the menu. Wonderful service. One of the best Chinese food restaurants in the city.

Truly a hidden gem in Halifax. Food was excellent and the owners genuinely friendly. The Yong chow fried rice was quite fabulous.

I tried their food three times in 1998. I did not like the "authentic" Chinese dishes (I have lived in six Chinese provinces) and the female co-owner's attitude. I told her to stop mistreating me. She then slapped my Head!! Hopefully, she is retired by now and has returned to Communist China.

Great place for Chinese food....... When they are actually open!!!! Never seem to be open when they are supposed to be
