So happy to see accommodation for gluten-free and vegan diners. The servers were top-notch, knowledgeable, accommodating, and friendly as well.

PSA: This place doesn't use any actual pizza dough for their pizzas. I checked out the photos before I ordered and expected Neapolitan style pizza made with hand kneaded dough, and chewy/pillowy crust. Unfortunately they just use their flat bread dough as the pizza dough (they call it puffed bread, it's like a very thin pita) and put some toppings on it.

Came for a Saturday Night supper with a friend. We didn’t have a reservation but didn’t take long for us to find a table. They do have a beautiful patio too but we were seated indoors given the mild rain. I tried one of their wood stove oven pizzas and it was brilliant. The crust was exquisite in taste and thin too. My friend had a vegan/vegetarian pasta with a custom choice of sauce. She absolutely loved it too. The ambience, decor and the service as plenty good too. Can recommend if you’re looking for a nice dining experience in Halifax with quality Italian food.

One of our favourite restaurants in the city. Food is so filling and refreshing not to mention very tasty! The restaurant is so cute and the owners are so sweet. The portions are big and full of flavour! The patio is great in the summer time. Menu has lots of wonderful options.

Amazing pizza! Closest to the real Napoli style pizza I have had in years. Cooked in a hot 700 degree oven and the toppings are fresh and tasty. Service was excellent and the staff are very friendly! Will keep going back again and again. Thank you for being such a great local business.

ordered a $20 burger. Maybe 5 ounces! Over-cooked. Added lots of tomatoes to make it juicy. mentioned something. Was not busy at all. staff were nice and friendly. My last visit.

This restaurant is my favourite place in the city! The food is amazing and the environment is elegant and comfortable any time of the day. The staff are lovely and the owner is very personable. I go here often on my own and I love it, give it a try!

First visit last night and it will NOT be our last. We were a group of 5 with reservation. Bryanna was a brilliant, pleasant server. No detail was overlooked. We started with the shrimp app & the artichoke spinach with homemade flat bread, delectable. Actually not 100% true... we started with a round of beer & wine with very good selection.. Our mains from provolone burger to great pasta dishes, were enjoyed by all, fresh & hot & tasty. Even got a chance to speak to Albert the owner who is very experienced in the restaurant business. My adult children, hubby and myself had an opportunity to visit La Piazza Resto last evening. What an awesome experience. Our server Karine was so amazing, ( we wanted to take her home with us!) and she deserves top marks! Each and every dish, from our appetizers, to our entrees, to our desserts were simply perfect. Served hot, fresh and beyond delicious. Hats off to the La Piazza team. We can't wait to return!

Service and food were fantastic. The appetizers were all large portions and very tasty. The mains were cooked to perfection and the desserts were very fresh. Highly recommend this gem.

One of the best italiano restaurant in town. Easy to park on the road side, elegant food and warm services. Highly recommend their chef signature pasta and mussels.

We have had 2 fabulous meals here visiting from Victoria BC. Diala our server is warm and engaging and has a beautiful smile. The lobster ravioli was sublime just the right amount of creamy rose sauce. The pizzas were the best we ever had and we love wood fire pizzas. Our only issue is this is a bit far to be our favorite neighborhood haunt. Thank you for the delicious lemon cake-subprimo!

i love la piazza!! i’ve been there a couple of times, and every time i have enjoyed myself. i have only ever eaten outside, because the atmosphere is amazing in the summer. i feel like i’m in a cute restaurant in europe. the staff are super friendly, and the menu is pretty diverse. they have a lot of good options for vegetarians and vegans. the pasta primavera is always my go too, but their pizza is also so good! for my birthday, they gave my vegan carrot cake for free, which was super appreciated! i definitely plan on coming here again.

The food here was pretty tasty. We had the prosciutto and arugula pizza and the chef's special pasta, which were pretty both good, if a bit overpriced for what they were - the pizza was a bit bland aside from the meat, and the pasta only had a few pieces of seafood despite being over $30. The big disappointment of the meal was our pancetta-wrapped scallops appetizer, which was $18 and, to our disbelief upon receiving our order, only included 3 small scallops (the number was not specified on the menu). So overall the food here tastes fine but is a bit of a rip-off, even by today's standards of overpriced restaurants.

I just moved to the area and was hoping to find something good and local. Horrendous pizza. They just threw wet artichokes straight from the can, uncut on the pizza then undercooked it. Way too soggy and wet. Please stop rushing the bake time. The only upside is the young ladies hosting were very professional and either received training or took it upon themselves. Good work there.

You must visit! We have been twice and our second visit was even better than our first. Service is excellent, food is really wonderful, atmosphere is exactly what you need.. What more could you ask for? Can't wait for a warm summer night on the patio!

I can only speak to the food as we've only had delivery. The pizza is pretty good and delivery has been fast every time. Good communication too when ordering online.

While we live in the neighborhood, it was our first visit. The service was very good from start to finish! It was a very cold night and we were very cozy inside. A pretty expansive menu was presented to us and we had a hard time making up our minds as a result. Deep fried cauliflower was worth it! Pizza was very tasty. Unfortunately my wife’s chicken kabob was not really a kabob and was just off a bit. Regardless we will return to try again during patio season!

Really enjoyed our dinner tonight. The atmosphere is cozy, the service excellent, the menu varied and interesting and the best part, the food was great! The pizza and the Italian Seafood Fest were fabulous.

The location and atmosphere was great. The pizza taste was good. I was expecting the Margarita pizza to be in an Italian style (with Italian thick crust in an oval shape), however it seems that they are using the same crust for all pizzas. Overall a bit pricey

Lovely place. I wish the city would install traffic calming measures. Chebucto Road in front of the patio is noisy because of the car traffic. Bike racks would be cool also. Would make this a five star

Cute comfortable spot. 1st time and our choices were so perfect that we went back then next week, 2nd choices were just as good. Then for breakfast which was delicious. Emily served us each time and she's great. Looking forward to going back.

Went with my wife and two children that are 6 and 7. From the time we stepped inside we were welcomed and attentively waited upon. The food was delicious and the waitress was honest when asked for suggestions. Would recommend this place for parents looking for a bit of elevation in their meal, while making the kids happy as well.

This has become my favourite wood fired pizza spot in town! I've dined and and had delivery, and both times were absolutely amazing. We had the Tuscan (twice) and the Quatro Stagioni. The pizzas are light and delicious. Also loved the spindip - leaving the artichokes whole are a nice touch - even though I would've liked a larger portions. And last note - if you're dining in, make sure you have their chilli oil because it goes so well with their pizzas!
