I sat and watched my mojito and pina coladas being crafted with painstaking detail, in contrast to the rapid assembly line style that you may see in ciudad vieja’s restaurants. The mojito’s flavors are rich and complex, achieving a meticulous balance of subtle-sweet and citrus-sour, enriched by the mint’s cool, bittersweet, and peppery edge. Meanwhile, the Pina colada had just the right amount of coconut to provide a creamy body, rendering the texture of the drink (composed of blended ice) somehow smoother than the decadent ice cream. And guess how much these two drinks came out to be? Approx $10 USD, pricey for Havana but probably near impossible to beat in the US

Chic, modern, well decorated upscale restaurant. We really enjoyed the presentation of each dish. And the chocolate souffle was absolutely sublime. We didn't need a reservation but it might make sense for a large group. The lamb was good and I would go back for the desert and cocktails anytime!

They bar man makes what I can only describe as the best Pina Colada I had my entire trip and there are many contenders but they aren’t even close. The food is awesome the tacos are fabulous the langoustine is fabulous.

Otramanera was very kind in catering to our dietary needs. The restaurant was empty when I arrived at 7 PM but soon after I arrived a couple of larger groups joined. The chef’s courtesy dish (eggplant pate) was very tasty. Onto our appetizer, I definitely recommend the a cheese tower dish (I don’t remember the name) and the ceviche with maracuya. For main course, I would recommend the 2 dishes we tried - shrimp wok noodle dish and the tuna tataki. I am definitely adding Otramanera to my list of restaurants to visit when back in Havana.

Basically everything we tasted here was top quality -- cold thick tomato soup with croutons, thinly sliced potato appetizer, spicy fish curry, seafood risotto. All of it - YUM. Great wine too (a bottle of Spanish rose). This wasn't just the best meal we ate in Havana, it was the most interesting meal we've had in awhile, and we fine-dine a lot! Otramanera is a home run.
