We attended this place for the first time as we were invited to a church BBQ. The park is extremely nice and family friendly. The shelters were awesome and they came in different sizes but as you will see in my picture the water and trees are great for pictures.

We went later in the day. It looked really nice. I can't believe I've never been here before. I definitely want to go back when we can spend more time there and enjoy all there is to offer. Went back today 9/7/23, it was beautiful and quiet. I have to say I really wish ppl would clean up after themselves more!

This is the most fabulous place to spend the day with family and friends! There is so much to do, from swimming to train rides, fishing and so much more! The prices are fairly cheap and the workers are so amazing and patient!!

It's such a great park, beautiful and clean! So much to do and enjoy here. Friendly, welcoming staff too. The newly renovated pool is fantastic. I like to park at Piedmont Environmental Center and walk the trail and the new bridge over the lake into the park. Dog friendly!

I go here a lot to fish with my daughter. Great place and peaceful when you're out on the lake. I may not catch a lot of fish, but I do catch a lot of peace and quiet. UPDATE: Just want to comment that the marina staff is very polite and professional. Someone there can tell you something about the lake if you have a question. Went to nearby Oak Hollow for a day to fish, and I sure did miss the excellent staff at HPCL.

A peaceful part of the lake; there are boat & canoe/paddleboard docks at this side of High Point City Lake too. *Negatives: - [re-rated this from 5-stars to 3-stars] We’ve been here 3 times & on our 3rd time, on Labor Day, while it was raining, they charged us $4/paddleboard @ 6PM when they close at 7:30PM. We’ve been bringing our own SUP paddleboards multiple times, 1-2 hours before they close, but we must’ve caught the staff on a bad day.

We went over the weekend and were excited to sit on the rides but unfortunately they were closed and for the boat ride you have to make a reservation in advance. Beside that the lake is kept nice and clean, they have huge shelter, play area, got a chance to see diverse and friendly people there.

High Point City Lake is beautiful, serene and abundant with wildlife. We often Kayak and paddleboard here. It is one of my favorite places to take new paddlers.

High Point Park is a nice surprise. It has picnic shelter and a big playground for kids. There are big boat rides into the lake at reasonable prices. The office gives some other permits, too. The park has some paid activities too. Carousel 🎠, mini train, ⛳️ golf, etc. There is new construction going on for new picnic shelter and water park. Entery into the park is free. Restrooms are available. Lots of parking space.

Been coming here for years. Great park and they take care of it. Taught my youngest how to fish here this weekend for the first time. Bank fished on Saturday, and rented a boat and trolling motor on Sunday morning. Had a wonderful and memorable time.

My mom hosted my baby shower on 3/18 at the newly renovated event center. I cannot say enough positive things about this beautiful space! John, Kaitlyn, Josh, Olivia, and the remaining staff have been nothing short of amazing for my mom to work with. They were all super attentive and supportive even on the day of the event. The room is the perfect size for smaller and bigger events, depending on the set up. High ceilings and beautiful, tall windows give the room plenty of natural light and add to the ambiance of the space. The kitchen is such a wonderful accompaniment to have and is right next to the room which makes transporting food a breeze. The bathrooms have plenty of room, especially if one needs to change clothes, and they are super nice. The modern feel of the building is striking and welcoming! They are still working out the kinks of the new system for things like Bluetooth connectivity. However, USB connectivity is available and easy to navigate for laptops and iPads. In short, this place and the staff are a 10/10! I highly recommend booking the newly renovated event center for your next event!

Very quiet, relaxing and beautiful place to visit! If you are having a gathering at one of the shelters, the Ducks are so used to people, they walk right up to you to ask for a snack! Grounds of the park are kept incredibly clean! This was such a relaxing experience today, that we will definitely be going back! Looking forward to a lot more time spent here in the very near future!

Visited from out of town. Cool park with many options. Several pavilions and trails to walk. Will come back when I return to the area. The ducks were very friendly and walked right up to us.

Took my grandson here for the afternoon and we had a blast! Not too crowded and enough places to set up for lunch / snack time or just to take breaks. Plenty for the kids to do. We loved it!

One of my daughters favorite parks to visit. There are several play structures for kids to play on as well as a train, carousel and mini golf. You can buy tickets for each of those or purchase an all day pass. The lake has places for fishing, and paddle boats and canoes for rent. The pool and gym are under construction, we can't wait for the project to be completed. It's a great park!

Me and my family love walking this trail at city lack park, you can fish here, have cookouts go swimming or use their boats as well the only thing that I see wrong is they need more trash cans along the trails.

What a beautiful place. They have a mini water park, train rides, boat rides around the river, playground and mini golf course. They have a concession stand that serves food and they have grills and trash cans at each building at least two. And the building has a roof and outdoor tables so you can sit and eat and not get wet if it was to rain. Very well maintained.

I have to be honest $10 is is a bit for residents of High Point and then $15 for out of town people it's a lot the water slides are are good we went down two of the three I think that made it worth the money

This park has it all, Olympic size pool, lazy river, three slides and a water playground. It's all brand new. If you like fishing, the park has a marina with boat rentals. In the fall, they offer scenic pontoon boat rides showing off the beautiful fall colors. They have train rides and are in the process of getting a new play ground for the little ones. My favorite part of the park is going there after a big rain and watching the power of the water rushing over the dam.

Excellent new facilities. Great set up. Definitely a go to spot if you can take the crowds. It's very crowded and parking is inconvenient on a weekend or holiday. Best bet, if you plan to swim or take the kids, go on a weekday.

I've been going to city lake park for quite a number of years now...whenever my aunt and uncle use to come home from Washington DC we'd plan a trip during the summer prep some food and take it with us id leave early enough to grab a good picnic area while waiting on them to arrive with the rest of the family for a filled day of swimming playing basketball when it was available riding on the boat around the lake letting the kids get on the rides and watching other families enjoy there time at the park in an great atmosphere. I've always loved and enjoyed my experience with family and friends here and will continue to do so if it permits itself.

Really nice pool and very roomy. The snack bar is nice and worth the prices. The entrance fee is a bit much and the bathrooms weren't what I thought they would be. I still think it's an overall nice pool to visit.

Great location for beginner paddlers! Ferry boat tours and kayak rental available. Motor boat restrictions so minimal boat traffic. Very scenic, well maintained..

Although I was here to participate as an employee of Jamaican Coast Catering, the park was, in my opinion, a nice place to be. Once the renovations are complete, it will create an even better place for friends and family who are looking to have a nice time together.

Great time, first time here. My opinion. 1. It’s huge park 2. Carousel is really old and needs replacing 3. The train ride was fun but the driving lady lost something and stopped the train on tracks so she can find it then hopped in. 4. The playground was huge and worth it 5. The ladies at concession and tickets were rude and not nice. 6. Prices are cheap and affordable for family fun so that’s great 7. Mini putt putt was small and simple but fun 8. The pool and gym and stage and amphitheater were closed for renovations 9. The boat ride was fun but then when we were returning the young man hit the dock and called the radio man to come help him load the boat and then after 5 min the man showed up to load boat. We hit dock twice . Fun family time

👍👍 I love this park for quick visits with kids. Lots of parking spaces, area where you can sit and eat and has bbq too. There is a basketball court right next to the parking and few other play areas.
