Great place to stay in Hikkaduwa. The family is really nice and the breakfast is amazing. The rooms are clean and modern. Unfortunately the train is right next to the Motel but with earplugs you can have a good nights sleep. I can absolutely recommend it!

We had a fantastic stay here. The location is excellent, it's across the street from the beach but far enough from the main road that it's nice and quiet. The breakfast was really good too. The room was clean, spacious, and comfortable. Also the manager is really nice and can arrange anything from tours to taxis. Overall we had a great stay.

Very nice staff and good rooms. They will help you if you have any questions. When you choose a stay you should consider that the rail tracks are passing right next to it and you might wake up from the early morning train. But even that that is kind of a fun experience.

Tamara’s place is amazing. My husband and I stayed in the suite and it was massive! Air con worked great, super clean, excellent location right across the street from the beach, and our bathroom and shower looked like a spa. Tamara and her family were so great to us as well, so friendly and helpful. We will 100% be staying here again when we return to Hikkaduwa!

Owners are really nice and helpful, the room was very clean and well maintained. It's just poorly situated by the railway so the trains wake you up when they pass. Not a good choice for light sleepers.

I stayed there for 2 weeks. The family run motel is one of the friendliest places I've being in. Relatively cheap and the Sri Lankan breakfast is pretty good. Except for the railway running next to the motel (can be pretty loud), I find this place good peaceful place to stay while in hikkaduwa.

Nice room and good location hotel. The room was clean enough but not perfect. The window overlooked a shared balcony, so for privacy, it had to be kept curtained most of the time. But there is a refrigerator. There is a train track right next to the hotel and the train can be heard loud enough several times a day. The hotel has an area with a beach shower, which was great and allowed you not to carry sand from the beach to your room. The breakfasts were good, but not very filling. You could choose what kind of breakfast you will cook the next morning from several options. The hotel also provides clean bottled water for a fee.

The room given to me was very spacious, clean, well equipped and specially the toilet plus shower facility was commendable as it gives you an extra natural impression. Nipun, his wife, his mother and the girl who helps with the day-to-day work were all very attentive to take care of my requests and always available instantly. Easy access to beautiful beach, shops and restaurants. Even if one of the previous clients mentioned about the train track closeness and the noise, I found it's quiet and had a very good peaceful sleep during my stay of three nights. Had I had more days available, I'd have stayed more. I had the pleasure of having their home cooked tasty meals which was very nice and cheaper. They recommended me a very good reputed JLH Restaurant for lobsters and that was remarkable. All and all, I had a very pleasurable stay at Tamara Motels. Would not stay any other place when I'm in Hikkaduwa again.

We have discovered this place on our last day while visiting Sri Lanka. And I can tell you that the place has a perfect location, nice clean AC rooms and of course incredibly friendly and helpful staff. The value is amazing plus they can arrange day tours and airport transfer for a very good price. To be honest this place is better than some 3* hotels we have stayed at during our trip to Sri Lanka. I can totally recommend this place if you want to stay and experience Hikkaduwa! Thank you Nipun for hosting us!

I've visited there 12/08/2022, stayed in master room, very good room & service, all are clen 😊. location falls for the view only. also just near the railway, there are noisy when trains are going

Great Location! Superb view from the balcony room. The hosts are amazing and super friendly. Worth investing your money in Hikkaduwa.

Room. Clean but some Mold in the bed and some smell from the bathroom. When we arrived the had sprayed the room with some airfresher, so if was hard to be inside cos of it. Location. Good, central, but the train is next to the guesthouse and its very loud. Stuff. Friendly and helpful. Low points are because of the mold and perfyme in the room. And we left our clothes there for Laundry, we paid 2500rs for them. They all came back with same stains and same sweaty smell as when we turned it all in. So now we have to wash everything again.
