Allow
me
to
begin
by
stating
that
this
review
and
rating
is
of
the
Barai
spa
and
of
their
weight
loss
program
as
opposed
to
a
review
of
the
resort
as
a
whole,
as
a
Hyatt
run
property.
The
resort
itself,
the
Hyatt
Regency
Hua
Hin,
as
a
property
is
fabulous
and
among
the
biggest
resorts
in
Hua
Hin.
It’s
clean
and
well
maintained.
Rooms
are
spacious
and
clean.
They
do
come
provided
with
mosquito
repellent
body
sprays
and
the
plug-in
insect
repellent
vapor,
both
are
very
effective
at
keeping
mosquitos
at
bay.
The
resort
has
everything
for
everyone
and
is
definitely
family
oriented.
The
resort
has
direct
access
to
Hua
Hin’s
beach
which
is
perfect
for
swims
and
long
walks
especially
if
you’re
trying
to
lose
weight.
Also
most
Hua
Hin
sights
are
within
short
driving
distance.
The
town
itself
is
very
walkable,
again
very
beneficial
for
weight
loss.
The
Barai
is
the
resort’s
spa
where
you
can
get
treatments
and
go
on
a
wellness
journey.
The
weight
loss
program
was
the
main
purpose
of
my
stay
(three
weeks).
With
the
program
you’re
offered
three
healthy
meals
a
day,
some
treatments
(mostly
massages)
and
some
physical
activities
like
personal
training
or
stretching
sessions.
The
meals
are
all
healthy
meals
designed
to
specifically
address
your
goal.
Most
of
my
meals
were
vegetarian
/
vegan
meals
with
a
few
meals
that
included
fish
or
chicken.
From
my
experience
will
find
the
meals
difficult
in
the
beginning
in
terms
of
satisfaction,
but
assuming
you’re
staying
for
two
weeks
or
more,
rest
assured
you
will
get
used
to
it
and
your
body
will
adjust.
Staff:
super
friendly,
hardworking,
always
smiling,
patient
and
always
prepared
to
assist.
Specific
staff
recognition
-
Vito,
full
of
energy
and
very
positive.
He
went
above
and
beyond
by
escorting
me
to
the
immigration
office
at
Blúport
to
extend
my
visa.
-
Aom
(at
the
MacFarland
restaurant)
for
going
the
extra
mile
by
not
only
making
me
feel
welcomed
but
by
also
regularly
checking
on
my
well
being.
-
Pakbung
(at
the
MacFarland
restaurant)
for
remembering
me
and
my
specific
meals
likes
and
dislikes
from
my
last
stay.
-
Tan
(therapist
at
the
Barai)
remembered
me
from
my
last
visit.
She
was
very
friendly,
welcoming
and
a
great
conversationalist
during
my
treatments.
She
went
above
and
beyond
by
checking
up
on
my
health,
suggesting
specific
exercises
for
me
and
also
by
recommending
medicine
for
my
nagging
cough
during
my
second
week
at
the
resort.
-
Pim,
Malisa
and
Rose
(therapists
at
the
Barai)
are
all
very
kind
and
friendly
ladies.
Pim
actually
remembered
me
from
my
last
visit
as
well.
All
were
great
conversationalists
during
my
treatments
and
treated
me
well.
Some
areas
for
improvement:
-
Posting
the
high
/
low
tide
times
at
the
beach
access
points
of
the
resort
for
all
to
know
when
to
go
swimming
or
do
beach
walks
etc.
-
Allowing
easy
access
to
the
locker
keys
of
the
Olympus
health
club
Personal
recommendation
Stay
for
the
relaxation
and
health
journey
reset.
The
resort
is
made
for
couples
and
families
but
you
will
still
enjoy
the
experience
as
a
single
person.
If
you
decide
to
stay
at
the
Barai-Hyatt
Regency,
I
recommend
venturing
out
to
Hua
Hin
town
(5
minute’s
drive)
as
often
as
possible.
There
are
sights
to
see
(eg.
temples),
markets
and
two
major
malls
to
visit.
This
will
help
with
cabin
fever
especially
if
you’re
there
alone.
For
the
weight
loss
program:
for
long
stays
(more
than
a
week),
I
would
recommend
setting
realistic,
achievable
goals.
You
may
even
surprise
yourself.
For
example,
I
personally
aimed
to
drop
3
Kgs
in
three
weeks
but
ended
up
dropping
just
over
5kgs.
Also
I
would
recommend
getting
a
print
out
of
the
planned
meals
for
your
weight
so
as
to
know
what
you
will
be
served
up
front
and
not
be
disappointed.
You
can
always
ask
to
have
your
meals
tweaked.
Enjoy
your
stay
😇👍
