We have stayed here several times. This time is the last! The hotel is a disaster and the women that work there are RUDE. Gary is the only employee that is helpful. We called and confirmed our booking. Arrived to only 1 room, paid for 2 was told our rooms were cancelled due to no show after we called and said we would be late. Booked 2 rooms paid for 2 rooms only got one. Had to get housekeeping to let us in our room everytime. The girl at the front gave another guy a key to our room. The pool is closed by the city. Its just a complete mess!!! Thank you Gary for being kind to us!!

I was really looking forward to this stay but the hotel definitely over promised and under delivered! The amenities include an outdoor pool, restaurant, and bar on site. There is no restaurant or bar "yet" and the pool is shut down by the city. Feeling like I got the bait and switch. I tried to call to see if I could move to another Hyatt in the area and the rep just kept telling me what type of restaurants are in the area and that the reservation is non refundable. I don't want a refund I just want a Hyatt quality stay. Super disappointed.

They use deceptive practices with billing. I had my pet with me and after the cleaning fee that I agreed to they added an additional fee that would be refunded according to the manager in 4 or 5 days. It has been twice that with no communication about why they kept my money. I would understand if my dog had done anything. She was never in the room alone and only barked once when someone was yelling on the other end of the hall. The general area was kept up except the one stairwell looked like people had vomited in there and the door was blocked open because the card lock did not work. One positive is the breakfast was fine.

Stayed here for two nights this week. The staff were friendly and helpful. But that is where the pleasant experience stopped. The rooms were cramped, in desperate need of a deep clean and the hotel was in bad need of maintenance. The toilet in our room had a post it note taped to it instructing how to use it since it was in need of a replacement handle and apparently that was too much work to do. The shower had no hot water unless you ran the sink faucet on full blast (we were on the 5th floor). Cleaning towels were left for us to use as hand towels. There was smeared makeup on the walls. The most concerning was the fact that you cannot get out of the pool area once you enter it. The card reader to open the door back to the hotel doesn’t work (I found it propped open at least once), there was a cable lock securing one gate and the other had been rigged shut. I have never been so disappointed in a hotel stay at a Hyatt property.

Eric and Nadia worked tonight when we checked in. They were both super positive and happy people. They truly went above what I’m used to as a person that stays in hotels 6 months out of the year. I don’t think I saw a single time that they weren’t engaged in conversation with customers and helping people. Excellent customer service.

This is not your expected Hyatt experience. We were there for 3 nights. The hotel is outdated and a little on the shabby side. The breakfast was okay but not hot (just room temp), there's no coffee in the lobby except at breakfast. I overheard a staff member saying that they aren't getting some supplies because they haven't paid their bills! Not a good sign. The staff is GREAT! So sweet and very professional. They go above and beyond. There's a lot of wear and tear on walls, doors, counters, etc. I got slammed by the elevator door because it just closed so FAST. It bruised my arm and sent coffee and creamer flying. Another guest in the elevator even commented on the elevator malfunction!!! The housekeeping staff is great. Everything was very clean and spotless. I would not recommend staying here if you are expecting modern and well-maintained. You can get a better stay in the same area.

Room was clean stayed there for 3 weeks. Breakfast was pretty good, but the elevator was terrible. Scared my wife every time we got in it.

Rooms were clean and comfy. Our TV had a weird flicker to the screen, but it didn't inhibit viewing too much. The complimentary breakfast was good and I liked that there was a little bit of everything, so you could really customize your meal to your liking. The spot is quiet and close to some good restaurants as well as shopping.

Our room stunk, the sink was clogged, bathroom was not clean. The elevators are broken and jolt like crazy- also front desk doesn't answer the phone when you call. Hot water runs out and my allergies were on overdrive in this room- probably because the curtains and carpet were filthy. Not worth the money. Breakfast and the decor were the highlights of this stay. The rooms need to match what it looks like when you walk in the lobby. Right now it's a bait and switch.

Rooms need updating. I've stayed at this same Hyatt several years ago and it had upscale rooms. They now need refreshing. I love the aesthetics, however. Service is always friendly and professional.

This place is quiet, very clean & easy to navigate. They have hot tub, pools & exercise center open 24/7. They even provide beach towels to accommodate your visits to these places so you won't have to use those from your room. The staff is very professional, welcoming and helpful in lots of ways. They offer several types of breakfast & a variety to drink as well. There's also a "mini convenience store" by front desk for that midnight drinks, snacks & sweet tooth without walking out the front door.

I have stayed here multiple times over the years, but I won’t stay again. Room wasn’t super clean when I checked in, but I wasn’t in my room much and could deal with it. Then the ceiling leaked when it rained; I was moved to another room the following day (they were too full to move me the night of the leak, which was unfortunate but understandable). The sheets in the new room were not clean. I had to ask 3 times (over 12 hours) to get clean sheets. There was a problem with my bill, but nobody was manning the desk when I checked out early in the morning. I had to use the online checkout, and now the manager won’t return my email or call to resolve the problem. I have never really considered customer service important for a basic hotel like this, but it matters when the facility is in disrepair and you need assistance.

This hotel already has so many wonderful reviews but I felt led to leave my very own. I resided here to visit and spend time with someone I love so very much. Staff was overly kind, professional, and the premise was spotless clean at all times! Not to mention the amenities such as an on-site mini gym, and pool! Thank you so very much, Hyatt place for making my stay so pleasant. I had a blast here with my loved one and will definitely remember it all for a long time coming.

The pool was disgusting. They didn't clean their pool. NO HOT WATER! A/C was loud and smelled bad. The curtains looked like they needed to be replaced 20 years ago. Stains in the carpet and furniture. The sheets and towels were clean, but nothing else was. The mini-fridge didn't work well. If you want ice, you have to go to the 3rd or 5th floors. Why are they not on EVERY floor, like every other hotel in existence? For $150/night I would expect a lot better. Might as well stay at Motel6.

I just spent 10 nights at this location. My first time there, thank you for everything. Gary works the front desk in the evening and really gets to know his customers. Breakfast (and coffee) in the morning was great and everything in my room worked perfectly. Hope to be back someday.

Today I came to check in the hotel (Hyatt Place Fort Worth/Hurst) we made a reservation at and was given card keys to room 301...AWFUL. It smell like an animal urinated on every inch of the carpet. I'm not paying $767.07 for that. I went back to the front desk and ask for a different room...it smells 1000x better. Why would you even give a paying customer a room that smell like that. Do better please!

I’ve stayed here twice and both times it was fantastic. Loved my room. Great location. Accessible to everything. The staff was welcoming and helpful. Would definitely recommend them. You won’t be disappointed 👍🏽

This was my 2nd visit to Dallas. I am an avid Hyatt customer and I tend to lean towards Hyatt when I travel. This place is worse than a Best Western: No hot water, loud AC, dirty walls, broken toilet seat... The list can go on and on. Don't book your stay here. The 4 star reviews fooled me. We got to the hotel and was given a room with a number of issues. When we went downstairs, the person at Check in could only say "Oh I told them not to take the fridge out!" Maybe you should consider doing an inspection for cleanliness and whether the room was ready. Also when we attempted to go down for breakfast, there was only bacon available as hot food. Overall the worse Hyatt experience I have ever had! Stay away. It's not worth it! I mean how do you not have hot water???

Two of the lights in the room didn't work. Terrible breakfast service. They don't keep bread, but there is a toaster. May be they expect 'bring your own bread'. Breakfast is until 9am. First day, I saw some potatoes and the second day, at 8-30am, they were all gone. They also have a 'market' kind of a thing next to the reception that hardly has items worth mentioning. There is a Starbucks coffee, which non functional. I will definitely not stay in this hotel again.

The room was filthy, unclean and unacceptable. From the linen on the bed to the towels dirty! The pillow cases were dirty, the sheets had stains. When I unrolled my wash cloth to use it it had make up on it, when I grabbed my bath towel to dry off with after I showered it had stains on it. Needless to say housekeeping is not doing their job. I had to call the front desk to bring me clean towels, but by the time they brought them, I had air dried- I could go into more detail on the uncleanliness of the room and some of its it's common areas, but the towel and linen situation was enough. This is the worst and most unsanitary hotel that have ever stayed at. I was very disgusted. Such a disappointment. Also, there were similar complaints from other guests staying in the hotel and also some complained about not having phones in their rooms. That's a safety issue.

When we arrived she didn't have a king available but I had just booked. The staff was great and placed us in a room with a king. Good service. Beds were so comfortable!! Breakfast was also good. Real eggs and warm breakfast. Would stay again!

Okay just to sleep in. Rooms are dingy. We had towels that had holes and stains all over them. The curtains and floor were covered in an unknown brownish substance. Very strong Smokey smell in our room even though we were not on the top floor. Elevators were hit or miss if they were working. And sadly, the breakfast was VERY minimal. Staff was friendly. Close to highways.

Traveling with husband and 4 kids. We've had a positive experience all around. Clean rooms, comfortable beds and clean linens. Loved the hotel's big bottles of shampoo, conditioner, and body wash fixed to the wall in the shower; very convenient. Wifi is fast. Kids enjoyed the pool. Breakfast was A+ with many choices including scrambled eggs, sausage, fresh fruit, waffles, cereal, juices, muffins, and coffee. Several lunch/dinner restaurant choices within walking distance. My only little complaint is the room's a/c unit: it's quite loud. Bring earplugs.

  • 1/5 Jana 9 months ago on Google
Super dated and feels very cheap and gross. Elevators are very sketchy. Hallways are dark and gloomy. Rooms are very dark and feel grungy. Front desk tried to charge us twice and insisted that they didn’t. Would NOT recommend! ***edit to add, after sleeping, it was the worst sleep of my life and I’ve never woken up so sore. My whole body aches. VERY uncomfortable bed.

Pool not available, room service phone not working, have to walk down front office for every little thing. Room/building wasn't the greatest shape. Breakfast has no sausage, bacon. Stove broken so was stuck with coffee and yogurt. Elevator mare scary loud noise as it ascended. One of the worst hotel experience ever.

Nick was exceptional at check in. Unfortunately since we got in so late that night after a 2 day drive from NY, we didn't realize the ants crawling all over the side tables, headboard, and bed until the next morning in room 316. YUCK. The AC also clunked and there was large stains in the carpet. The hot water also didn't work in the shower until about 20 minutes in. When we went to the front desk on Thurs 5/25 around 4-5 pm the lady at the desk was rude and condescending. She spoke with an accent. The ONLY option in her eye was that we needed to immediately move to a room with a bed half the size of the one we had for the night then move again to another room the next night. Let's just say we weren't happy having to spend our entire vacation moving rooms and we voiced that. The front desk lady actually told us she would refund our money and walked away. We aren't quite sure what happened after we went back to our room as we had more family staying at the same hotel, however it did get resolved and we were able to only move rooms once with an "upgrade" to a handicapped room. 312 was in poor shape too. There were two phones in the room that weren't even plugged in, the shower curtain was too short for the tub and literally brown, the headboard wasn't fastened or something because it creaked every time your pillow hit it (we had to shim it with TISSUES so we could sleep), there was a piece of tissue stuck in the door peephole, the remote for the TV was missing, and the AC didnt cool the room at all. The fridge also needs defrosting because it was clogged and just dripped water. It was also disappointing as no resteraunt on site, the drinks and snacks they had available so you didn't have to leave was card only, frozen, and expensive. The pool was also closed by the city which makes you wonder what else is wrong with the place. The only positive in this was Nick's welcoming demeanour and vision to turn this place around. He tried very hard to make everyone's stay right and he took the time to get to visit with and know his guests. If it wasn't right around the corner from where family lived, I'd probably try another placed next time.

Very clean, well appointed rooms, with exceptionally friendly and helpful staff, and a better value than adjacent properties run by other hotel chains. Elevators need some cosmetic updating, but this was in process during our stay. Good breakfast!

I just left the front desk. I came to my room for a second night and found the bed unmade, dirty towels on the floor and no soap. I called the front desk three times and there was no answer. I went downstairs, asked the front desk clerk about it and Sabron started a fight, talked over me where I couldn’t get a word in while I kept saying “Let me talk, let me talk,” and then she cussed at us. I asked for the name of the manager and she said that information was confidential. She kept yelling at us all the way to the elevator. I pointed my finger up in the air toward the ceiling making a gesture of a “Wait a minute,” and she threaten to call the police for my pointing. The pool is also not operational because the city shut it down. The gentleman that checked us in on night one was very kind and helpful. What a difference. This woman is combative, would not calm down when I was trying to reason with her and she needs fired. I always stay at a Hyatt. Never again. Later: Upon check out I talked with the general manager. What a nice guy. He just took over and hopes to improve the place. God bless him.

Nice hotel. Customer service at the front desk was excellent. The room and bathroom very clean. There was no hot water when I went to take a shower or brush my teeth and My perfume was taken. I did not realize it was missing until I was unpacking at home. You spend so much money to stay somewhere nice only to be disappointed.

Beds we're comfortable, room was very clean. The floor we were on smelled pretty musty. Other than that the staff was really nice and the breakfast options were amazing!

Eric took EXCELLENT care of us on our vacation. The rooms were well taken care of, the breakfast was great, and the convenience of the location was so helpful. I'd recommend this place just to get to see Eric's bright and shiney face and kind attitude every day!

Location and staff are great but I would take your money elsewhere. First, the hotel is very old. The room reeked of mildew and smoke even though it was a “smokeless” room. The bed was so old that it was indented in the middle from kids jumping on the bed. The wall unit could not keep up with Texas summer. I had it set to the lowest setting and it was constantly running but not cooling the room. Then I noticed the previous person had wrapped the fire alarm with a trash bag. When I brought this up to the front desk personnel, he said maintenance was gone for the day and he would address it the next day (I was checking out the next day…).

My fiancé and I traveled to DFW for an interview that he had. We stayed at this Hyatt Place for four nights and had a wonderful experience. The room was comfortable and clean, and the hotel was a central location to every thing we needed. The staff was exceptional! Bianca checked us in around 1am and was very helpful answering a few questions I had about our reservation. We also needed important and sensitive documents printed last minutes and when we couldn't get the hotel printer to work, Alan was very kind and went above an beyond to help us get our documents printed. Overall a great experience! Would highly recommend to anyone looking for somewhere to stay, and we plan to stay here in there future shall we need to!

There was coacroaches in our room and in the hallways of the hotel. I brought it up to the staffs attention and he didn't seem very concerned. Our room smelled musty and the restroom is tiny. Breakfast was a huge let down and the staff was extremely unfriendly. I went to the front desk to ask for extra towels and they didnt have any clean ones. One of elevators had an issue where it will close the doors you press the buttons and it wont go anywhere. Your just stuck inside which is pretty scary. Overall it was not a good experience. For the almost $500 we payed I expected way better. We will not be staying there again.

They allow guests to threaten and intimidate you and they don’t have security. I checked in Friday evening and from 6pm Friday to 7pm Saturday, the three children next door were screaming. At one point the screaming was so loud and persistent I thought the kids were alone. I made two separate calls to the front desk Friday night but the kids screamed until around midnight. The third call came Saturday after it sounded like a child was hurt (which I later found out was). Since the screaming went on for a while I thought the child was alone so I called the office to say he’s probably by himself. The woman next door was visibly angry and literally shaking when she came to my room to confront me about the complaints. I told the clerk that I felt threatened and he told me there was nothing he could do since they didn’t have a manager on duty. I didn’t accept that for an answer so after I made two more calls, a total of five, I saw the lady next door moving her things out the room. I asked the clerk if the Hyatt has a noise policy and he said they do but it doesn’t apply to minors. I once stayed in a hotel that had a strict noise policy. At the time I felt their expectation for silence was unreasonable but since I’ve stayed at the Hyatt, a hotel that doesn’t enforce its noise policy, I appreciate the hotel that does. I appreciate the implicit notion that a family doesn’t get to enjoy their vacation at the expense of someone else’s.

Absolutely the nicest staff I've ever dealt with. David at the front desk helped me and my family when our flight got delayed by Southwest without even hesitating. The cleaning staff was always helpful when grabbing extra towels. The rest of the front desk was nothing but kind to me and my family. Even the maintenance crew went above and beyond when we had an issue with the water in our room. This will be the ONLY hotel I recommend here in the DFW area going forward! Absolutely world class people working here!

Eric, the Front Desk Manager, made my husband and I feel right at home from the minute we got in! We flew in from VA/Fl for a best friends wedding, so we didn’t have a vehicle and we’re using Uber to travel. We got in around 11:30 am and check in wasn’t until 3, however, Eric kindly offered to hold our bags while they got our room ready, so we could go get lunch and not have to lug them around. Throughout our 3 day stay he was kind and helpful and always smiling! Made every second within our stay there warm and welcoming. Hotel room and amenities were also very clean!!! :) V impressed!
