Quaint little tavern. Staff are really friendly and helpful. We ordered Haggis just to try it - mush meatball - with mashed potatoes and sweet potatoes. The fish and chips were tasty and the firecracker prawns were good. The chicken wings were very good ..

Amazing pub with great food. Quick food and friendly staff. Their chowder is highly recommended! 👍 Would definitely return when we come back to Inverness.

Interesting place. With nice rock music, a little bit loud. Relatively plenty of outdoor space. The building has 2 floors. Relatively not big menu with food, but with lots of alcohol on offer. In menu i did not find coffee latte but waiter tell me, it is available. I ordered - popcorn cauliflower, onion rings, margarita pizza and coffee latte. Popcorn cauliflower - two florets on the plate, it is not too much for generally title of dish. Florets was without salt. Yes lightly spicy dip saved a little, but not fully. Onion rings was not tasty for me. Margarita pizza - was tasty. Lots of cheese, it's always a win. Coffee latte - i am confused. I did not understand what i drank. Coffee flavour yes, milk foam yes but taste of milk like it is was milk maked from powdered milk. Or it is was very special milk? Yes, it is was tasty, but i am not sure, about milk inside. Probably people come here generally just for good beer. My opinion it is solid 3 stars.

We had a dinner and a drink here: everyone was very friendly and helpful, the place has nice vibes. The food was reasonable but nothing special, prices on the higher end for average quality. However the location is exquisite with fantastic views of the castle and the river! Great spot for some lovely time

First and foremost, I scheduled reservations ahead of time. This place gets packed, and I've missed out eating here twice in the past. The service was very friendly. The restaurant is a little small to me. (Used to large spaces in the US) But it was nice and clean. Service at the table was expedient, and my food came out fresh and hot. I ordered the fish n chips. (Haddock) I'm extremely pleased with everything, and I will put it on my list of places to visit when I am back in the area.

Stoped for a pint this afternoon, nice pub overlooking the River Ness. Ordered two pints, costed £10.50 - standard now days. Inside was a pleasant atmosphere, was not too noisy and football was playing. They did serve food but I did not order any and therefore can’t review that, however from a atmosphere and location perspective, it’s a nice place to have a drink and a sit down.

Fab food at a good price. Good selection of beers and spirits. Lots of screens for sport. Allows dogs which was nice. Small inside for eating but very nice and has lots of history.

We stayed at the Tavern to rest for a while and drink some beer. Which was really good. Staff was friendly and attentive. They cleaned the tables and putting plates, glasses etc. away for other guests coming. We didn't eat so we can not say something more about it, looked good what we saw whilst serving full plates. Unfortunately the Castle is under total remediation so that we couldn't see and visit it. We will come again.

Very friendly service! Also it was my first time eating haggis and it was very good! After that there was a burger waiting for me. One with pulled pork, onion ring bbq sauce and a well baked patty. If you go upstairs the menu is larger. So there is more on it. After these 2 dishes my stomach was filled and we’d go onwarts to our next adventure! Thanks for the good service and food see you next time!

The server moved us into the "closed" upper floor when the thunderstorm hit, which is very kind. The Cullen Skink is very good, and the Salmon Salad has a healthy amount of Salmon. I think we'll be back!

I came for the excellent gluten free fish and chips but my wife also loved her (non GF) haggis pakora. A very lovely spot by the castle (views from terrace). Good friendly service.

The excellent Bistro in Inverness. Great place to be. The staffs were most friendly. Food was awesome. Good cocktails and must try local beer. Highly recommended for someone looking for a best bar in Inverness.

"Honest" is a label I use to signify that you'll get what you expect at restos. So, it fits here light Olivia Newton John's pants in Grease. The menu promises decent basics, and they arrive promptly and in good nic'. The fish soup would benefit from an inundation of fish, so as to remind you of what you ordered. But as cream soups go...its...honest. The team are as helpful as one of those great social workers, that you would describe as "honest".

Really tasty food and your regular selection of pints. The Mac and cheese was a bit small in size for a grown hungry man, but other than that no complaints! Nice terrace with great view as well!

Had a great dinner the Staff is just great. Unfortunately I just caught one name, but she was so nice when we paid for our delicious fish and chips, and steak pies. Emma didn't have to be so kind to us but she just was. Our waitress with the black hair, apologies for not knowing your name was also so nice. Definitely worth seeing, best fish and chips in Inverness.

A really good pub, always has a good atmosphere with some fine Ales and the host (Johnny Boy I think) always chats. Iv visited Inverness several times and always make a beeline for "The Castle Tavern" Great Buffet at the family gathering on Friday 11th August the extra food was passed out to the public in the bar - Excellent !!!! I was one of the guys who you spoke with on Friday and Saturday, Im back in September.
