Awesome bar, huge range of their own locally brewed ales that are delicious. Bar itself is a simple yet very cool and chief space. The secret garden is superb, wish more pubs had areas like this. Incredible pizzas too. Cannot recommend this place enough. If you only go to one bar in Inverness, go here!

If you don't mind bit of noise (city centre plus it's a pub) then you'll love it. Staff are absolutely fabulous, very friendly and helpful 💕 Clean rooms, easy Check-in & check out, bargain for the price, extremely convenient location. Plus if you're too tired and hungry the food & drinkis waiting for you just downstairs. Strongly recommend.

Hey, I just came to visit Scotland for a week and this was my first opportunity to try a local place. Maybe this place is five star for locals, but I don't get it. I overpaid for a smaller pizza than normal, which is fine if the pizza is above average...which it was not. The atmosphere is loud and uncomfortable. The table was dirty. I had to essentially wait on myself (the only time I saw an employee was when they dropped the 'pizza' on the table. I had to ask for plates and silverware. The taste of the pizza was as if the cook put tomato paste on a large pita, placed some uncoordinated and non-pairing "artisanal/hand crafted" toppings on it with a bit of cheese and baked it. The pizza delivery to the table was flat and unfriendly. Nobody asked if the party was good on drinks or if the delivered food looked like what we expected. How this place draws such a large crowd on a Monday night boggles the mind.

Great location with a brilliant selection of organic beers. Had the wild venison pizza which I highly recommend. Can get very busy on a Friday and Saturday night. Though always a good sign. Stayed in the accommodation in February. Had my own room which was clean and to a good standard. Was slightly noisy until midnight. But you are above a pub. My only criticism would be that at over a hundred quid it was pretty expensive , particularly for February.

Went on Saturday night, the place was Bustling. Great crowd. Food, Pizza, how can you go wrong. Seat yourself, order at the bar. I recommend finding your seat first. They will ask you where you are sitting and bring your food to you. Order your beer. The beer is DELICIOUS! All organic ingredients and sustainability is also on the menu. Great value. Located up stairs is a "secret garden" outside seating. Also, small food cabins, I imagine keep you out of the rain while you eat outside.

My wife and I stayed at the Black Isle Bar & Rooms for 4 nights and really enjoyed it there. Yes the rooms are basic, but clean, warm and comfortable which is perfect after a day out hiking on the hills. And they were very good value all things considered. The staff were great, friendly and helpful and the pizzas were delicious - only topped (not literally) by the Black Isle Blonde lager on tap in bar, which was sublime. So sublime I drank possibly half a barrel of it. Not proud, but I really could'nt help myself. Well done Black Isle Bar and Brewery - Five Stars All The Way. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Busy bar with a huge range of their own beers on tap plus a really good pizza offering too. Sociable staff, good food and beer, plus there's a secret terrace up top apparently! The rooms are decent too. Can't go wrong.

As a Family with a dog we really enjoyed the amazing pizzas. The amount of own brewed bees available is unbelievable. We had various sorts of Pale Ale (No. 2 and No. 4) which we really enjoyed. Service is great, even for our dog they offered a free drink. Nicely located in the middle of Inverness. I can only recommend going there.

Fantastic. Superb range of beers on tap (around 20 I think) I would encourage everyone to try a few as you can order 1/3 of a pint to try and the get a pint or a half. They also make their own pizzas on the premises which appeared to be very popular, well can’t go wrong with a pint and a pizza can you?? Owned and run by a local company with very high environmental targets, the do carbon offsets, tree planting, local and organic produce which all go into making this a special place. I thoroughly encourage you all to do your bit for the good of the planet and have a beer or three in the Black Isle Bar.

We only had dinner here. We sat in one of the wooden huts on the top floor. The pizza was really good and the beer as well. I liked the atmosphere of the wooden huts! Very neat place to have some food and just hang out!

Outstanding meal. Busy place but I was able to seat myself right at the bar (love bar seats when eating solo) and order quickly! Got a fresh amber draught that was perfect and asked the server what was the “hidden gem” pizza on the menu. He steered me exactly right with the balsamic and goat cheese option. Wowie it was perfectly salty and sweet and cheesy and so good. I gobbled it up. Great atmosphere, lively and friendly folks!

Well what can I say. Very good brewery with the heart at the right place and this is also true for the bar. Local and very good ingredients are a good formula which we need more often nowadays. The beer is as usual very good and they have a lot on tap for every taste. You can also get different sizes so you can try to try all of them (around 20) on a single and evening 😉. The staff is very friendly and the bar is located at a very central place in Inverness. The food was also good with some nice pizzas and also the salad was good. Highly recommended if you are a beer fan.

I love coming here the pizza is good and so is the atmosphere ! Had a few social events there it’s easy to find tables and usual to share them with other groups and a good vibe. Staff are friendly and helpful. Food and service are spot on.

Great tap room bar, very impressive range of organic, home made beers, IPA's, ale stouts, porters and more. We stopped in for food, and the hand cooked pizzas were excellent. The lamb meatball pizza was especially tasty. Beer garden set on the roof offers sun and shade and a place to smoke. Dog friendly. Definitely somewhere I'll return to when next in Inverness.

Great local beer, amazing wood fire cooked pizzas, and really fresh ingredients in the salad. Open late and were happy to accommodate a grohl of 6 of us at 9.30pm! Brilliant prices too, would highly recommend.

Always wanted to visit the var since I went to the brewery a few years ago. The draw of pizza and beer did it. Wish I'd remembered about the secret garden instead of sitting in the very busy bar. Don't be afraid to share tables...I saw so many people walking out because they couldn't get a seat....but tables for 6 only had 2 on them. Amazing service at the bar. Yummy pizza

Best pizza I’ve had in a long while. The venison sausage and mushroom pizza….chef’s kiss! I also had a glass of the cider on tap. Very refreshing. The staff are lovely. I’d recommend to anyone for a relaxed time with great vittles.

Great atmosphere and the staff was fantastic! Very knowledgeable, make great recommendations, and were quick to clear away empty plates and glasses from our large table. The pizza was fantastic, and we appreciated the option to get them gluten-free as well! We wished we had gone back during our short stay in Inverness!
