Golmerz
Reservoir
is
one
of
the
most
beautiful
attractions
near
Urmia
city.
Beside
this
wetland,
there
are
several
other
small
and
large
wetlands,
the
largest
of
which
is
the
Golmerz
reservoir.
The
area
of
this
wetland
is
2
hectares
and
its
depth
reaches
14
meters.
The
nature
surrounding
this
lagoon
has
added
to
the
charm
of
this
area.
Every
year
many
nature
tourists
come
to
this
area
to
see
this
beauty.
Due
to
proper
rains
in
the
winter
season
and
the
melting
of
snow,
the
lagoon
is
full
of
water
and
the
water
entering
the
lagoon
is
clean
and
flowing.
As
we
get
closer
to
the
summer
season,
the
volume
of
this
water
decreases
until
we
reach
the
rain
and
snow
season
again.
In
the
winter
season,
the
water
of
the
lagoon
does
not
freeze
and
you
can
witness
the
beautiful
scenery
of
the
snow-covered
lands
and
the
lagoon
full
of
water,
a
cold
lagoon
where
even
ducks
swim.
This
wetland
is
located
on
the
Shahid
Kalantari
highway
of
Urmia
and
in
a
village
with
the
same
name.
