Fantastic view. Soft sands are great for a ride with 4×4 vechile. But because from last year ATVs are forbidden, you can just enjoy this desert with proper cars.

Even if I went there New year's Eve and it's very crowded at a time but a bit far from crowd I found peace and silence of this astonishing and mysterious desert. They say Shahdad Kalut is the highest measured temperature on earth by around 72 degrea Celsius under the summer sun. Its landscape is special and gives a feeling that you are walking in a mysterious time and place which many things are going on that you don't know about them. I believe it was my best desert experience. It is also a good place for camping at night especially at Autumn or early Spring.

The best time to visit Kalouts is on the morning. Another thing is that there is an accommodation only 5 kilometeres from Kalouts which you can stay there. In my this is an amazing place in Iran. In the morning, you can enjoy camel riding.

The best experiences we had in Iran so far was going to Lut desert and Kalut parts with Hamid. He is very professional and kind and knows a lot about the desert and the surrounding area. We watched sunset there and it was great and Hamid planned everything well by bringing fruits and tea to enjoy the night eating on the carpet under the stars, which was amazing. The sky was full of stars and we could see milky way easily. At 5:00 Am, we woke up and saw a great sunrise on top of one hill and later on we had breakfast in the desert. We also visited some interesting places on our way back. I really recommend Hamid as a guide for Lut desert. His what's app is +989336270870

Kalouts desert is one of the most impressive natural places in Iran where you can see the amazing scenery of strange formations. You can see an old castle, egg hills, salty river and new formed lake. Camping during the night is peaceful especially when you look at stars. I can help you for Kalouts if you need a guide. My what's app number is: +989336270870
