We had a reservation . Unfortunately we couldn't make it that day but tye owner is a nice guy . We visited the place and he helped us find another place. Over all this place is awesome and very well decorated. The rooms are uniquely decorated and the fact that they are in caves with all modern facilities like hot running water, fridge TV kitchen, jakuzi etc makes it a top choice. Even locals have good say about hotels as its quality is maintained . My suggestion would be to book online or through the mobile no stated on location. Secondly keep a small bag for visit as you have to carry your own luggage on a rocky way so keep it light . You don't need anything other Than a sleeping suit as kitchen is well equipped. Try local honey and sweet and tea 🍵. Highly recommend the place.

A beautiful cave home. There is only one bedroom with a double bed. The living room has 3 sofa beds and a nice sitting area. The kitchen and toilets are clean and functional and the decorations around the house are beautiful. The main double bed was uncomfortable, the mattress had grooves which kinda annoys you when you sleep. No towel was provided. Breakfast was the poorest we had in Iran. It was one small hard boiled egg per person, some cold bread and honey. We had to brew our own coffee. The hotel is situated up a hill riding up or parking next to the hotel is not possible, but they have a garage. All in all, this hotel isn't really a hotel, it's a home so there's not much choice for different rooms. Also everyhing is mostly self service. It was a interesting experience but can be better.

In one sentence, this place was very accommodating and at the same time a great place to experience the real life of Kandovan living inside the rocks. We went to Kandovan late in March and were able to see the astounding mountains covered with snow all around. Upon arrival, we were treated by local Tabriz-Koftah for dinner made by Mr. Bahari's — the owner's — wife. He was very welcoming and helpful. He had made arrangements for having some locals to help us with carrying our baggages and stuff up to the suite. It was a ~2 minutes moderate climbing a narrow road to the suite that passed through the beautiful cone shape rocks. It was a little challenging to climb the road up as it was partly covered with thick ice but it was manageable since they were coated by sand and mud and they were not as slippery if your foot-wares have a fair grip. I personally assisted my old Father to get up there every time. However, it was totally worth it as it gave us the experience of locals commuting among the beautiful rocks and enjoying being in the middle of cone rocks. I later found out that Hotel Laleh — the biggest hotel in Kandovan — has so many stares (around 100 if not more) and is nowhere close to real daily life in Kandovan. My take was that our suite was the best one available with the same owner and my guess is that it was the best in the area. It had great amenities like like Jacuzzi and underground heating system which was crucial for winter time when the ground can be humid and cold inside the rocks. the Jacuzzi has only room for two people at a time but it was a nice perk. We were a group of about 10 people and were able to sleep with no real issues. Our only complain was that the pillows were too stiff :). There were a queen size bed in the bedroom and enough roll-overs for others to sleep on. The best part of the suit in my opinion was the barbecue next to the entrance. The second night was by far my best night in my entire stay in Iran with my beloved family. We bought chicken and lamb from local shops and barbecued them while it happened to snow and it was foggy too in the middle of cone rocks. OMG! It was an amazing experience! That said, being able to freely hangout outside the suit by the barbecue with music playing was a big advantage over Hotel Laleh I believe. When you get down there where you park your car, make sure you checkout the locals shops. They have local Honey, sun-dried Plums, and some handmade stuff. They also watch your car(s) when you are up in the suit so I recommend you treat them by buying some stuff from them. A word of advice: never miss Sahand restaurant's Lamb Chenjeh Kebab in Kandovan village. It’s the best! I hope I was able to share my experience here for other visitors. Overall, I highly recommend this place.

We came here for honey moon in summer 2019 and I’m very happy for our choosing. Very good hosts of Mr. Bahari. They served us special free lunch with traditional meal. Very humble and kind. Couldn’t be better than this. Living in the real historical houses in the hearts of mountains.

I had a two week tour with my Portuguese tourists in North , West and North-west of Iran and among all the hotels they stayed, they liked this one the most.

A beautiful historical cave home. There is only one bedroom with a double bed and closet and dresser . The living room that is well furnited with traditional items. The kitchen and bathroom and jacuzzi are all clean and functional. There is a little place as terrace at front of the cave and its again furnited and got a barbecue. I would say its an awesome place to stay in.

We chose this beautiful unit for our first post-wedding trip, which the Iranians call this Mah-e Ásal as -> honeymoon. The hotel owner's kindness and kindness and his tips for suggesting tourist sites were very nice.
