We stayed at the Best Western Konak for 3 nights. Arrived without booking and had a good welcome, location is amazing, rooms are spacious and clean, breakfast was decent, staff friendly and helpful. Special thank you to Firat who gave us great tip on places to see and always helpful with information and assistance. Our only set back was that the air condition in the room was not working properly or to put it more accurately it was set at a central setting - with the switching of the air conditioned controlled at the reception?? Anyway it was not conducive for our needs. I thought that was bizarre enough for a hotel which probably has customers from all walks with different needs - taking it a notch up, when we questioned why it was so, they questioned us back as to where are we from? (Totally irrelevant I think) either that or a reminder that we were checking out the next day!

Sad experience. It took the reception staff 30 minutes to do a check in. An additional charge was levied for the sea facing room on the 7th floor for us to have a king size bed. The bed was however a queen with the incorrect linen. The flat sheet did not fit the bed and there was no other linen to speak of. Very little staff members understood or could speak English, which in this day and age is rather sad in the hospitality industry. The restaurant had a small selection of overpriced wines. We ordered a mix-kebab and it was tasty and well presented, and decently priced. The gentleman servicing us was pleasant and could speak some English. The hotel is close to the bazaar where you will find an array of original copies ( not fake according to the salesmen ) raging from Hugo Boss and Puma to Louis Vuitton. The hotel is closely situated to the tram which will give you access to some of the shopping areas. Although some positives, i won't recommend staying there.

Nice clean, room size is better than other hotels. You need a car if you want to stay in it

Best location for old bazar lovers. Very friendly staff, specially Bahar, the smiling and helpful lady at the reception. Great food, and surrounded by all services.

Terrible terrible experience. 1) They don't speak english at all, although they have the American and British flags outside, they couldn't book us a transfer from the hotel to the airport. They couldn't understand basic instructions like booking an early breakfast. I've tried using a google translator from english to Turkish but they couldn't understand either. 2) They are rude, they don't welcome you to the hotel and also they only speak to men. My wife spoke to them and they didn't reply. We are in 2022, I don't care which religion, or culture are you from, you need to treat us equally. We are guests. 3) I have to ask 4 times to be changed to a new room because every room was smelling like rotten eggs. They accepted this in a bad way. Even this last room smell like sewers but we didn't complain because we were already tired. 4) They throw parties in the middle of the week so you can hear all the music from your room. 5) They charged us in advance although we always book to pay at the hotel.

The staff did not help with anything. They can’t provide with a plug. Fair enough but after the food and room service for food isn’t offered at 11pm I decided to order. I asked the address and so on and they said they will call our room when it is here. The manager left knowing when our order was going to come and did not tell the staff when called by the current manager he took no accountability and said what can I do ?? After midnight restaurants are closed so we are going to sleep hungry. Pathetic. 0 remorse and than laughing on the phone to each other. Poor poor management team

Room was clean and tidy and location wasn’t bad at all. All staffs were so nice and very helpful! Especially, Firat was so kind and willing to help me and my dad. He even helped us to book a bus ticket. I won’t forget his kindness !! Thank you everyone and I will come back to the hotel when I come back to Izmir!

Great location, great sea views. Great for families. We booked the 9th floor big corner room, it was nice. 4 stars is because of some malfunctions in the bathrooms, and because the cleaning could be better, but it was OK. Breakfast is varied, lots of seating options. You do get what you paid for.

It is a good hotel, but I sense feelings of racism from the receptionist. He was showing me sympathy because I am from certain country. He was describing me how my country people is very poor, how they surviving that sorts of stereotypical story. Please respect guest as guest no need any stereotypes comment please any individual.

Our junior suite was good with a lovely sea view. The rate was cheaper online than in person. Breakfast is really bad. We asked for fire degas and we were told that we would have to pay extra. Location is good. The other rooms were small. All rooms smell of smoke even if it’s a non smoking room.

Good stop for business trip. Excellent price for value. Staff are very friendly and helpful, clean rooms, acceptable breakfast variety, good room service, nice view.

This was all but a good experience. The room was small, loud and not comfortable at all. All rooms seem to be smoking rooms - at least no non-smoking room was available and you could definitely smell that. The windows dont shut properly so you have the noise from the 6-lane street all around the clock. Sleeping comfortable was not possible in this hotel. Also the AC only works when you're in the room and is VERY loud. So if you want to have a cool room for the night you have to live with even more loud noise. The shower head was completely broken, water came out everywhere but where it was supposed to and on the second day the used towels were removed but not replaced! Also the towels had big holes in them. Overall it seemed to be clean but everything is worn down or broken. The elevator often stopped randomly for several seconds before going on, sometimes it also got to your floor just to move down again without opening the doors. It felt not save to use that elevator. On a positive note, the breakfast was good and the staff super friendly. It was not enough to make up for the bad experience though.

To cut things short; this is not a real 4 star hotel. Old rooms, no gym, beyond poor breakfast, average service ... Max it deserves is 3 star so if you'll choose because of price, think twice why ...

Reasonable rates, good location and great sea view. Was there for business for 1 night. Breakfast was acceptable, nothing to brag about.

Room was not bad, but the service wasn't too good. Two small waters, one coffee bag, one tea bag. That's it! Additional water, the front said 10 lira. Don't expect too much of house keeping. It's not far ftom metro station or bus stop, but under hot sun-shine it seemed far away.

The hotel staff are friendly. Professional and very helpful. My room has an Aegean view. The building is lovely and well kept. Covid practices are followed, the kitchen makes wonderful food and the price is good. The only slight drawbacks are many staff have very limited or no English and the wifi is slow and spotty but those are little things. I recommend this hotel

We stayed in Best Western for around 5 days and I must say it was not value for money. We liked the quality of food in the restaurant and cleanleness in the room and hotel overall. The staff at the restaurant and cleaning staff was extremely nice and helpful. Unfortunately, I cannot say the same about front office. Many times we asked them to change our room due to : shower and ventilation problem and floor preference. On what we were getting the same answer every day: "come in the evening", simply because staff cannot properly communicate in English. The funniest part was: when they could not express themselves in English , they simply were getting irritated and nervous which definitely didn't make us feel comfortable. The shower problem made our stay very displeasing as while taking shower you could easily burn yourself cuz all of a sudden from warm and pleasant water it was turning to extremely hot. Thus we could not take proper shower with such a "water game". In our room the AC didn't function: instead of having cool and pleasant air our room was heated up. The last part is breakfast, which frankly speaking didn't have much variety and was very basic and plain for 4 star hotel.

Our rooms were very tiny but comfortable. Best cheeseburger I had on my trip! Be sure to ask for bun lightly toasted. Breakfast in the morning was also good. Not a lot of extra amenities but a good clean place to stay.!

Great Service , friendly personnel. During my short stay I had booked the junior suite. It comes with a double bed, a bathroom with bathtub and the usual things. It close to the Centre and offers a great view. The hotel itself is located directly next to the street but the the noise isolation is good and you shouldn't be bothered. Thefere you have ( if you book the see view site) a great view to the sea and to Karsiyaka.

The staff was nice and the room was clean. We were a bit unlucky with our tiny room (210). We could hardly place our luggage anywhere without stumbling over it. Also we couldn't open the glass door (our only window) to let in fresh air. But we know that there are way better rooms in the same hotel. Breakfast could also have been better. The warm food wasn't kept warm for long.

Good hotel for business needs. However, it may not be good for vacation because it is a bit far to attractions.

I chose this hotel because of the view from the room was great. I could see sunset from my room. The room has beautiful ocean view. Location is great, metro and bus stations, cafe, restaurants, shops are walking distance. Hotel stuff are very nice and friendly. Breakfast is tasty. Wifi works very well. The room was not big, but everything I need was there. Well designed room. Also clean and comfortable bed. I would love to come back here again ;)
