The facility is clean and the people I have interacted with while there (in person) have been pleasant and friendly. HOWEVER, they do not properly code when submitting claims to your insurance company. I have spent the last 6+ months trying to correct a claim they submitted. After calling them AT LEAST 5 times and being passed around to all different "departments," I was told the information would be corrected and sent to my insurance. I realized the information was never sent after discovering ANOTHER claim was also submitted incorrectly. When you call they either don't answer the phone or they will put you on hold until you give up and hang up and if you try to call back they forward you to their voicemail repeatedly. If by any chance you do get someone on the phone, they will talk over you, interrupt you, and repeatedly remind you they can't help you. After trying to call another 7 times now (not even exaggerating), they have asked me to come to the office and drop off copies of the printed claims... Avoid this place unless you're looking for a massive headache or potentially being robbed of a significant amount of money.

the physician i worked with was extremely nice and helpful. being in the office was pleasant and quick. it's when you leave the office and need paperwork, results, or have a question that the problems arise. they do not answer when you call, they do not call you back when you leave several messages, they say they'll call you with the things you need (if they ever answer) but they do not actually follow up. not to share too much info but it's actually scary to me that i am not getting the paperwork i need from them in order to get a screening for a mammogram and ultrasound. concerned for other patients who also aren't getting the proper documentation for these procedures that could be life saving. scary sh!t

While the medical care I have received from this location has been great, the billing has been an absolute nightmare. This is an in network provider and I have a high deductible health insurance plan. During my second visit, I was made to pay $1,200 upfront for an ultrasound before my visit. This is a rate decided by the provider and not by my insurance company. I expressed concern that this was highly unusual for an in network provider to do. Especially since my first visit went normally - they took my insurance information, charged my insurance company and then my insurance company sent me an explanation of benefits. JCMC then submitted a claim for my second visit to insurance and the explanation of benefits show I owe only $18, not the $1,200 I was charged upfront. Now I’m fighting to get my money back but the billing department has made a whole mess of things - they slyly put two different account numbers for me for the initial and the second visit so they say they don’t see the massive credit on my account. Refuse to pay upfront at this place. Charging the patient as if they don’t have insurance and charging their insurance company simultaneously and taking over 60 days to refund the client is unacceptable at best, illegal at worst.

I was charged $700 for an anatomy scan. I feel so ripped off by this place. First, I was not informed that this particular scan was not covered by insurance, even though it's the most important scan of the pregnancy. The technician was cold and almost bothered by questions I made during the scan. When she was done she informed me that the baby was in a position where she couldn't see some parts and that I needed to schedule another scan. The doctor there said the same thing. I asked if I could just move around a little or eat something to have the baby move, they said no. I pushed for that 3 times, until I had no choice but to make another appointment. It wasn't until weeks that I received the bills, 2 for the scan, and 2 for the doctor adding up to $700. I called their billing department as well as the imaging department and tried to have someone help me sort it out, but long story short they send my case to a collection agency. I had to choice but to pay. I fell like it's almost a scam that they have in place, where the technician and the doctor have the script of making pregnant women go back for a second scan so they can charge them twice.

The ultrasound place for this facility is hell. They don’t care about the pt. They make you wait for so long. My appointment was 7:30 am and they made me wait an hour later for my ultrasound. They cancelled one of my appointments in a short notice and expected me to come back the next day. Just horrible

Extremely unprofessional!!! Literally waiting an the exam room and overheard NOT only the staff (Secretaries) but doctor make fun of the reason why I was there. MAJOR HIPAA violation. Being a JCMC employee I would expect better than the service that was provided today. NEVER will I go here again and or recommend anyone.

***Edit I added 1 star because the office did get back to me eventually.*** As another review said these lapses in care on their part is annoying at best potentially dangerous for patients at worst. I saw Dr Cibulsky on the 2nd of November for help with testing. It’s now the 18th two weeks later with no results. I have reached out to them by phone with Kathy who was actually really nice and told me she would follow up with his nurse Elizabeth. I even tried messaging Dr. Cibulsky himself through their MyChart portal with no response from him too which is disappointing. Ultimately it’s faster for me to take the path to the city to a clinic for rapid testing. It just makes me sad because I wanted to find an ObGYN that I felt comfortable staying with especially since I have had my baby here but I think I’ll keep searching for a GYN and stick with my pcp or a clinic for testing. Wait time can also be long which would be fine if you got results and could get follow up when needed but if you want personalized care I don’t believe this is the place for you. Overall this place is okay; nothing more, nothing less.

The wait time is ridiculous !! Poor time management. Perhaps the company should schedule less appointments. The waiting room RESTROOM was disgusting a couple of times. There is no GRACE period if ur LATE…. The Best Sonographer is Chirisaina. She explains everything in detail, and she is GENTLE. Sincerely Mrs Martin

Dr Rossen is a decent and sweet doc. But the facility actually gave me mental stress. The staff treats pregnant women as if they are a bunch of threatening goons and needed to kept under control. I visit 3 differeNt doctors office as i am high risk and had a change of insurance after jan. All the offices Understood that at times insurance can have technical delays except the ultrasound place. They asked me to leave and it wasnt even my first time there. They have my card and all My information from before yet rather than suggesting an alternative way, they called me liar and when I broke down crying, the manager said if i ever pull such a stunt again i wont be provided any service. All they had to do was ask me to pay for this service upfront but rather than suggesting they mistreated me and dint even believe when i showed them my call records of already speaking to one of them over call. This isnt even an isolated incident i always have to pay extra and still havent received my money. Every time i go one or the other staff is rude for no reason. Its such a happy moment to see your child but the reception area just makes me so stressful. If it wasnt for the doctor i would have never returned to this place.

PLEASE READ: My private information was leaked to someone who did not have permission. This person is dangerous and his best friends mom works at this office. Now he knows information I expressed I did NOT want him knowing and this happened more than once. You should feel safe when being checked out and I wanted to leave this location but for health reasons I chose to stay as I knew the techs and doctor here are amazing. The manager is great, the staff with the exception of this person is great, but now I'm scared for my family and me because now I know that important information that is meant to stay private has now been distributed to the only person who's threatened my safety.

Although I liked the Dr I saw, my experience with the staff and practice in general was pretty bad. The staff is rude and have no empathy. It’s almost impossible to get someone on the phone. What if a patient has an urgent need or question? The lack of response has been over several months, not just a one time instance. I tried over several days and at different times months apart with the same result - no one answers the phone. I finally left a message saying I need to cancel an appointment and please call me back. No call back but less than a minute later I got a notification on my portal my appointment was cancelled so they clearly screen the calls or something. No call back for a pregnant patient is also shocking to me. For all they know I needed help but guess the bare minimum was good enough. Being pregnant it’s important to my husband and I to find a practice that will support us and all this practice did was give me anxiety. I have since found a wonderful practice that actually answers the phone and without the bad attitudes.

They put someone else’s urine results on my chart ... I know they were not my results because I did not leave urine that day. I had to call multiple times and leave portal messages for them to notice. They told me they could not remove it from my chart because my provider already signed off on it but they could leave a note at the bottom that the results are not mine… There have been at least 3 more errors/mistakes since. It’s caused so much stress for me and uncertainty during my pregnancy. Every time I called, I would either be sent to voicemail, put on hold for 40+ mins or have to explain my situation to multiple people to get answers/support. There was only one staff member who seemed to actually care. I really wanted to like this place. The providers are nice but overall, the department makes too many errors that go against patient safety and HIPPA.

I would think being associated with Robert wood Johnson they would care a little bit more about scheduling their high-risk patients accordingly.. Ive been waiting for OVER A MONTH for “marisol” to schedule me. Whenever I call she’s the ONLY person that can schedule me. Went in person and she was in a meeting. Unfortunately my awesome doctor works with them and would rather me be seen by them .. but it’s time I look for another location that truly cares for their high risk patients.

My wife and I have always been very happy with this place. I couldn’t go to any appointments with our first kid, due to covid which makes sense. Now with our second kid the OB office on the second floor let us bring our daughter to appointments. The ultrasound office on the top floor said kids are not allowed. They said that they are different companies, they both advertise as RWJ Women’s Health. This policy assumes everyone has childcare. It should be looked at and changed as it discriminates against single parents, low socioeconomic parents and parents with minimal/no social support.

I love coming to this women center facility ! This is my Third pregnancy (which I’ve come here for my last 2 pregnancies) the experience has been amazing ! Having a high risk pregnancy this time around has been tough , but I must say that the doctors and nurses has done everything to assure me that it’ll be fine. Stephanie (the sonogramer) has been AMAZING as well! Very patient with the baby, and informs me with w.e she sees on the screen. Monica, the nurse, is also very helpful patient when I get the NST done. I appreciate this place as well as each staff that makes it a very warming place !

Great service from Monica and Lisa, registration staff and techs, they are all very nice people here and they don’t take very long to see you. I always arrive a little early just in case there is a wait and I’m always seen earlier than my time which I love. Thank you to all the staff here.

So far did NT with Stephanie. She is sweet, and so is Dr. Chau. In the office, it makes u feel really happy and everyone here is professional and friendly. The report/ test results are easily accessible via MyChat app. But! Make sure you make an appointment before you leave the office. Cause it is annoying when you try to make an appointment via phone call, which is a looooong wait. Besides that, everything works perfectly.

I was a first time patient, going in for an annual check up. I was seen by Nurse Midwife Lawson, she was beyond wonderful, kind, knowledgeable and walked me through all questions and concerns. The facility was clean and all the staff were pleasant and helpful. I’m grateful to have found this place for all my reproductive health needs.

The Doctor was good but the staff whom , deal with the phones as well messages for the doctors are terrible . I call for concerns on my health and they just brush me off I call and they won’t answer. I have to call From another number in order to get my called answer. Very disappointed definitely looking for a new Obgyn, who cam handle my matter because these people apparently don’t call . Need to better !!!

I used to like this office but now there are only midwives and one doctor. Dr. Hu, who has no idea what he talking about. He is a doctor who would tell a patient to take pain medications all the time. That is why young people are becoming addicted to the pain medications because some doctors like Dr. Hu don't know anything about health. My daughter and I, we are not going back to this practice.

I had a very good experience with Dr. Rosen, Nurse Aurora and the office staff. Everyone in the office is polite, extremely friendly and very professional. I had a very complicated (high risk) pregnancy, but Dr. Rosen helped me through it. His experience help me navigate through one medical hurdle after another, but more than that it was his calming demeanor that helped me get through my pregnancy with my sanity intact through a very stressful time! My baby's growth was mapping at under 1 percentile and a normal delivery seemed impossible. Even with Murphy's law at play through the entire journey we had a normal delivery and had a healthy baby.

This review is not a reflection on Dr. Patricia Chau, whom I respect dearly. Office staff is inefficient and disrespectful of patients' time. I called to inquire about my test results and was placed on hold for 30+ minutes while Kathy tried to reach Dr. Chau. I understand that medical offices are busy, but it is your responsibility to inform the patients you left waiting on the phone. After explaining to multiple office persons that Kathy placed me on hold without any word of what's going on, they insisted that "it's not [Kathy's] fault," and that "Dr. Chau could not be reached." I again stated that I would have understood if Kathy, someone, anyone had communicated this to me during the wait time. When asked about the next best steps to reach Dr. Chau, what solution was offered to me? Yes, folks. This person again placed me on hold until I lost my patience and disconnected the call. Total call time: 40 minutes. Solution: zero. Dr. Chau, if you're reading, I'd really love to continue seeing you because you know your stuff and have excellent bedside manners. But how do I avoid the incompetent staff that neither you nor your patients deserve?

I give the highest recommendation for our sonographer, Stephanie. She took the greatest care and time during my 16 week anatomy scan. Even though there were some challenges in getting the best and clearest pictures, she remained patient and kept trying. She also explained what each image we were seeing on the screen and educated us on the different terminologies used in these scans. Overall, I definitely would want Stephanie to do my future ultrasounds if she is available! She just gave such an exceptional service to us!

From the minute, I walked into the Women's Health ultrasound Center, I was so beyond pleased. I was greeted with friendly warm smiles. Latwanna was the woman who registered me she was so patient with me. She made me feel so special. I am so grateful for this great experience that I will be sharing with other expecting moms and people in my community. Cathy who was the front desk assisted me in a timely manner, she also was so courteous to schedule my follow up in 2 weeks. Last but not least Christina who was our Sonographer for our ultrasound pictures. She takes her job very serious and I love that about her. She is a dedicated, hardworking woman who loves what she does. She is blessed with patience. She allowed me to have a memorable amazing experience that I will forever share and cherish for years to come. Thank you all so much at RWJBarnabas Health/ Jersey City Medical Center. If you are pregnant and want to use this facility for ultrasound purpose, then AVOID AVOID AVOID IT. You will face the most inhumane treatment by the individual at the reception and by the individual who does the ultrasound. Such behavior will have an impact on the baby. I wonder if the individuals that work there ever understand the state of a pregnant woman. please please avoid

The experience here as a first time mom/parent, has been overall great. The one very frustrating aspect is the wait time. Regardless of scheduled appointments we have always had to wait at least 45mins to be seen. The longest we’ve waited was about an 1hr 30mins. Some, but not all, of the staff have friendly demeanors and are sympathetic to frustrated patients who have been waiting for a long period of time. The sonographers I’d like to mention are Christina and Monica. They’re very friendly, will talk you through the ultrasound, and answer any questions they can. This was super important to me as a first time mom since I had no idea what I was looking at or what to expect. At every appointment I always request to be seen by one of them risking waiting a little longer because of their patience with all of my questions and the additional insight they always provide.

Probably one of the most underrated places I have seen on Google Maps: my wife had a wonderful experience at this place throughout the 9 months of her pregnancy... I went to the appointments several times with her, and noticed nothing but cleanliness, competence and professionalism (but my wife can confirm the same). I understand that there were times we had to wait more than expected (maybe 40 mins) while waiting to be seen, but we had been warned beforehand when certain appts. may take longer than others (and more than once, they were actually done earlier than expected, so that also needs to be acknowledged).

My husband and I had a great experience with the Women’s Health Center throughout my pregnancy. We were seen on the regular OB floor and the Maternal Fetal medicine floor. I always felt that the doctors, nurses, and sonographers were thorough, thoughtful, and attentive. We met all the doctors on staff throughout the pregnancy and only have good things to say about them. My nurse, Monica, on the third floor was amazing. I ended up seeing her twice weekly by the end of my pregnancy and she was always a ray of sunshine.

The ultrasound area has overbearing staff with no education and they treat patients poorly, Joanna, if you don't like leaving your job, leave it but don't take your frustration out on patients, they should take human rights classes. incompetent and unprofessional

Dr. Roth is the best, great communication. Even when getting not so great news, he was great with the delivery. Will be using this facility in the future, the rest of the staff is very friendly as well. I can see that the check out area could be a bit more organized and prompt, but also seemed understaffed. Would recommend.

Super clean and convenient facility located right off the Grove St path train. I saw midwife Deanna for my annual visit who referred me to Dr. Slutsky for preconception genetic testing. Both were professional and kind and gave me lots of information. Only waited 10 min in waiting room.

I absolutely lovvved my pregnancy experience here!! To make it short, I had a high-risk pregnancy & during each stay, the staff made sure I was comfortable and always seen on time. Wait time is not bad at all. Each member I've come across has treated me + other women in the waiting room with their time and respect. They encourage you arrive early -- approx. 30 minutes before your scheduled appointment time -- and I haven't had not one issue. If anything, I messed up a few times & they were still able to accommodate me! :) The staff is welcoming & truly genuine. I would like to give a huge thanks to my US Nurse Monica and Lisa Marchese, who assisted me with the Electronic Fetal Heart Rate Monitoring tests weekly.. Awesome communication, reliable, & just so sweet & down-to-earth... She just has a heart of gold. My babygirl is now almost two months old. A biggg THANK YOU to everyone!

I gave birth to my son here, couldn't have had a better experience! They lay the baby on your chest immediately after birth and really encourage nursing. Very bad experience with this clinic. Arrived at appointment time but still need to wait another half an hour to be called. When you want to transfer out, it would take 2 weeks to get your medical records.

Listed as in-network in our insurance, but after two months of calling, managing to get through and leaving requests for an appointment five times, they don't return phone calls. They don't even answer the phone 80% of the time. If the life of your child is on the line, avoid this clinic at all costs. They're worthless.

This office almost killed my baby. I was referred to the high risk Clinc (Dr. Walker) by my regular ob due to some medical issues. On my last appt 9/28 during NST every time I contracted my baby heart rate would dip into the 70’s. The nurses, residence and ultimately the Dr. brushed it off as it was nothing and said I needed to “change position”. I left the clinic with instructions from Dr. Walker to be induced the following week but the next day I started having contractions every 5-6 mins. So I went to JCMC and again while I was on the monitor my babies heart rate begin to dip when I contracted. The same residence that I saw at the high risk clinic (Dr.Noelle) was at the hospital and said I was fine and could go home. I voiced my opposition and said my body does not feel right it’s something wrong this baby needs to come out. They act like I was crazy and my worries fell on death ears. To make a long story short I went to Hackensack Hospital after my water broke 24 hours later and my baby Umbilical Cord was Wrapped around his NECK. That is why his heart rate was dipping the whole time and no one in the clinic nor the hospital notice. Which I cannot understand how?! If my body didn’t go into natural labor and I would’ve waited for my “induction” my baby would’ve of been Still Born. If you are high risk please go to another clinic even if it’s in another town. To put icing on the cake the office manager Lisa calls me two days later after going through a traumatic delivery and rudely tries to chastise me for having my baby at Hackensack hospital. Telling me they would not follow up with my care because I had my baby at another hospital. Why would I ever want to go back there after they almost killed my baby??!!
