Curio Espresso and Vintage Design Cafe is simply amazing and is definitely worth the visit if you are in Kanazawa. The cafe/restaurant is beautifully decorated, spacious and has a relaxing atmosphere to it - perfect for enjoying a coffee or meal. It’s also very clean and well maintained. The staff are very nice and accommodating - service with a smile. The cafe is English friendly and they also have an English menu available. Everything on the menu is wonderful. Ordered the pulled pork sandwich with chilli sauce, cheese and red onions, which was delicious. The bun was toasted to perfection. Also ordered the chicken salad wrap, which was equally delicious. All the ingredients were fresh and of high quality. They have an extensive selection of coffees/coffee drinks to choose from and offer daily specials. You can also order teas, juices and other beverages. They also have Covid safety measures in place, which was most appreciated. The next time you are in Kanazawa, I recommend you stopping by Curio Espresso and Vintage Design Cafe for a great coffee or meal experience - you’ll be happy you’d stopped by. Enjoy 😊

The coffee is perfection, the soup is fabulous, and the pulled pork sandwich (with a hint of chili) is amazing!!! And the historic atmosphere is whimsically creative! Well done! 😋👍

The pita was amazing and the service very friendly! Curio is located close to the train station and good stop to have a break when walking toward the center of the city.

This is a very busy coffee shop that is often packed with people and a long wait. Luckily our hotel is nearby so we went just a bit right after they opened, and were able to sit down. I ordered a chai latte and pulled pork sandwich. Tasted great and recommend them both. They have an English menu and one of the waiters speaks English. They also switch their waiter depending on if they think you speak English or Japanese.

The coffee is of good quality with unique flavour and strong caffeine content. Hand crafted specialty brews. Owner is friendly and the cafe is cozy. We went there twice consecutively 2 days to get their coffee and food. I like their croissant and breakfast dishes. The Greek wrap was delicious with fresh ingredients.

Lovely place for coffee and (vegetarian/vegan) food in Kanazawa. The coffee was very good and the food yummy. As it was quite cold outside and rainy the temperatures inside the cafe could have been a little warmer! Would highly recommend going here.

I enjoyed my visit here for breakfast as the service was great and vibes of the cafe were unique. The owners are from Seattle so they speak English perfectly. We had a brief conversation with him about the cameras he has and all the other vintage things. Coffee was great 😌 we got the greek chicken sandwich and the veggie sandwich and we liked it. 😊

Perfect little café in a good location. The staff here are extremely attentive and friendly; some of nicest table service we've had since coming to Japan. The food was a fresh change to the Japanese food we've been frequently eating. The portions weren't the largest, however they were seemed high quality. If we're ever back in Kanazawa, we'd happily return.

Very friendly staff and a very nice cafe. The pulled pork sandwich was one of the best I’ve ever had! Bread was perfect and pork was delicious. Had an espresso as well which was fantastic!

A small cafe along omotesando serving simple food and drinks. I ordered a flat white and my friend ordered a matcha latte. I prefer coffee with more bitter taste but not too roasted, this one tasted too roasted for my liking. Matcha latte does not have strong matcha taste. Service is prompt and warm, the place is cosy and nice.

An American-Japanese couple offers the perfect blended cafe to meet anyone's desires. Great coffee and food with conversation in English or Japanese.

I visited Curio one day after Christmas Day since I stayed in Kanazawa for a few days. Maybe it was because during the holiday season, it was really slow, cozy and warm with pretty Christmas decorations. I had flat white, then I realized it wasn’t my taste because I normally have espresso drinks with specialty coffee. Their espresso is more traditional, close to Italian style, dark and bold. However, the barista lifted it up with his steaming skills. The steamed milk was silky, smooth and creamy. They warmed up a slice of banana loaf when it was served. The taste and the crunchiness of walnut in it reminded me of my life in North America. Loved it!

Some of the best coffee I’ve ever had in Japan. The specialty drinks are nuanced and more than just a latte with a few squirts of flavored syrup, take for example the cinnamon latte that is slightly sweet and spicy and worlds better than anything you’ll get at Starbucks. Heads up that it’s cash only. Staff speaks English fluently.

We had Irish Latte and White Velvet Latte, both of which were delicious. I would recommend visiting this cafe because of the atmosphere and the cafe design.

Really lovely cafe. The regular drip coffee was strong, highly recommend it. The chai latte was also great. Great spot for a quick lunch. We had the pulled pork sandwich and the Greek chicken sandwich. I would go back for both. They also had vegetarians options on the menu. After lunch we ordered and affogato for dessert. It was fantastic! It was the creamiest ice cream.

Just what I needed to give stomach a break from the food overseas! Quaint little place, be careful, I missed it twice while trying to find it, but persistence pays off! Very pet friendly (a plus) and the food was great! Sorry, don't have a picture of my sandwich, it disappeared too fast... 😁

The coffee, pastries and food are all great! Especially the chili soup and the cinnamon latte are awesome. The staffs are so nice and friendly! It’s near Omicho market so I do recommend to stop by there for having a cup of coffee or lunch.

Excellent establishment with lovely English speaking staff! They special made us a ‘dirty matcha’ latte and I must say it’s the best latte I’ve had in Japan.

The staff is so polite. Service is fast. Very clean, airy place, with fewer tables which are distant from each other.

We tried veggie sandwich with extra melted cheese and it was so tasty. A couple is running the restaurant. Wife is Japanese and the husband is a foreigner. They were very friendly, both can speak perfect English and they also have an English menu.
