The rooms are infested with bedbugs, the whole hotel stinks and the staff does not take complaints seriously your c and not at all organised. The bathrooms have fungus in them which is very dangerous to human life and the whole hotel is wet with dampness, from the beds to the sofas in the rooms and lobby. I would not recommend this hotel AT ALL.

The rooms need a massive renovation in terms of ambiance and cleanliness. The toilets need vents and regular cleaning. Wiped the toilet seat and the wipe came out pale yellow 🤢would never recommend unless you have a very low budget.

Sick hotel, i Can easily conclude that they don't care about their customers and hospitality services. They just priorities money. Initially, they will agree on one amount and after checkout, they will ask for another amount. I really regret the days I spend there. I will recommend going to other hotels instead of this one. I would give it less than a 1, First we had problems with the booking but that was third party and they couldn’t find the booking on their system. Service was appalling, they were very slow. Ordered room service it took 40 minutes for blankets, iron took 1 hour after requesting it 3 times. Food was disgusting. Don’t get me started on the blankets, the sheets weren’t even sewn together they were normal blankets that had one sheet in front and one on the back. They smelt and made me, my mum and my sister itchy. We were supposed to stay 3 nights but stayed the one and checked out the next day. Barely slept as AC isn’t an ac it’s just air, can’t open windows or even go on balcony. Curtains were dirty and so was the bathroom. Me and my sister were very ill we woke up with blocked noses, itchy body. It’s outdated so don’t be fooled by the downstairs because this place is not better than a 1 star

WENT TO KILLAY RESTAURANT WITH MY COLLEAGUES, and witnessed the worst sitting arrangements, praying area and buffet system, almost suffocated to dead after sitting in the most congested area which is so called open air. Pathetic food and please do not visit with FAMILY because of the environment.

My family and I got the Executive rooms, which basically have all your essential needs. There were Hot showers, great breakfast, and a pretty nice room. Keep in mind though that you cannot order from outside and can only order from their restaurant within the hotel. Their menu is pretty expensive and the rooms can get pricy, but the food is pretty good so only book this hotel if it's within your budget.

This hotel needs a complete overhaul, and lacks most of hospitality norms. Locks with traditional keys that are chained with card to put on card slot for electric circuit to operate. Food quality needs to be improved as well. Ordered a burger as I reached late nights and that was very bad.

This hotel is worse experience for us. First day when we checked in the room phone is not working, fridge are not working, complain 5 time then some one coming next day to fix. Shower has no hot water, very old shower like 1950's. Room A/C is not work every day some day work some day not work. They charge me around $65 with no breakfast no service. Very disappointed to this hotel. Only best thing this hotel was location and room rest everything zero. Also beware they aren't allow outside food. Room cleaning staff was good.

The ambiance was good and private, overall experience was good and the service staff was professionall and friendly. One of the worst hotel in this price range. We'd booked double bed. *And we were served with baby beds. Poori raat yahee dar laga rha neeche na gir jaon. * Curtains full of dust. * whole hotel was full of smell. * no exhaust in washroom. Means this hotel lacks basis necessaries. Never ever book this hotel.

Executive room was too bad on 6rh floor. It was smell and suffocated. Then we stayed in deluxe on 3rd floor. Over all it was good except washroom had no ventilation. Sheets were being changed regularly but I guess the blanket or something was not giving a fresh feel. Breakfast time is too early

Wonderful hotel management i observed here in my 2 visit at Karachi. The best thing is the complementary breakfast which have a lot of menu list. Secondly, receptionist response is outstanding. Room are neat and clean but rates are little bit high. As per services, it's bearable. I strongly recommend to everyone. My guest from abroad stayed there this time for 2 days before that they stayed in this hotel for 15 days this is 3 star hotel but their room charges like 5 star, in suit room no electric cattle, no tea bag and sugar, no iron. It was one of the worst hotels I have ever stayed in Karachi. Even much cheaper hotels of Saddar are very clean and tidy, there was pungent smell in the rooms me and other colleagues were staying. Food quality was not good as well.

Hotel Mehran is of of the good places to stay in Karachi. I was there first time for a seminar. It was a good experience.

I stayed at Mehran Karachi for just one night on 24th Aug, 2020 on behalf of Shaukat Khanum Trust. . It was not a good experience. There is no such practice as welcome drinks or complimentary fruit basket. Just tall claims. Drains of wash hand basins and shower side are not fully operational. Corridors have wooden treatment which shall be a big hazard in case of fire. Feel suffocation in lifts as no ventilation system installed.

We found this hotel and booked 2 rooms. One for sleeping in and other room was for work. There we meet with our developers / team to work on our new CRM system and website. Unfortunately the internet was really slow. It wasn't working good. So we decided to go. The room was good.

The rooms are okish, but they aren't worth the money. The food is delicious, breakfast as well as the dinner but the staff isn't very quick with the service. And there is no warm water.

It’s nothing like they say on the website, rooms aren’t like they show in pics. Their wifi doesn’t work at all. Room have very old broken furniture bathrooms are dirty, sewerage lines are clogged in bathroom. There is no warm water in shower nor heat in the room, I got cold due to high AC which we couldn’t turn it off. It’s not worth the prize. To make a phone call you have to go out of your room because there are no signals. Had to pay extra for breakfast it’s so expensive and not worth a penny.

This place was clean, staff were friendly. The air conditioning was too cold requested 4 times to no avail. Of the three nights I stayed on the final night I got moved to a better room, however the shower pressure was a dribble, and it was too late to complaint, as I had an early morning flight back to London. What was good is the breakfast, room service, and cleaning staff. Hence, it's got a 3 star as oppose to the 2 star I would normally give.

They may claim 4-star rating but really they're a solid 3-star hotel. They have pool, gym and conference facilities. The roof top BBQ is called Killay and is better than decent. With 300+ rooms the 70s era built hotel tries to project a sindhi ethnic image based on Mehran name. It's location is its strongest sell as its close to both the commercial centre (Saddar) and the Financial centre (I. I. Chundrigar Road) with easy access to all parts of the city.

DONT BOOK THROUGH AND ONLINE SOURCE LIKE BOOKING.COM as the hotel management dont even know how to manage rooms booked through online sources , I booked rooms through booking.com and when I reached there they told me that there are no rooms available.Later they managed to give me room but kicked me out with my family during middle of the stay saying that they don't have any rooms available. Hotel stay is not worth the money , they are charging the same amount as that of PC and avari and their facilities and cleanliness is of 1 star hotel. Staff behaviour was very bad. Old furniture with cleanliness level of a 1 star hotel ,I will highly suggest you to go somewhere else with so much money they are charging. I'd have different opinion for them if their room's price is 60-70% less than what they have rightnow.

Good place to stay or to hold meetings. I was here to attend an official meeting. I liked this place, meeting room was large and spacious. Menu for lunch was also good, fresh and tasty. A lot of different cousines were served, from soup to desserts everything was delicious.

30Nov2021: Visited for reservation of rooms for some foreign guests. Found the hotel much improved. The Restaurant Manager Samson was very cordial and welcoming contrary to the Duty Manager Imran. The view from rooms is good. The gym needs to be upgraded. There is no swimming pool. However, lots to be done to improve the quality of washrooms and hospitality of staff. Wish them best of luck. The foreign guests checked in 09Dec2021 for 2 nights but checked out without spending 2nd night as the rooms had stinking smell, the Air-conditioner wasn't working properly, a lamp was broken. My mom is a crazy fan of Hotel Mehran right from 1980s when Neelam ghar used to air from here so decided to give her a surprise by arranging dinner on her 34th Wedding Anniversary at Killay BBQ. Rooftop was under renovation so they shifted it on ground floor. The ambience was quite nice with live music and quality interior. Staff was friendly and cooperative and service was also nice. Manager and all the senior faculty was also there to cater to the never ending demands of customers Coming to the food, i wouldn't say ke its the best in K town but surely one of the best. Sea food needs improvement but Desi food esp Beef Biryani, Mutton Qorma, White Chicken Karahi and Daal Channa* and Loki* were the show stoppers. Desserts are average apart from Gajar ka halwa which was delicious. Missed ice cream and tea which are available on demand (separate order) Overall highly recommended for family gatherings and vacations 👍

I booked a room for a friend of mine visiting for Canada for 14 days. The friend ended up leaving within 5 days because of the poor service. We specifically asked for two single beds in the room but they gave us a double. The hot water stopped working and it took a couple of hours for someone to simply come and have a look. The shower head broke the next day. However, all that said, it is in a central location and very secure. I would recommend only if you're on a tight budget and need a central location.

The most conveniently located hotel although it's not a 5 star hotel but the service is not less then any five star hotel, we are living with a family with 3 room for a month for my Son's wedding and we booked the Banquet hall and a dinner in their Killay bbq restaurant, what a fantastic taste and service specially by Mr Tahir Shah the Banquet Manager and Bobby I really appreciate them and their team and thank you to their General Manager Mr Yasir. I absolutely hate this hotel. We placed an reservation for a buffet on the rooftop and when we got their turns out they gave our table away. The staff tried their best to get us a table but they couldn't and we were then forced to head to another restaurant and we were 1 hour late to iftar. That is so much inconvenience. This also means I can't enjoy something proper with my children I am not complaining to the hotel higher ranks because the staff can lose their job but I don't blame the staff either someone else used the name we used for our order and got our seat and we while placing the reservation the employee was so ignorant when I asked them the table number they said the reservation has been placed and hung up. it may be that the employee never placed it.

though the hotel is good even then i am giving them 2 star, and that is for their ac , which was not good at all , tempeture was un bearable and i was literally sweating,despite my two complains ,no one take any action, i also asked for pedestal fan ,same was also not provided, i am writing this review in sitting room No 527 (date 04th May,2023) which is on delux floor, so just imagine the other rooms temperature,people who need chill room should check some other hotels as this hotel provided one ac duct in every room without temperature controlling unit so neither you can reduce nor increase temperature my stay was very uncomfortable and that is only because of their ac and staff non professional behaviour

I went for Iftar buffet 2023. The food was ok. Initially it was clean but as the buffet progressed it got dirtier and there was no cleaning process. The tables were also not paid attention to. I think they were understaffed for the occasion.

They should upgrade with time and make regular deep cleaning. Everytime, there is some issue with the room. The management however is cooperative.

Breakfast was great. Buffet dinner was just everage. shuttle service is also brilliant. Room furniture is old and needs maintenance. Matrices also need attention. There was permanent smell in the AC air. However AC was working properly and i enjoyed the cool room. Remote control of the TV was broken and i have to shake it or hit it before use. Over all experience is good. Just they need to attend some areas and small details. Location is judt awesome.

We've had dinner buffets at Mehran hotel both at Kanwal restaurant and Killay restaurant. Kanwal restaurant dinner buffet was okayish, some dishes were good but options were limited as compared to the prices. Experience at Killay restaurant was good. Other than the restaurant food, their hotel service is poor. We went there to book a room for exam and all we asked for was an uninterrupted internet supply. They clearly refused they can't arrange any such room and would rather charge 20k extra for setting an uninterrupted supply for room. Thumbs down for this.

Although i did not stay in room for a night in this hotel, but yes i managed reservations and visited so many times when my office colleagues stays here when they come from their base station. It is a very good hotel in reasonable prices, good peaceful location, the main hub of shopping called "Saddar" its little near from hotel location. Rooms are clean and with a good space in it, a little bit complaints about their slow service for sometimes.

AC is not good, you have no control over your AC as it is controlled from a central room and you cannot lower the temperature of your room, even if you are sweating. Complaining it won't help either. You cannot bring food from outside and the food inside is very expensive. A single plate of Biryani will cost you 1600 Rs and a liter water will cost you Rs. 1000.
