The worst experience ever had in this hospital, I came from Oman for delivery of baby recommended by the consultant. On reservation they charged me 135000 PKR, once c section done for my wife she and the new born immediately transferred to room with premier package in full private room. Hygiene situation of the staff and the doctors was very bad, on duty doctor not response and having attitude problems, such kind people should not be in this profession. I made 100 of complain but no action taken its better to go to Jinnah hospital and save your money the pay money in OMI

We took our father in emergency when he had a stroke and his right side paralyzed, neurophysician wasn't available there, they had 2 but one went for hajj, and other one was on leave. ER DR. consult her on phone and she refer to GP, they could have outsource a doctor or refer out our father, but they didn't. Floor coordinator was rude when I asked regarding neuro dr. availability next they. My father could be treated well but they wasted time. They did CT immediately and haven't take any emergency action. Its a duty of nurse to make sure patient took medics timely or not. but nurses handed over medics to attendent and ask them to give it to patient. Staff even respond after several calls. And hygiene... that was awesome... there were cockroaches beneath my father's bed. Not recommended at all. No doubt, Dr. razzak memon was very polite and understanding doctor ... but overall experience wasn't remarkable.

Good doctors available for better care but it's a very expensive hospital for private patients. There is a serious issue of car parking as well. Staff needs to be more polite and efficient. I give 3.5 star

Very bad services. I had gallbladder surgery today I am fasting since yesterday 9 am and its again 9 am next day abd they did not provide patient first meal. upon asking the staff they said there is not meal in your package. I was astonished my package is 110,000/- and they are saying this do not include patient's meal???. Apart from that I had to call nursing staff myself if I am in pain. No duty Dr came to see me whole night. She also visited me upon my request. Very disappointed with the service I would not recommend anyone to go for any procedure here. Strongly discourage OMI hospital.

Orthopaedic and Medical Institute. Private, hygienic but such an expensive hospital. They charge almost 4xtimes higher. Simple example is my recent wrist fracture that other hospital cost me 1000/- for the plaster and OMI plaster service is 8000/-. That just too high

I had an extremely unsatisfactory encounter at OMI Hospital, where the staff demonstrated a complete lack of integrity. Shockingly, they demanded an exorbitant fee of 5500 for a basic drip, and to make matters worse, they prescribed me the wrong medication. It is with great urgency that I implore you to stay far away from these unethical individuals and safeguard yourself from their deceitful schemes. Your well-being deserves better, so I encourage you to explore alternative healthcare options that prioritize honesty and professionalism.

Centrally located.nice building.decent staff good security and hygienic by pakistani standard.doctors mostly good but bossy.nursing and paramedics good by local standard but low by international standard.very expensive and overpriced services.almost same cost as western countries or singapore but one fifth the standard and one third the outcome of treatment. If you are rich and in karachi then this is one of the few choices.how unfortunate citizens of this city are?

Worst hospital, behaviour of staff frustrating, secrecy of medical reports during admission time for charging to continue and avoid discharge. Behaviour of staff and doctors is very rude in in-patient department. There is no co-ordination between staff and doctors. The language of doctors is worst and they won't talk with you regarding patient conditions. Admission formalities are about one hour until patient gets exausted. They keep dictated policies which they won't give you in written. They will ask you so many signatures on various pro-hospital form but they will not give any receiving on document submitted by you rather say you can leave hospital if you don't agree. NMC is very good in contrast, as they provide online portal where you can download lab reports online easily.

Had very bad experience with this hospital, I have tried to get the details for a doctor and the person behind their official phone number was way to I'll mannered ! Upon my confirmation that is it Omi he said yes and then I have asked for the doctor he simply kept me on hold for a never ending wait. Really very bad and shameful act !

This hospital need serious introspection. In emergency at 10.35 and it's over an hour the inefficient staff in emergency is writing the reports of patients like it's their PhD thesis. They don't have value for others time.

*this review is for the OMI cardiovascular unit* Visited the OMI cardiovascular clinic through referral for Dr Nadeem Hassan Rizvi. The cardiovascular unit is well staffed, very nice nurses, very good doctors and cardiologists, the team in this unit is very caring and professional. My family member was in a private room with a washroom, with constant attention from the staff. The entire stay of four days was pleasant and any minor issues were sorted out immediately by the team (we had a loud family next to us, the nurses got them quiet immediately). The facilities were very clean, with attention paid to patient care and overall cleanliness by the staff in this unit. For anyone needing private cardiologists services in Karachi, I would recommend this doctor, his team and this unit over the other bigger hospitals. The most important difference at OMI cardiovascular unit from AKH that my family member visited first was the personal attention received, the cleanliness and professionalism of the staff at OMI. The room was big enough with a couch that I stayed and slept at the hospital easily with my family member being treated. The remaining hospital is undergoing construction and it’s not in good shape currently, so I cannot speak for any other service or unit at the hospital. The reason I didn’t give it 5star is the construction and loud equipments noise during the day which are distributing for a patient. However, Dr Nadeem had informed us of this prior to confirming his services. The CVD unit however is fully done, complete and perfect for the service we needed.

5 lakhs for surgery and deluxe room. i expected to be serviced to the fullest but the management here is the most pathetic i have ever seen in a hospital. incomepent staff, they made me wait a HOUR before i can get back blood result and during an unexpected cloth during transfusion the doctor just randomly went to another room to consult with his senior without leaving behind any nurse or junior while the patient was still dizzy and the doc too came back after a hour, the audacity of the doctors here. After my mums surgery i hope i never get the oppurtunity to ever visit this hospital again.

I would rate 3.5. The hospital is nice, however, the staff is also well-trained but always look out for money, probably that is the reason they remain nice to you. It is not about being greedy or stingy but to enjoy the birth of your new born to the fullest but you are always occupied either by nurses, guards, care takers or other supporting staff asking for some money.

Hi, I am dr Suleman from Australia. my niece is currently in OMI ICU. she has ongoing fever for few days with respiratory symptoms. Had received broad spectrum IV antibiotics before being transferred to OMI . Here in OMI , I heard that they was treating on line of measles interestingly without having any rash. But today another thing happen that Paediatrician Dr Gouva, said that she should have Urine test for ? urine infection. I am astonished knowing this , i child who is having second course of antibiotics with Meropanum , could still be having a bacterial UTI with probably E Coli. What a practice in Pakistan. A child less than 2 years old seems to have a bacteria even resistant to most superior antibiotics. I would advise the paediatrician to think sensibly. Its a bad viral infection and as the child is not well enough cant be discharge home as hydration cant be maintained at home for a child who have mouth full of ulcers. Also I am not sure whether they have thought about Kawasaki disease as its presents same way as strep pharyngitis. I am doubtful whether they have ever treated a child with kawasaki disease which is a vasculitis and can have severe consequences. I would like to talk to doctors at OMI. One thing is important, this child should only be discharged home once Treating consultant take responsibility that nothing will happen to her after discharge. Thanks Dr Suleman

Firstly I want to commend the hospital for maintaining a high standard of cleanliness and the cafeteria service was excellent these aspects significantly contributed to a positive environment. However I must express my disappointment regarding the interaction with the security personnel. While I understand the importance of hospital security, I felt that the guards were somewhat rude. I appreciate the need for strict adherence to security protocol, but during time or stress, it is crucial that hospital staff also offer emotional support.

I Was on a visit to Karachi and had to take to my wife to an ENT for an Emergency. Very nice professional experience at National Hospital. I later visited ENT Consultant Dr. Shakil Aqil through a reference. He has NO respect for Time, arriving one hour late and keep patients waiting. Doctor May be professional but his assistant/ Office Secretary for Appointments severely lacks ethics, ripping patience for charges. Issuing Bogus receipts with no counter file receipts (probably avoiding Tax), even the Doctor is not clear on charges by his staff. Charges must be displayed even reduced fee for repeat visit. I need a clarification And response on above.
