I want this review to be helpful so it might seem negative, but it’s just to be clear. We will keep this place in mind for future trips, mainly for the fantastic location and the beautiful pool and grounds. Next reason is that we are a family of 5, and the kids are all getting older and in need of room to breathe. As long as you book a one or two bedroom unit, you should be happy with the space. The one bedroom units have a connecting studio unit, and the shared door is inside your suite, if that makes sense. So, you will hear each other. If noise is a deal breaker, keep that in mind. I think the studio units are crazy small and probably not worth the price. The layouts of these units are definitely strange, but if you can manage to get one you like, the rest of your stay should be a breeze. The sofa bed is a newer model that folds out in three parts, and they are basically padded boards. Make sure whoever is planning to sleep there can handle not being on an actual mattress. We had to ask for bedding for the sofa bed along with face cloths and hand towels, the unit itself was pretty bare. Our room keys didn’t work at first and they said “it happens all the time.” The staff is super nice though, and they’ll do their best to make your stay a great one. We absolutely loved being able to walk to Duval, the marina around the bend for our sunset cruise, and anywhere in between. We even walked to the southernmost point but our kids will tell you that we shouldn’t have! Hah. The wild roosters and chickens are fun to watch from the pool, and a lot of water sports and sailings leave from the marina right there.

2022 was by far the best experience we've had at the resort, and as long as you don't mind being in the heart of old town, this resort couldn't be any better. Sunsets off the balcony and from the pool, every night, and more options for food and drink in just a short stroll than you can imagine. The rooms offer plenty of wide open space and although you're right next to all the action of Duval St, this is a quiet and peaceful scene. Live entertainment by the pool is awesome. The one drawback? The cruise ships ruin the view a few days a week, but pull out in time for sunset.

Very disappointed with this time share. The Hyatt Sunset Harbor in Key West is not a place I recommend. My biggest complaint would be the bed bugs in the first two rooms I tried. Finally the third room was acceptable but the joining room door was like paper. I could hear everything from the room next door. Every word they spoke and I’m not exaggerating. I also was charged unexpected charges several days after I checked out. They explained about some kind of split week charge. Nothing was ever explained. Will never return to this hotel.

Sunset Harbor is a great residence. Location, location, location. On the waterfront and a short distance from some of the best bars and restaurants in Key West. Comfortable, spacious accommodations and friendly staff. Only negative is - building 1 (where we stayed) was closest to the street and every morning the sanitation pick-up served as our alarm clock between 6 and 7am.🙁

Extremely disappointed with the lack of service and amenities. For a hotel to charge a "Resort Fee" they should offer some type of resort services. They had no bar or poolside service, no room service throughout the 4 day stay, no bathroom near the pool, no restaurant and just disappointing service all around. Then they told me at check in that the parking fee would be 26.88 for my entire 3 night stay. When I checked out, they charged me 26.88 per night and when I complained, I was told that the person that checked me in made a mistake with the parking fee. When I called the next day to complain, the first person I spoke to said it was 26.88 for the week and would connect me to the manager. That never happened so I asked to have Rosa, the manager, call me back. She never did so I called her the next day and that is when she told me that everyone else I spoke to was mistaken about the parking fees. I do not recommend this hotel for anyone thinking of staying at a quality hotel in Key West.

We had a good time here but some of the issues are inexcusable for a "hotel" (really a time share) at this price point. 1) Very poor parking process that is not properly explained in any emails or on the website. The resort manager even emailed me and asked if I needed a spot, which I confirmed but did not provide any information... You have to pull up to the front door and unload your bags in the middle of the street, check in, and obtain a parking pass that you use in the garage next door. No bag carts were available so you have to haul your bags to your room. We parked immediately in the garage and couldn't get our bags out of the parking garage (there are no elevators on the side where the Hyatt is) so I walked down to come to learn what I wrote above...wasted about an hour of our very expensive time in Key West. 2) Signage on property is very poor. We didn't find the elevator at first and walked past our room 3 different times looking for it. They label the rooms out of sequential order. You'll get lost easily. The directions provided by the front desk were very poor. I called to ask where the ice machine is, front desk mentioned to take the elevator to 1 and it's right next to the elevator...it was 3 turns and about 50 yards from the elevator. 3) Our room had one window which looked out to the general walkway. No other windows. If not for the relatively nice interior, I would've thought it was a motel. 4) Lastly, there is no breakfast included here. If a $100 holiday inn can serve a mediocre breakfast buffet, I think the $350+ Hyatt can provide something. First and last time I'll visit here

We staid in a studio. It’s a lock-out room to at larger condo / suite. Our room was in the 500 building and was awesome, we overlooked Sunset Harbor and could see the ocean (granted down an alley way). The room had great AC and the bathroom was huge and amazing with a large soaker tub and shower. The room itself was not anything to write home about, it was a bed, 2 chairs, microwave, and a small refrigerator. We were there to have a fun time and be out of the room so it didn’t matter to us, it was cozy and nice. The pool area was nice, and the staff was all super friendly. The $35 a night to self park was pretty steep, and they could lose the carpet in the room and do wood or tile, the carpet made it feel musty and worn out. I would stay there again for the money.

Great location to walking just about everywhere. Front desk offered superior customer service. Pool was enjoyable and a good friendly vibe. Room was a little dingy for price. Couch was smelly and pillows on chairs and couch had visible soil needed to be washed or replaced. Quiet street no traffic noise except for planes flying in. Beautiful views of sunset. Bedroom had lots of storage space and kitchen was well equipped with dishes, pots and blender. Would recommend for staying wish room would have been cleaner.

Although we checked in early, we waited a couple of hours for the room to be "ready." When we got there there were crumbs on counters and floors, as well as contact lenses on the floor of the very small bathroom. The living room rug is in rough shape.

Just stayed here one night, but the location is right near Mallory Square and Duval Street. No need to pay for a ride. When the cruise ships come in, that will be your view for the day. Once the cruise ships leave, you can watch the sunset from the resort's grounds.

Room needed to be updated badly. The living room furniture was in bad shape. The walls were thin and we heard our noisy neighbors all of the time. Fewer amenities than other Hyatt Residence Club locations I have stayed at. The location was good but I would probably find a different place to stay if I go back.

Location, Location, Location…Amazing spot- amazing sunset views and well kept gardens. The Room was ok- needs upgrade- clean otherwise. Kathy at checkin was the our favorite- cheerful, happy and just a great person who loves people! We will be back for sure!

This is my favorite Hyatt resort. Location, location, location! My favorite employee who is professional, always there to help and greets you with a smile is Kathy! Fabian, the general manager, ran into him at the pool as he was talking to the guests. Told him my slider was sticking and he sent someone over immediately! Can't wait to go back next year.

Great experience, fun and exciting. Try to feed the big fish with the small fish and fend off the sneaky pelicans (dare devils). Watch others cleaning the fish while feeding the bones to other birds are also fun

Have been staying here for years in 532 every time we go to Key West. Absolutely love this place!! Great staff, beautiful water view, clean condos, everything is in walking distance and great pool. Rates are super fair also. Given how often we frequent Key West, and the fact we always stay here… I highly recommend!!!

I would totally stay here again. However, there are a few things i would like to see improve. The bed was not very comfortable and seemed small for two people. The couch looked and felt very worn, and you couldn't sit on it for long before the seat cushion would slide out from under your butt. The ceiling fan was loud on a fast setting, so we kept it on a slow setting and that took care of that. (not a big deal)Try to get a room with a balcony overlooking the marina as far away from the pool as possible. A few kids screaming for hours can ruin your peaceful vacation quickly and render your balcony useless. I'm sure a call to the friendly staff could remedy this, though. As I mentioned in the beginning, I would definitely stay here again simply for location and ease of parking, and again, staff was very nice as well.

We love this place!! Spent every day in the pool. It’s so peaceful here. Everyone at the pool was friendly n nice and 99.9% percent of kids were so well behaved and made new friends easily thou not tons of kids. It is not out of date at all but very comfortable and more than we expected so I guess that bad review lowered my expectations. Roomy, pull out couch was great, kitchen loaded with stuff, balcony was the best esp morning coffee. TV was great with surround sound too!! Bed was comfy, bathroom was great! Downside- not much, our key cards daily lol had to be recharged so we had 3. If you don’t rent the adjoining second bedroom the doors are thin so we all heard everything lol. This beautiful home away from home was worth every cent location location location. Note: Ask the front desk for the key to the gate by the pool do you have easy access to the pier.

We shared a 2 bedroom 2 bath unit with our owner friends. Location is excellent, right on the water near Mallory Square. Beautifull pool and Jacquzzi. Close to great restaurants and attractions.

No water pressure and no hot water 💦 it could have been due to a water main break around mile maker 90 that affected the lower keys at that time, but it happened three times in one week according to news sources (look it up if you don't believe me). Service was good, rooms were OK. Very high priced for what it was, buy all the hotels in Key West are. 💰💰💰💰💰

Great location!! Great Room!! Friendly and helpful staff!! Didn't stay much in the room because we were to busy walking around watching the big fish get fed by charter boats and even seen Manatees by the docks!! Jetski tour is also a must do!! We will be back 100%!

Love visiting and staying at this property! Rooms are spacious and nicely appointmented. Pool area and grounds are beautiful. Pool grill and bar is always good. Could use a little more help there but the people they have in there now work hard and do their best. Location has views of the ocean and far enough from downtown to be less hectic but close enough to get there in minutes.

Always a great place to stay. I park my car on arrival and never move it again. Everything is walking distance. The only drawback is they allow so many scooters out front, hopefully they find a better way to allow guests to park their scooters, or at least get them to park with some semblance of order.

Area is nice, hotel is getting older and was updated but seemed like the updates was all cheap material, our room floor and walls had to be cleaned upon arrival and also pre ordered bed supplies for the spare bed and bed I was staying in, we had to call on this when arrived. For the price you pay for the hotel I shouldn't be writing a review like this but for 500$ a night....it should be done right everytime and not put any burden on your guest's ....I've been coming here for 20 yrs on an off so not the best experience
