Evenings at Medusa are always worth it. There is always a relaxed atmosphere here, not least thanks to the two sisters who run the pub. They are super nice and personable, have people under control and just do a damn good job. The clientele is open-hearted and mainly based in the punk, alternative, metal and goth scenes. Accordingly, music from these genres plays primarily. In the age range of 18 - 65 everything is represented colorfully, the average is probably between 30 and 40. The concerts that take place here are mostly locals, but not infrequently also international bands, who, for really fair admission prices, provide a reasonable facility to get up to an estimated 70 visitors on fire - dancing and pogo included. The Astra - Knolle is available here for an easy €2.80, shots and other drinks are also absolutely affordable. For me, Medusa is one of the very few places to go for alternative culture in Kiel. I've crashed here unplanned many times. "Just for a beer for an hour" - nope, no chance. Every time I was involved in nice conversations and simply couldn't escape the pull of this wonderful location. But it's best to just make your own experiences - I promise you won't regret it! ;)
