Beautiful new hotel opened April 13, 2018. The "sky spa" on the 14th floor is really special. Also 2 laundry machines located on 14th floor. Guest rooms are spacious, not tiny like some Japanese hotel rooms (although the bathroom is super tiny. I used the sky spa as my shower and bath every night.)

Amazing hotel and super clean in the best possible location! We came for a 6 day trip to Kobe and so happy we selected Candeo. This is also my first time trying this chain and I am impressed. The bath was kept super clean, the water was well maintained. The does get quite crowded since it is a big hotel. The room was a good size and we can comfortably open our luggage. The bathroom was tiny but we didnt really use for showering anyways. The best part was the breakfast! It was great every single day!!!! We really enjoyed it here and will come back to stay if we come back to Kobe

Located just 2 minutes away from Motomachi Station, Candeo Hotel is a nice, convenient hotel to stay in to be near tourist sites. It has public baths. (Do note that public baths are different from onsens.) They're nice but apparently, the male bath seem to have more in terms of facilities. I heard from my husband that there's a cold bath as well in the men's bath. The sauna in the men's is made of wood, while the female's is tiled. I like their breakfast. While they have their standard food, they also switch it up everyday with a few new foods on the buffet table, which is real nice! Staff both at the front desk, and the cleaning staff, are friendly and patient. One of the staff helped us with the Go To travel digital coupons and explained patiently to us how to use it. The rooms are cozy. Not too small, but not very big either. I love that they have ample plugs in the room! Useful for people like me with lots of things to charge (iPhone, iPad, kindle, laptop, cameras, etc.) I have to say their blankets are not the most comfortable. It made it hard to sleep. Under it, it gets very hot. Above it, it's very cold. And this is without turning on the heat or air conditioning. We had a hard time sleeping as we're always turning and tossing, removing or getting under the blanket. I perspired quite a bit while sleeping which makes it uncomfortable. They offer Netflix and Youtube which is so great! The only down side is to have to login to Netflix everytime you turn off the TV. It can be quite a turn off after a while, and you might prefer just watching Netflix on your phone or tablet, just to avoid logging in every single time. I didn't mind putting in my details every time but not for someone like my husband. Perhaps if there's a way you can set a setting for us to be kept logged in for the duration of our stay, it would be a lot more convenient.

Simple, central hotel, well located for shopping or dining. ‘Sky Spa’ is a bit meh though - no views. We booked the same afternoon and got a pretty good deal. I’d be disappointed if I was paying the normal prices.

Rooms are very very very VERY small. I wouldn't recommend more than one person in that room even if it's two beds. The view is incredible though. Location is great.

We had a great stay here. Great location and awesome city views. We loved the seat next to the window and the bed was super comfy. Yes you can hear the trains occasionally but I found it to be kind of relaxing 😌 overall would recommend!

Well situated hotel with friendly and helpful staff. Decor in the room was very pleasant as well. The changing area for the public bath could be larger. At peak periods, there was barely any space to move.

It’s very clean, the onsen has indoor and outdoor. Around the hotel have lots of restaurants and convenience stores which makes this hotel very convenient and comfortable to stay.

Candeo are a large chain of 3-star hotels in Japan I understand, so I guess most local travelers would know what they are signing up for. We found the hotel a very good value option if a little too utilitarian for us. It was clean, modern, and well-located, however personally we would opt for something a grade up next time. The room was small (I booked the largest option already), a bit tight for 2 persons (international travelers with large suitcases), good thing we were only staying for 1 night. It was a fairly busy hotel with many guests coming and going, although the counter and service staff were great. The trains on the track next to the hotel do make some noise, however the trains stopped before midnight. The hotel does not have parking, so it was a bit expensive to have to shell out for overnight parking at a public garage.

The location is very convenient, the room is very clean, and the staff are very welcoming. There is also an Onsen in the top floor, which you can go to at any time. There are many nearby attractions, such as Daimaru, Chinatown etc. If you are going to Kobe, I would definitely recommend you come to this hotel.

Because the staff is so nice. She go to the front gate to make sure that I have the right taxi. Also, I can borrow any kind of electronic plugs for our personal devices.

Nice breakfast and location near multiple stations. AC in the rooms is really loud at night and the pillows were uncomfortable though so a bit hard to sleep

This is my Candeo Hotel stay and I have to admit I’m impressed for this price range. The location very central in Sannomiya area next to all the shopping, Chinatown nearby and lots of food options opposite side of the street across from the train train station. Our reservation also included breakfast where you can see photos I included and also there’s an in-house onsen you can use all day. The room is also quite nice with a built-in relaxing lounging sofa by extra large windows. I plan to try their other locations on my Japan trip. You can’t go wrong with this hotel!!

Rooms were dirty - a lot of dust under the bet and on the walls. Location is very good and public bath area is nice too. Staff is friendly and helpful.

Excellent location and cleanliness, but having the lobby at the top floor means the two slow elevators are always going to be busy. Spa is good and breakfast is varied, but I cannot classify this as a 4 star hotel

Brand new hotel. The room was a bit small (605) and facing the motomachi train station, so was also a bit noisy from time to time. The sky spa is very nice and comprises rooftop onsens, one of which is outdoor. Breakfast was good but not exceptional, overall it felt like a premium business hotel.

Love the indoor and outdoor hotbaths! Hotel is clean and modern, really helpful receptionists though language was a barrier, gave good recommendations on places of interest to visit, food and transportation routes. It was kind of awkward to have the front desk at L13 and hotbaths at L14 and ever morning when I head up from L7 to L14 in my robe, I see the check-in folks heading to L13 as well :)

Candeo Hotel was great, and honestly if it wasn't for the size of the rooms, it would get 5 stars. The view is awesome, the service is excellent, they have bag storage, the breakfast buffet is awesome, even the onsen is very nice. But the room is juuuust too small for two people. If you have two people and a baby, forget it. It will be come cramped due to having nowhere to put your suitcases, nevermind a baby buggy. The rooms were very nice, the only issue with them was the size, and honestly it's hard to complain too much because the queen size bed takes up a lot of space. But, it's a massive bed. If you can get past this, or you're travelling by yourself, it's very highly recommended. The location is also excellent, it's right in the middle of town, and close to a train station so you can easily make connections to pretty much anywhere you want..

Very new and clean in 2022. Felt a little peeved that they wouldn't refresh my room with bottled water on the day I was checking out. Is bottled water really that expensive?

The hotel room is small, but the cost is very competitive! The room is clean, service is good, and the rooftop spa is also very comfortable. Breakfast and location are pretty good too. Unfortunately, soundproofing system is not ideal but overall the experience is nice.
