Definitely a wise decision to try Kobe beef while we are in Kobe! We booked this a few days in advance including the set. Was a very special dining experience as the chef prepares the food in front of us. We were lucky we got a friendly chef as he explained many things to us and chat with us throughout the meal although he is not good in English. Appreciate his effort to communicate with us. Soup was nice and the beef was extremely delicious! Decided to order wine to pair with the steak.

I need to make a reservation to land a spot for lunch in the restaurant. I have nothing to complaint about the food at all, they are all good and reasonably priced for an A5 quality wagyu. However, i noticed that the staff was not really friendly enough with non-japanese guest. I do hope that they can improve their service for other guests.

I have made a huge mistake - I have eaten Kobe beef at Sai-Dining in Kobe, and now no beef I have ever eaten will be the same again. Not only did they make great Abalone, have good food prepared in front of you and great service, they made this leaf thin Kobe beef that was unbelievably good. Thank you, and highly recommend

Simply amazing, I strongly recommend going to Sai Dining to treat yourself. Everything is prepared right in front of you, and nothing feels rushed. The chef takes his time slowly making sure every dish reaches perfection, which they do. Definitely one of the better meals I’ve had.

Sai offers some very fine teppanyaki style barbecue cuisine, featuring some very top quality Kobe beef!! The chefs and the waitresses provide some very excellent service too!

Growing up I always heard about how Kobe beef was the best beef in the world. Luckily I had a chance to visit the home of Kobe beef and dine in one of the local teppanyakis (grilled on a metal plate) for lunch. It was a cozy environment located downstairs on a side street and as soon as we entered, we were seated in front of a grill with the chef behind it. They had English menus which was clutch and they spoke pretty decent English as well. Our chef used to live in LA and we even talked about basketball - how he grew up watching Magic Johnson! The food was delicious - you could order a la carte or with a meal set. We wound up doing the meal set, and they had two choices - A or B. B was more expensive by about 1000 yen but included an appetizer and dessert. You could also order two sizes of meat: 80g or 160g. If you just want a taste of the meat, 80g is more than enough, and I typically have a big appetite. The meat is so juicy and buttery and tender. I couldn’t recommend this place enough!

For the price paid, the food wasn’t enjoyable. I specifically chose this restaurant as seafood is also available. However, sadly, the seafood tasted way better than the beef, especially the abalone! Service was fantastic, there is one staff who speaks pretty good English.

A very good experience here, get to watch the chef cook your meal right in front of you. Each course came out straight after the other, I think I was here for about 45 minutes. The food was delicious and the staff were friendly and attentive. You do get hit with a “service fee” though which is additional to the tax so be aware.

Great dining experience for beef lover! We had 2 different sets which contain Kobe Beef & Wagyu Beef for sharing cause Kobe might to fatty sometime and wagyu can be balanced up the whole taste. They serve coffee or tea at the other place after the whole meal.

Savored Kobe Beef in its birthplace at this restaurant. The food was great, the Beef served with vegetables was tasty, rich, tender and juicy. Be known that this is the most expensive Beef, I think the Price is just fair other than that you pay for the experience and the Chefs are putting some show while you eat. I would be certainly coming back in the next visit to Kobe.

Had the Kobe beef set and my father had the wagyu the chef split the 2 steaks in half so we experienced both. The food was all fantastic with the highlight being the beef of course. The fattier part of the steak is also cut up and eaten with either the bread or rice that you can choose to accompany the meal.

Got the lunch course of 160grams marbled kobe beef round steak (B) which includes: hors d' oeuvre, soup, salad, dessert and a drink (coffee/tea) in medium rare. The meat is very tender and juicy. Best steak I tasted so far. Price: expensive

The restaurant is located at basement which feel like going to hidden bar :) They serve very good Kobe beef and make sure you make reservation before visit, they always fully booked. I had requested a simple desert for my wife birthday from email and they are very supportive and prepared a small cakes with candles.

Overall experience: Good. Sadly the recommend beef selection was sold out by the time we arrived. We were able to order other delicious wagyu beef. The set dinner includes 5 courses: appetizer, soup, salad, teppanyaki veggie and beef, rice/bread, coffee/tea and dessert. Food presentation was great, and their taste was just right. The reason I have rated a 3 stars, as their services was disappointing. One of staff was speaking mandarin impolitely, rushing us to be seated for tea and asking us to settle the bill asap. (She was trying to rush even the table was not set-up and the bill was not ready yet) I believe there are a lot more options in kobe for teppanyaki which provides great food and service.

Fantastic place to enjoy quality Kobe beef at a reasonable price! Came in for lunch and got the aitchbone steak set. The staff was very hospitable and the food was absolutely delicious. Thank you for a wonderful meal!

Very good meat and a good course. Pretty expensive, but I guess the kobe beef price is the main reason. Side dishes were decently good for the price we paid

Booked this placed before we reach Kobe 2 weeks before. The quality of the A5 is top notch; it's around 100-200 USD per person. The chef will cook the meat in front of you just like every other Tepanyaki should do. Enjoy the show and be mouthwatering before you eat it. Double enjoyments. There is a nearby carpark for you if you drive.

It was okay. Got the expensive lunch set and was underwhelmed by the meat which was presented. Way leaner then the picture portrayed on their menu. Felt like I got gipped.

One of the best meals I've ever had in my life, wagyu, kobe and dry aged kobe

We made a reservation ahead of time and still winded up waiting an hour for them to actually start cooking our food. We spent two hours there. I'd say only 3/5 of the courses were actually worth the money. My piece of roast beef had a small unchewable cartilage in it. The pair that came in after us actually got their dessert first and the waitress asked us to relocate for our dessert afterward.. The chef was very nice and he tried to communicate with us in English but the waitresses seem more inclined to treat Japanese and Chinese people better than English speakers. I've had better service from Cafe Gusto.

The price are slightly on the high side, but what you gonna expect?! to eat authentic JUICY and TENDER KOBE beef!!!... ... a small and quiet restaurant, easy to locate. 1 star for service 2 star for food 1 star for environment

👍 we order lunch set. Food quality us excellent. Beef is undoubtedly tender. I love the beef source made with Naoshichi (like tangerine, but sour). The vegetables like onion is so sweet. The chef and the waiters are very kind. Thank you for their hospitality. It's a bit pity that we couldn't reserved chef table (I online booked just a week ago. Suggest to have reservation as early as u can. Indeed, they have tried to contact me via tel., but unsuccessful as mine is not a Japanese local no. It's much betterif we can connect via message App like WhatsApp, Line, WeChat...

What a wonderful experience! My husband and I came for lunch and made a reservation well in advance. The chef cooks the food right in front of you. Although English ability was limited, he made sure to check on us and ask if the beef was cooked to our liking. Staff were very attentive and service was excellent. We enjoyed the wagyu beef over the Kobe beef.

The dining experience was so awesome. The staff will explain everything thoroughly and recommend the combination for you that you can taste different species of beef in a gentle and polite way. The chef will also ask you if you want to take picture or videos when they were cooking. The overall experience was so excellent. They can speak in different languages as well. Can’t wait to dine there again!

👍 It is a long-established Sapporo beer hall in Kobe. It collapsed during the Great Hanshin-Awaji Earthquake, but is now operating in a new building. The fried chicken is very delicious and famous. It's the perfect place to have a beer and talk with your friends.
