The room was well decorated and in a good condition, but noisy as rooms are not well isolated. We could hear people going to the bathroom or caughing during the night. The lobby with the bar is very impressive and trendy, they have a great choice of liquors and cocktails.

Very pleasant staff, comfortable accommodation in a great location. A warning however for anyone arriving in their own car. On the right hand side entrance to the car park there is a low concrete curb that is impossible to see when manoeuvring and it’s easy to damage your car (as I did). I suggested to the staff that a warning balustrade or similar be installed but they seemed totally disinterested even though it was obvious many other cars had hit it previously. On a positive note the hotel has EV charging available.

Great location, but terrible communication and substandard service for a 5*. Parking is a problem here and after leaving the car and being offered a drink, later they asked me to drink and drive to move my car. Not good at all. Without that experience, I’d say it is probably a nice hotel, but none of us will be coming back.

Excellent service at every level. Great breakfast. Booked parking and had no issues. Brilliant bar team, with fantastic cocktails. Comfortable indoor and outdoor spaces. Best start to a holiday one could ask for. Would return in a heartbeat.

A really nice hotel with an exceptional staff. Our room was a suite, which was very small and quirky. For example the sink in the bathroom was just above my knees in height. The bathroom door was a barn door that would not stay on track. The room door constantly stuck and had to be yanked open. A renovation is needed

Very comfortable and clean. Staff were welcoming and friendly. Hired electric bike to go to I’ll de Re which was a lot easier than you think, 50KM round trip.

We booked 2 rooms paying over $1500 and could never get one parking spot. Our brother was able to get a parking spot right after they told us there were no spots and said there were 6 open down there. They lied to us every time telling us there’s no parking and we spent probably more than other people at this hotel. This is not a five star experience when the parking attendants clearly lied to us and it’s extremely disrespectful. If your a foreigner or from America avoid this place. They give a bad reputation to French people

Gorgeous hotel at the heart of la Rochelle's old town. Impeccable service. The grand fireplace at the heart of their stylish lobby is my personal favourite.

We had a beautiful room that looked out over the pool area. Our room had a king bed in its own room, and two twins in the living area. The bathroom had a walk-in shower and a separate large soaking tub. The WC was located off the entryway. The location was great for walking around La Rochelle, which is a very charming town. The parking is a tight squeeze, but we managed okay. Apparently staff typically parks your car for you, but this was not communicated to us upon checkin.

High-quality breakfast and fantastic services which you can expect from a 5-star hotel. Very friendly and helpful staff. The sauna is nice, with a steam room. Parking available in the underground car park.

What a lovely hotel, from the rooms to the wonderful staff. I Felt relaxed and pampered. Staff were more than helpful. Breakfast and the bar facilities both great.

Location is excellent, but this is not a 5-star hotel by any stretch of the imagination, it is let down by terrible service. The location is great if you don’t have a car, otherwise don’t stay here! The number of issues we had and saw others have, was astonishing. They will claim they sent a message asking if you want parking (they didn’t). All of the 5 star hotels we’ve stayed with offer to park your car. Not this place, it’s a stressful arrival and departure, often delayed by the ineptitude of the staff and the crowded parking. The staff in this hotel must be some of the worst we’ve ever encountered; we saw them being rude and quite physical with one group - insulting them behind their backs! We personally experienced their disinterest, like they don’t want to really help and go out of their way to avoid doing so. Maybe they had a bad day, but for a 5-star, you don’t expect anything as bad as this. We didn’t try the restaurant or the bar area because how bad the rest was (maybe that makes up for the rest). Instead we enjoyed the lovely La Rochelle (and the hotel is well located) but there are a lot nicer places with better service. This hotel needs to re-think its parking. My advice, whether on-site or outside, connect with your guests and offer parking in both cases. Please retrain your staff, I’m sure you probably know how bad some of them area, maybe they are frustrated by the daily parking stress, I know I would be.
