I didn’t receive good customer service at the front desk. They were rude and didn’t let me have a later check out by 30 minutes.

Beautiful location, excellent staff, rooms are very clean and more than adequate, breakfast is a typical breakfast of bread rolls, croissants tea and coffee, butter, jam etc etc. The wife says the bed linen smelled beautiful and she was right! Bathrooms were spotless! Only downside is not really a down side, they gave no restaurant but that is not a criticism! Outside the hotel door is about thirty restaurants of all differing tastes. If you cannot find something to your liking then maybe you have a problem?!!? 🤔 The upside? Well you are about thirty metres from the seaport with everything it has to offer. I have posted some pictures of this stunning, beautiful, place and can honestly say we will be back!! Sadly, endemic to the area not the hotel, it is not the best for the elderly or infirm. Carparking is about 300 metres away over cobbled paved streets. The hotel does not have a lift and wheelchair access is none existent. You walk through the hotel door and it's stairs from then on! The town is positively gorgeous with castle styled harbour reinforcements and as you walk away from the front into the town proper you will find shops to placate all you holiday needs. Hôtel très bien placé sur les quais ce qui est pratique pour prendre le bus de mer ou le passeur juste en face. Quartier animé avec ses restaurants. Les chambres sont parfaitement propre. La literie est impeccable. Quand au personnel, nous avons été accueilli avec sourire et courtoisie même après une saison bien chargé ! Une adresse que je garde précieusement tant on s'y sent bien...

Beau cadre De belles chambres avec des vue appréciable pour beaucoup. Bonne insonorisation. Literie de bonne qualité. Grande douche, grand lit. Sont nom es bien choisi vu sont emplacement juste devant le port.

Petit hôtel de ville qui ne paie pas de mine, super bien situé et à la literie confortable. Avec un peu de chance lors de votre réservation, vous aurez une vue imprenable sur le port de la Rochelle. Notre chambre était modeste, propre et fonctionnelle. La réceptionniste est super sympathique et aux petits soins 👍

Chambre petite mais literie agréable Mur peu épais... on entend le voisin ronflé. Et arrivé sur week-end marathon on demande où se garer pour partir tranquillement le lendemain finalement on se retrouve coincé je ne dirai pas merci à la personne nous ayant indiqué de nous y garer. Très mécontente du coup..

Hôtel idéalement situé sur le port qui a l'allure extérieur ne paie pas de mine et pourtant....accueil souriant, chambre propre, spacieuse à la décoration tendance et une literie de bonne qualité. Le petit déjeuner est copieux et servi avec sourire. Très bon rapport qualité-prix.

We have just stayed here for two nights in a family room for 3. The room was very small, dark, tired and extremely dirty with a thick layer of black dust coating all the skirting boards and worst of the headboard!! We noticed the entrance and stairway were very dusty too, so obviously cleaning is not a priority at this hotel! This was confirmed when we were told that housekeeping would not be cleaning our room during our two night stay due to covid. Having stayed in various hotels in the Uk & Portugal during covid, who still provided housekeeping, we found this very odd. Due to covid I do carry antibacterial hand wipes so I cleaned the thick layer of dust, as we did not want to breath it in, especially as the headboard was totally covered in black dust! It was clear to see that the room has not been cleaned thoroughly for quite sometime, which was not pleasant and very disappointing. I did check to see if we could change hotels but, being peak season there were no vacancies elsewhere. We did mention this upon checking out. The response we received was absolutely shocking! The woman at the desk refused to let me speak, continuously interrupting me! She refused to believe us and kept repeating that the rooms are cleaned regularly! I showed her a photo of the black dirt I had removed with my wipes and she blamed the air conditioning unit, which we didn’t even use! After seeing my photo of the wipes she accused us of being ‘cleaning maniacs’!! Such a rude and unpleasant, not to mention unprofessional woman!! Zero customer service & care!! During our stay we were unable to use the television in fear of being electrocuted as the plug and wires were precariously hanging off the wall!! We did bring this to her attention but she refused to even listen and swiftly took payment for our stay and ushered us away. Avoid this dark dingy, dirty, hotel!! La Rochelle has many hotels and for €115 per night, you are sure to find much better accommodation elsewhere!!
