I had my allergy shots at the outpatient center and in the three months I ha them the experience was great, but the charges for the service were never addressed. $800 charge for "rapid desensitization" appeared three times and in all of the visits I had not one was different than the last. After bringing this up to the front desk, staff, insurance staff, my doctor, and the doctor's nurse and not one of them could explain what caused that charge. Now I am stuck on a payment plan that I am sure is helping build the two or three new buildings they're making. I moved my service across town for half the price at a nicer facility (Midwest Allergy & Asthma) and I haven't been charged by them for some BS rapid desensitization thing.

It is beautiful but this was the main bathroom, not quite as scary as their bathrooms in the north and south tower but the med center sure makes pretty buildings and decorates nice but they really need to update their bathrooms. The ones in the towers are missing light bulbs and are really scary and the elevators of the towers are scary also..

I tried to sign up with UNMC as new patient (because I am not happy with my current provider) - TWICE in this past year, and both times I did not get the impression that they want me as a patient. So I will pass on them and move on.

Their billing department is the WORST. I paid my bill in full and have a statement showing that fact. Now they've gone clear back to MARCH and added additional charges for two OTHER appointments, when co-pays were made at time of service and I paid off any outstanding balance for additional radiology tests included in those appointments. They are literally padding the bill by drumming up new charges. Also tried to charge me for an annual physical when my insurance pays that 100% with no co-pay. When I called them on it, someone was supposed to get back to me and never has. Planning on transferring all of my care to another health facility. It's sad because I believe I have gotten great care from all the doctors at Nebraska Medicine but fighting with their billing department CONSTANTLY is something I don't have the time nor the stomach to deal with.

I recently had a niece rushed to the emergency room at UNMC. I just wanted to personally thank the Nurses and Doctors of the PICU and Emergency room for giving it their all. They were nothing but kind and accommodating to the best of their abilities. Ginny, Kristina, and Michelle were absolutely phenomenal. They deserve extra praise. They answered my families questions and were extremely respectful. I’m beyond satisfied with the care we experienced here. I’ll always love you A ❤️

I go here often to get labs done, it's on the first floor. The pharmacy is located on the second floor near the elevator, you can buy non prescription medicine here too, like Pepto, Tylenol, and other such things. The Starbucks is always busy so be prepared to wait for a cup of coffee. Most of the ladies at the entrance are friendly and will assist in giving directions to your specific office. All of the buildings are connected to each other.

Was 2 hrs early for ultrasound, did not make me wait long & started procedure more than an hour early. Annie at the check-in desk was polite, courteous and made me feel at ease. The same is true for the two people who did the actual ultrasound. They answered all my questions.

Providers are fine, but the billing department is incompetent. They incorrectly filed with my secondary insurer instead of the primary. Then, after contacting them and both insurance companies repeatedly (4-5 times each) NE Med refused multiple times to fix the error. They tried to tell me that my student insurance plan (from UNMC) through United Healthcare “isn’t medical insurance” and doesn’t cover simple doctors visits when I had written confirmation that my health insurance plan does not exclude the CPT codes they used. I should not have to fight for them to correct an error when both insurance companies are telling me that the provider filed the claim incorrectly. The billing department clearly doesn’t understand how coordination of benefits works.

Great experience. UNMC is always awesome for me. Sleep, Nephrology, Gastrointestinal medicine, labs all 5 star. Recommend them highly.

Took a family member in for some unique outpatient testing. Planned to valet, but they were obviously overwhelmed. So, parked in the garage and was lucky enough to get a space very close to the hospital entrance. The instructions we received about the location of the testing were not helpful. The instructions said the testing was in University Tower, that may have been true, but it should have just said Durham Outpatient Center first floor, since it was just down the hallway and around a couple corners. Following signage to University Tower took us up escalators and finally in University Tower, but not where we needed to be. Once we started looking at signs more closely, staff members walking by started asking us if we needed help and getting us pointed in the right direction. Every step along the way staff members took time to help us get where we were going. We never had to ask anyone for help. I don’t think any of them knew what that rare test on our instructions was, but they took time to figure out where we needed to be. Once we got settled in, I needed to find a patch of grass for my service dog. Once again, the first employee I saw asked me if she could help me. She directed me to the nearest access to grass and offered some other options too. When it was time to find some lunch , staff got us pointed to the cafeteria and every step along the way we had help offered to us. Navigating the food stations with a large service dog is challenging with lots of tight spots along with lots of people. Everyone was respectful of my service dog and whenever I apologized for him being in the way the response from employees getting their lunches was always reassuring and supportive. Facing the lanes to pay was daunting. Definitely no space for me, my dog and other customers. I was trying to figure out how to keep him out of peoples way and the cashier said my dog can be wherever he needs or wants to be and everyone else can just figure it out. (I really appreciated her reassurance) There was plenty of room in the seating area for my dog to tuck under the table and the food was actually very good. The Nebraska Medical Center is a large and busy campus with lots of interconnected building that can be challenging to navigate. They could definitely improve some things. However, it was clear how fabulous the employees are! Many thanks to all the GREAT employees! You are what makes Nebraska Medicine a treasure that serves the healthcare needs of the people of Nebraska!

My first visit here was good. Doctor fully explained what was going on, and planned a path of treatment going forward. Be prepared to doing some walking from and to parking.

I WAS SEEING ALL MY CANCER DOCTORS AND NEROLOGY AND GASTERNOLOGY AND FIBERMYLAA AND OBGYN AND OTHER DOCTORS AND NOW SOMEONE PUTS A NOTE THAT DISCRIMINATES ME AS DISABLED PERSON. I PUT IN COMPLAINT WITH HEALTH DEPT OF NEBRASKA THIS WEEK AND BBB AND ATTORNEY GENERAL THAT THEY WONT LET ME SEE MY DOCTORS. MY DOCTORS WANT TO SEE ME BUT THEY PUT A NIOTE ON THE SYSTEM THAT STOPS THEM FROM MAKING ME APPOINTMENTS. IM NOT HAPPY WITH THIS PLACE AT ALL FOR THEM DISCRIMINATING A DISABLED PERSON WITH CANCER AND 15 HEALTH PROBLEMS. ALL I ASK IS SOMEONE GET THAT LETTER OFF SO I CAN MAKE MY APPTS FOR MY DOCTORS THERE CAUSE IM IN REALLY BAD SHAPE IN THE LAST YEAR CAUSE THEY CUT ME OUT OF SEEING ALL MY DOCTORS.

I have going to this place for the past decade, after having an allergic reaction to penicillin. Dr. McCashland has been a blessing to returning me back to health! I have had nothing but the BEST service from the entire staff! What more can you say about the facility and the people who have given me the best care and service of your life! And yes, LIFE after a traumatic incident?! Thank you

😠 I was here for a week. Rails on bed and given 4 urinal jugs to use as they said to use them. So had to pour urine from one 'main' jug so I could reuse the other three. Nurse came in once a shift and emptied the one that was usually about half full, no rinse out. Of course had no way to wash hand...
