I would highly recommend going to a different hospital. Was just in the ER here, and I notified the nurse that I had very difficult veins to find for an IV. I asked for them to get an extremely seasoned older nurse, or a phlebotomist to insert the needle. The nurses, two of them, both attempted to find my veins, sticking me 6 or 7 times until I finally blew up and told them to go get someone that knew what they were doing. Then this other nurse comes in instantly getting an attitude with me, and I said, ya, I did blow up on the other nurses, they wouldn't listen. Then this mouthy young punk doctor comes barging in the room, telling me I'm not going to disrespect his nurses. I hadn't disrespected anyone. If telling someone they aren't good at their job, and telling them to go get someone who is is out of line, well then I guess I was. I'll be filing formal complaints with the hospital and DHHS on Monday. That is if I live that long

I was not happy with the way they treated my mother. My mom had to be put on a ventilator in ICU for complications with her blood sugar being extremely high and among other things. The first day seemed like all the nurses and Dr were trying to help. They were really good. But then it was more of communication issues. Which means there weren't any. My mom was on the ventilator for 5 days. Then that's when all the problems started happening. We were told the first day that we would be visited by doctors and nurses dietary to go over all the things that will have to be changed when she did go home. None of that was ever done. I had to ask numerous times about her diet and still never got any information. And then I was finding out that she was having issues with privacy. The nurses would come in and give her a sponge bath leaving doors open. And there was even one day that she was getting a sponge bath and a doctor came in with a helper when my mother had asked one of them to leave that she was not comfortable with everybody being in there the DR shook his finger at her face and told her that she was being rude. We had so many issues that I can't even explain them all I will say that some good nurses didn't mind helping and the doctor that we dealt with the first time was a very nice man and explained what was happening and made sure to answer all our questions. The day that my mom did finally get ready to leave. Nobody was even ready for her discharge papers or any information that we needed to get including her dietary. We had to ask them to get all of her discharge papers when it was time to leave finally. We were pretty much pushed out the door. They had us out the door in less than 10 minutes it was obvious that they were ready for her to get out of there. I would not recommend this hospital and if I did it would only be for certain nurses and certain doctors

Endless wait times in the ER. In exam room for almost 3 hours and not one staff member comes in to check on the pt unless you call them in. No updates given. Just leave you sitting. Absolutely no communication between staff — 2 separate times they come in to do tests that have already been done. Dr orders and EKG that was done an hour prior during initial work up. Severely lacking in all departments here.

I came in to the er due to symptoms of high BP that has been a result from pre-e; had the baby almost 5 months ago. In anycase they treated the situation as heartattack like symptoms, which I understand why due to it causing a migraine and facial numbness. I was admitted for further observation, test came back fine but they left me with nothing to help my BP for almost 18 hours, they let my symptoms continue and ran test, gave me an iv and a potassium pill. When they concluded no stroke, they decided to blame it on migraines and mental health....! This isn't anxiety I was breathing fine, I was in pain my ears were ringing horribly face was numb which is correlated with hypertension. My Dr's worked close with ne since being pregnant and postpartum. This is a problem they just basically acted like it was nothing. Ironically after my second dose of BP meds my BP and tingling subsided.

My gosh, the registration staff in the main hospital is so rude! To get a pen slammed at you without any instructions what it’s for, then an attitude when I ask what I need to sign is a poor reflection of the hospital and character. The people you see first walking in should always be courteous and the staff should remember that random surveys go out and don’t assume those survives get ignored. Shame on the staff from Tuesday, June 20th at 1:45 pm. Your manager needs to get you better customer service training.

This is usually my go-to ER, but I’ve had too many bad experiences here and will not be returning. The staff is always very nice, but the wait time is horrible. For nearly two hours I was sobbing, groaning in pain, and uncontrollably throwing up before I was given any fluids or medication. The person who checked in after me was also called back to a room before me, despite him being able to walk around just fine. My pain was at a 9, I had to be wheeled around in a wheelchair, and had thrown up a bit of blood. A couple of years back I got a double kidney infection that turned into sepsis, which nearly killed me, and I had to visit the ER four times before they finally did a CT scan and admitted me. Another time I arrived in an ambulance due to chest pains and was completely ignored. All they did was an X-ray to check my lungs and an EKG, then sent me home before they figured out what was wrong. I’ve been to this hospital dozens of times and I would not recommend it. I would rather drive out of my way to get faster and more in depth care.

This has hands down been the worst experience I’ve had at a hospital. For starters, I had a drill go through my hand so I went to the ER, didn’t get seen by a doctor for 2 hours!!!! Then when I finally did get taken back they put me on a bed in the hallway (never got a room) just for a doctor 3 years older than me come out and tell me exactly what I had read on my phone after waiting in the hallway for an hour. Just to get a whopping 1.4K bill in the mail a month later, have been trying to go through financial aid for the last 6 months with absolutely nothing be solved. I have left several voice messages on Fincial aid to get back to me and I have yet to hear from them and it’s impossible to get ahold of them in the first place. If you are strapped for money or need to be seen immediately absolutely do not go to this location.

For the love god don’t go here for a colonoscopy! Absolutely terrible staff from the doctor to the nurses. Doctor contradicted himself multiple times saying I don’t know why they would have you come back in a year we never see anyone in less than 3 years. Moments later comes back and says we need to see you in 6 months. Nurses saying mom was through with the operation someone come get you in 10 minutes. After 25 minutes a guy is standing at the front desk. Asked him can you help me? He gets extremely rude and just keeps saying this not my department. Nurse 15 minutes later walks by looking for someone else. So asked her she said oh yeah I’ll be right back. 25 minutes later mom comes walking out. Kept saying my mom had high blood pressure when she doesn’t. Kept trying to argue that she had diabetes which she doesn’t. Extremely rude terrible bed side manner, no organization, no professionalism. This department needs to be looked in to!

The staff have horrible attitudes and the dr had Horrible bedside manners!! We will never use this hospital again. The receptionist was rude upon arrival. I wouldn’t even bring my goldfish here! We were brought into a room and waited 45 minutes before a nurse came in , then it was Another 30 minutes before a PA came in. I’ve been a nurse for 25 years and have never witnessed this type of of very poor care. 2-5-23

First off, they have cameras in your room to spy on you, which is a complete invasion of your privacy. They can spend around and look at you anytime they want even if you’re naked or getting dressed, it is not good place to be even after I had them shut the camera off, they still spun it around when I was getting dressed.

Hubby was taken there by rescue squad. There for 8 days. Came home, he has alot of doctors appointments and they found cancer. Always nice and hardworking nurses. Couldn't get a urologist until a week after he went to lakeside at Bergen. Has to do chemo and radiation next🙄

I would definitely NOT take anyone here. I drove myself for a personal female issue. Got in quick. Was told that their "system was down" (Again CHI). Informed the nurse I had allergies and needed the red bracelet. She told me the system was down. Yep, know that but....then she gave me morphine (I didnt ask or consent, I was in pain but not there for drugs) and after she asked me IF I HAD A MORPHINE ALLERGY! Needless to say I removed my blood pressure cuffs, O2, and had to use the restroom...plus pushed the nurse button. I could hear the alarms. I peeked out and was told she would be in. I timed it. 2.5 hrs and noone answered the nurse alarm. Let alone me removing things so I could use the restroom!? Which sets off 2 more alarms (I was watching my BP cuff inflate itself on it's own, not on me). My bag of saline so empty that blood was going into my IV tube. I walked out, right by "my" nurse and the guy she was talking to (nurse I assume). Refused to sign out....why? I could have been laying in there dead! When three alarms ( yes I timed them and I work in the medical profession) are going off for HRS! All to have, when after 6 hrs, have the male nurse come out running and demand to see my arm. I removed my own IV (btw weird place to put an IV) and I was angry and how are you going to treat patients this way!? I have no history of drug abuse and he was there when I said I was leaving..... I had my coat on I was backing out; suppose you should have done your job(s) in the first place. Look in the "sharps" container! Be happy I cleaned up my blood since a nurse was so busy chatting. Guess what CHI, do your nurses forget about their patients? Can't hear alarms? Apparently not. Check the logs. I didnt see anyone for hours (unless I cracked the door and asked to be unhooked...happened once so I could use the restroom). Alarms going off..... never again. Save you family and take them anywhere but Lakeside. At least Immanuel hospital (which is CHI) takes care of their patients. As does Methodist Health. Worst experience I have ever had. I have friends who had similar issues. I have a lot of respect for nurses but these lost mine.

The experience at the hospital was excellent!! The bill pay however OMG!! I have been on the phone with them for the last 3 hours trying to pay almost $3500 and they won’t take my payment. Are you kidding me?!?! Oh well like I told the “supervisor” you can take my payment to close the account or I’m just not gonna pay ya. He told me I have to call back in 48 hrs as they can’t take payment today. I will NOT be calling back and will NOT be paying this bill now!!

Worst. Visit. Ever. If I could give no stars, I would. Came in with a kidney stone. I inquired if there was more than one only for the MD to say, “they didn’t tell me.” So ask? Do your job? His examine made me incredibly uncomfortable as well. I told my husband after he left. Pushed the call button and waited 15 minutes for someone to come in, only to be told the nurse needs to pull the IV. The nurse that pulled my IV DIDN’T EVEN WEAR GLOVES! Didn’t wash her hands either. Disgusting! I called to get more information today and the nurse was incredibly rude and unhelpful. What a terrible facility! If you don’t want to be in medicine - DON’T BE IN MEDICINE! Compassion is part of the job. Will never go here again!

I didn't want to go here, but I was brought by ambulance so I had no choice. I was having my second miscarriage in 6 months and was having complications. The ER doc had the nerve to argue with me about the difference between midwives vs obgyns while I was miscarrying my son. I was made to sit there bleeding with no help to stop it. No help to the bathroom, even when I said I lost feeling in my arms and legs, next thing I knew I was unconscious and on the floor from losing so much blood and they didn't give me any either. Over a month later I am still recieving iron infusions at another hospital. Zero compassion for what I was going through from any of the medical staff. My experience here was more traumatic than my actual loss.

The billing process is a joke. Every time I call in they say they dont have a Hippa form for me to speak on behalf of my husband and then I tell them to look as we signed and sent it back. Now apparently it's incomplete. They changed my payment plan without my approval and it is just because my card that is on file expires at the end of the month even tho I have entered a new card to make payments with. Now all the bills there are once again in payment pending status which will push back my payoff date again. Update to my review from last month. I called in the other day after my husband received an email stating our bill is canceled and no more payments would be processed. So I called them and come to find out, since they canceled my payment plan and I could not make any payments, 2 of my bills were sent to collections. All because I missed one payment because they canceled my payment plan. Told the lady she could eat those bills if she could not pull them back from collections as I would not be paying them as she could clearly see I'd been paying every month since receiving the original plan. Their billing is a huge joke. Once I pay off this bill, I will NEVER deal with this or any CHI ever again!

Someone I'm close with came here for medical attention. They were not helped, and couldn't walk after their tendons snapped. This sorry excuse for a hospital turned them away and said they were faking it. They finally got the surgery they needed from a medical professional who had a few things this hospital doesn't: compassion and competence. Much of the staff here should be fired, and should not work in healthcare. I appreciate the efforts of our doctors and nurses, just not the ones here.

Surgery team excellent! Nursing care was very good. What happened to nursing assessments. My blood pressure was checked for post op vitals but check my pulses, lungs, incision. I had my heart and lungs checked once when I arrived, not again until I said something and was ready for discharge.

This hospital is by far the best hospital here in Omaha. I appreciate the care they gave to my husband. We've been going to different hospitals to find what he had and all they would say is that it was a headache, & when he had another attack my brother in law called the ambulance and they took him to the emergency on Lakeside to find out it was a seizure. You guys did an amazing job I thank the whole team who took care of him from the nurse practitioner, the nurse, the cardiologist, the neurologist, the primary care doctor, the cna & the nutritionist were all very good people that seemed to actually care. Thank you so much for your excellent service! We immensely appreciate it!

I found that the nursing and staff were all around very nice and accommodating. I did however have some unpleasant experiences while in the Emergency Department. The nurse who saw me was very rude when I asked if they were doing an IV, as I had already had a 3 veins blown earlier that day in the Radiology Department. She asked if I “wanted to be treated?” Which I do understand, but she was very rude about this and harped on this point. She ran around the room huffing and puffing after the IV was in as if I was an inconvenience to her. This made me very uncomfortable. I do not agree with waking patients up at 3:15am to take their weight, as this is extremely inconvenient for the patient. To have done this at a different time of day would have made much more sense and made it much less frustrating. This was a terrible experience for me.

My mom went in on a Tuesday and discharged on a Saturday from an ICU bed. Admitted to Methodist on the following Wednesday and has been there for 13 days. I know that she was discharged too soon. Especially from an ICU bed with the complications she was experiencing.

If you are a patient in the ER, keep pushing your call light so they remember you are there. No, I absolutely don’t care that wait times could have been up to 6 hours. Staff your needs. Covid is here, ambulances come to your hospital. No news there. Staff your needs because you are consistently moving at a snails pace no matter what your patient load.

Waited over an hour in waiting room. Once taken to a room where interviewed by nurse. Saw NOONE for the next 11/2 hours. Finally doctor came in and did a FIVE minute assessment. Wanted X-rays. Took 30 minutes before I got that then waited another hour before any came to discharge me. We were there over 4 hours! Poor patient care!

Really shocked with the check in experience at the ultrasound station. The first younger girl that told me to write my name down was very pleasant, but the woman that called me to come fill out paperwork - WOW! I'm a very patient and understanding person, so thinking she was just having a rough day I tried to smile and be kind....but this was just her attitude and the way she carried herself. Kept burping and sipping her soda as she put a paper in front of me and after a few minutes she decided to give me a pen and tell me what to do very short and to the point...then the signatures and initials on the pad...she thought she could just say to do it without telling me what I was initialing and signing. She mumbled some HIPPA stuff at me (all the while slouching and slumped in her chair)...and to top it off, basically shouting across the room what I was there for and asking your coworkers where you should send me was embarrassing and disrespectful. This was June 27th around 230-245pm, woman had shorter dirty blonde hair probably in her 40s or 50s. (0 stars for this situation) However, I will say that the staff in the other area that I was sent to were extremely kind and polite. I was grateful for this after the horrible check in experience, Sadly I just can't give you ladies more than 2 stars because of how horrifying my check in experience was. Sadly this hospital seems to have gone downhill from when I used to volunteer here maybe 18 some years ago....or maybe this is just the world we live in now where customer service and respect (for yourself and others) is just gone. I'll chose a different hospital for my medical needs going forward.

Checking in went fine and we were in a room quick, initial check went well, very nice male nurse who did inform me we could do a swab test to see if my daughters temp was due to covid, RSV, or influenza and i agreed to do the swab. The female nurse who came in to swab my daughter informed me it was for those three tests as well, she preformed the nasal swab on my 19month old daughter left and came back after 5 minutes talking about needing to run a second nasal swab for the covid, I stopped her and questioned why she and the previous nurse informed me it was one swab for it now to be two. She advised me it is two swabs and I told her no to the second swab I told her to run both the RSV and the influenza then and not to worry about the covid, as we were not holding down my 19month old daughter again to run a second swab because she was not prepared. She told me she needed to go check with the doctor and didn't come back for almost an hour. When she returned she had our discharge papers and no test results for the RSV or influenza which I asked them to run and sent us on our way.

Took my friend to the ER for a severe asthma flare up, she could barely breathe. We waited over 2 and a half hours before even getting to a room, barely checked on us and didnt really tell us anything about any of the tests they ran. When her alarms would go off all they did was shut them off and that was only if they happened to be in the room. Overall stay was 8 and a half hours. For 2 breathing treatments, and steroids.

I was traveling and staying in a nearby hotel and had a massive heart attack. I went into cardic arrest and was brought here by ambulance and they saved my life. The cardiology doctor inserted a stent in my left main artery that was 100 percent blocked and the procedure was successful. The nurses were all extremely friendly and helpful and im so grateful for the entire staff at CHI Lakeside. They made the most difficult time of my life so much better and I will never forget how well I was treated. 90 days later I'm living life to the fullest and feel amazing and that not be possible if I didn't receive the immediate, amazing care that was provided.

I need to know where the billing department is located. I have a lot bills I need an itemized list of all my bills and when they are due each month. I can't keep track of all of them. Does MyChart have all of my bills posted anywhere on it? That would make it easy for patients. Do I have to contact each hospital that I went to?

The Breast Care Center at Lakeside is outstanding. I have been receiving care there for over 10 years, and it is always excellent, high quality care. Everyone from front desk staff, to RNs, to physicians and support staff are friendly and caring, working as a team to provide treatment for each patient. I have been a patient of Dr. Redland during treatment at the Breast Care Center - she is an outstanding surgeon, and always takes her time during my appointments, answering all my questions and addressing any concerns I might have. My follow-up care following a diagnosis of breast cancer has been very thorough and caring. I highly recommend the Lakeside Breast Care Center.

Unfortunately the worst emergency room visit if my life. They tried to do a Cat scan BEFORE I had been seen by a a doctor or a nurse and couldn't explain why. I as told my blood work showed I had a heart attack- which was no where near the truth. It took 13 plus hours for a bronchitus induced asthma attack - and over 4 hours of wait time before they put me on a simple nebulizer to get the standard process going. After the morning shift cane in...i found out they didn't record my vitals.

Doctors and nurses have all been fabulous as is the care they provide. Just don’t try to schedule a colonoscopy because you will be on hold for 30 minutes three separate times because they schedule the wrong procedure twice and then cancel it because the scheduler made a mistake. Also, their billing department can’t credit the correct family member’s account even though the account number and patient’s name are listed on the check.

I am an Omaha Native. I work within walking distance to this facility. I have had 6 , personal and/or family experiences at this hospital since they opened. IF YOU ARE IN A TRAUMA SITUATION REROUTE IMMEDIATELY. If your ambulance gives you an option, do not go to Lakeside. This facility is fine for Maternity. This facility is fine for simple procedures. They are not capable of handling heart, stroke, paralysis , pain management, or spinal issues. Security is weak. Patient nutrition is severely lacking, due to food service. The food they serve these patients, when nutrition should be a critical part of wellness, is absolutely disgusting. Fortunately, you are nearby hundreds of DoorDash options and you are in walking and very short driving distance to restaurants and grocery stores, in order to adequately feed the patient. General patient care from teams on the floor is lacking. Be prepared to go find your own nurse or tech who is caring for you, check the break room because they are not on the floors overnight. The nurse-call buttons go unanswered far too long. Understaffed? If you have an elderly person admitted, do not leave them there alone. Spend 24/7 at the hospital. The overnight presence is little to none. The attitudes of the team is snarky, uncaring, or rude. Take your choice. The campus is beautiful on the outside. They need to fix what is happening on the inside.

Giving birth here was the best decision we made. Thanks to the maternity nurses and my c-section surgeons!! I had to go in three separate times with Braxton hicks, they were so compassionate and understanding as a fist time mom. Then I ended up having to have an emergency c-section, and was struggling, things started get intense very quickly, our nurse, stayed as cool, calm, and compassionate as she could! Not to mention, all of our nurses were so conversational, and light hearted, exactly what I needed. As a first time mom, I had so many worries and anxieties after, one of the nurses stayed and talked with me, almost a full therapy session, for almost 20 minutes, when I know she had plenty to do, to make sure mentally I was getting through it. BEYOND AMAZING. and all the nurses who helped throughout all the induction process and post op care, our family owes you everything! Best experience I could have had. I wish I could mention the names of the nurses, not sure if I can on here, but those women need all the praise they can get!! I will always make sure our son knows what amazing care he got those few days❤️ I also want to add that for our post birth care, the bed was huge and very comfortable, and our room care was amazing.

Nurse came in once a shift and emptied the one that was usually about half full, no rinse out. Of course had no way to wash hand...
