Do
not
go
here
for
mental
health
care!!
I
went
to
the
ER
for
a
mental
health
emergency.
They
asked
a
few
questions
and
checked
my
heart
rate
and
blood
pressure
before
sending
me
back
to
the
psychiatric
area
of
the
ER
and
told
me
a
psychiatrist
would
come
and
meet
with
me.
After
waiting
for
about
an
hour,
we
asked
when
the
psychiatrist
was
coming
and
were
told
that
he
doesn’t
do
his
rounds
until
9
am.
I
was
then
told
that
I
would
have
to
stay
overnight
until
I
could
see
him,
otherwise
I
would
be
put
on
a
medical
hold
and
lose
the
rights
to
make
my
own
medical
decisions.
So
they
put
me
in
a
room
and
left
me
alone
for
24
hours.
No
one
ever
inspected
or
treated
the
physical
injuries
I
came
in
with,
and
the
doctor
did
not
show
up
at
9am
as
promised.
I
spend
the
day
begging
to
talk
to
a
doctor,
psychiatrist,
therapist,
or
any
medical
professional
to
no
avail.
Finally
they
took
me
out
of
the
ER
and
to
the
inpatient
psychiatric
wing.
There,
I
still
had
to
wait
another
24
hours
before
I
could
talk
to
a
doctor.
When
I
finally
met
with
him,
he
spent
very
little
time
with
me
and
didn’t
listen
to
any
of
my
concerns.
They
then
held
me
over
the
weekend
because
the
doctors
don’t
work
weekends,
so
I
was
told
I
had
to
wait
it
out
until
Monday,
despite
me
reiterating
that
I
was
having
severe
anxiety
about
being
there.
I
know
this
protocol
is
meant
to
keep
people
safe,
but
the
lack
of
communication
and
lack
of
care
is
absolutely
unacceptable.
The
only
redeeming
quality
about
this
place
is
the
nurses.
They
were
wonderful
and
the
only
ones
who
genuinely
care
about
their
patients
and
their
recovery.
