Noakhali

Bajra.

mosque
is
surrounded
by
a
wall,

to
the
mosque
is
on
the
eastern
side.

a
high
foundation
on
the
western
side
of
the
Dighi.

Shahi
Mosque
has
three
doors
on
the
east
side,

with
a
semi-domed
vault
and
a
slender
minaret
in

Shahi
Mosque
was
built
in
the
18th
century
(Noakhali
district).

one

the

historical

Bangladesh
Archeology
Department

working
to
protect

Mosque

preserve
the
rare
artifacts.
The
mosque
was
built
by
Aman
Ullah
in
1741-42
AD
during
the
reign
of
Mughal
Emperor
Muhammad
Shah.
Between
1911
and
mid-1928
Bajra
zamindar
Khan
Bahadur
Ali
Ahmad
and
Khan
Bahadur
Mujir
Uddin
Ahmad
extensively
repaired
the
mosque
and
decorated
it
with
ceramic
mosaics.
The
mosque
is
currently
well
preserved,
and
is
on
the
list
of
protected
sites
of
the
Department
of
Archaeology.
