I have to tell you it took a long time to get an appointment even with a referral but once the appointment was made the doctors and nurses there are fantastic. They know exactly what to prescribe and what to do and they pay attention to detail. I recommend this place highly if you have pulmonary problems this is where you need to go. I now find the need to edit this review. I had an appointment the other day and beside minutes late and they said they need to reschedule me because of that. This is not mention the fact that my last appointment they were 30 minutes late. So now I do not recommend this place unless you were punctual. I don't know who these people think they are but there are other doctors in the same profession. I post this only as a warning do not be late or they will cancel you.

I have been waiting since September of 2021 to get an appointment at this office. After trying to contact them via voice call, voicemail, and online I have yet to receive any information. I have tried multiple times since with no response. In January of 2022 I was hospitalized due to pulmonary embolism because of the lack of urgency in the staff of Pulmonary Associates. If I would have been seen in time none of this would have happened. Pulmonary Associates should not be your first option, unless you want to wait 5+ months to get an appointment, if that.

This place is AWFUL! My mother, who has ILD, was 5 minutes late to her appointment today and the receptionist said they have a policy where if you’re late at all, they have to reschedule. FIVE MINUTES. She’d been waiting 3 months to see this doctor. AND THEN, it would be another 3 months to reschedule! My mom is almost 70 years old, has scleroderma ILD and can’t breathe and they refused to see her for being five minutes late. He had all of her test results and information to go over and they refused her. There was NO policy listed when she registered online. How AWFUL! I’m sure the doctor is great, but the policies are SHAMEFUL!

Used to absolutely love this place up until I was told they have a policy that says they will no longer take late arrivals. I get it if you're 10 minutes late, but I was 3 minutes late. 3 minutes! Then they tell me that they had to turn away 16 other patients before me. I was told on the phone that they needed to make sure I was coming becaause my lungs are bad and I have severe sleep apnea. It was 3 minutes! I live an hour and a half away and the highway into town was down to one lane due to cconstruction I left my house in plenty of time. Calling my insurance company to letting them know. Mean time, I'll be looking for another Dr!

I can’t say enough about the PA Mrs. McDowell (AKA) KiKi. Without her knowledge, expertise willingness to listen. Thinking outside of the box & knowing each person is different responding to treatment differently. I believe i owe Mrs. McDowell a debt of gratitude she has in my belief saved my life. She is the Kindest, Sweetest & Most Hardworking Healthcare Professional with an endless amount of Knowledge & Best Bedside Manner I’ve Encountered. I Recommend her to Anyone Looking for a Lung or Pulmonologist. Treatments include but not limited to: Asthma Bronchitis Emphysema or any other complications associated with the lungs. Again pulmonary associates app wellness way by UMC Hospital. Is certainly well worth looking into.!!!

Horrible practice. Mother was two minutes late to her appointment due to really bad traffic hey turned her away stating no Grace periods. Lady at the desk was rude and unprofessional. I don't get why we can be two minutes late if they're not gonna call us back until 30 minutes after our appointment time anyway. This practice is all about the money, and not the patient. Take the time to find a pulmonologist that really cares.

I had a 9:30 appointment for 8-10-2022. I arrived on time, was told blood work was not done. Blood was done it was under my given name Christopher, not Chris. They have my photo ID. You would have thought a intelligent person could have figured that out. Anyhow I have to reschedule until they figure it out.

I wish I could give them 0 stars. The front office is completely incompetent. I've reported them in-house and to my insurance numerous times. They are unprofessional and seldom answer or return calls. 1. They never have your test and bloodwork orders ready. You have to jump through hoops to get it. 2. They have no late grace period. If you are a minute late due to their slowness at the front desk, you will be rescheduled, but they can keep you hrs in the waiting room. 3. They act like they don't know how to do FMLA paperwork. I got let go of because I tried with them multiple times to get it right. My boss even called and tried to walk them through what I needed and they STILL did it wrong. My job was tired of dealing with them. 4. I had Dr Kiki. I'd been sick a long time with sinus and respiratory issues, AFTER she tested me and said my lung capacity was 50%. She did no further testing. Because I was coughing she would not see me in office, kept saying I had chronic bronchitis and wait 3 months to be seen. I kept saying no, I need to come, I felt bad. I ended up in the ER with blood clots in my lungs. 5. After switching Dr's and ending up on oxygen due to the unfounded blood clots I was sent in circles about how to get me better by repeating the same tests over and over. I have since left this office.

I called on a Monday for a new pt appt, I was able to get an appt the very next day with Dr Stewart. Check-in was fast at wellness office. Every Staff member I had an encounter with (front desk, MA, and provider) was great. Dr. Stewart took his time with me, getting to know about my past health and current concerns. I never felt like he was rushing our visit, he really took his time with me, which I was really grateful for. Dr ordered some tests put me on some meds and I will f/u with him once test results are back. I feel real lucky to be in the caring hands of this Dr and staff. I would definitely recommend them to my friends and family.

Horrible experience by my mom who's in her 70s. She left several messages regarding switching medications due to side effects and never heard back from anyone. Learned that they don't even have an on-call Dr. over the weekend. She finally decided to switch to another practice.

Very Difficult to get results from testing, Wait time on phone 30 to 45 min. Run around as why your results not available. Respond with they will have a person call you back and you do not receive call back. If they do not have the Staff to function as a reliable Medical facility. Then don't make the appointment with the patient. Called 4 times, So far 13 days waiting for results.

PA Steven was very helpful and thorough during my consultation. I know the scheduling of appointment was a little frustrating, but when I went to my appointment everybody did their job well and I was called right away.

I had seen Steven Harker after a hospitalization for pneumonia and severe breathing problems that came on suddenly last year. He did a lung function test and said I was mildly asthmatic. He prescribed me inhalers. I started having severe breathing problems again and had to be on oxygen at home and if I wanted to leave the house. My last visit with him was a complete waste of time. After being on steroids and antibiotics for a week he said he believed I was having pneumonia again and needed to go right to the hospital. The hospital confirmed i did not have pneumonia but severe asthma. When I asked him what was going on with my lungs he agreed something was very wrong but he didn’t know what or why and wasnt sure what was happening to me. I finally got a referral to a different pulmonologist who was able to find the issue and treat me and I can breathe again! No inhaler, no oxygen, I have my life back! Some drs should be able to admit some conditions are out of their scope of practice.

This is one inefficient, unorganized and all negative experiences one can have, i.e. untimelyLab report, needed to redo, to call them 30 mins waiting, staff NOT friendly for the Tech who performed my brething test, etc . . . . . I have NOT seen a Doctor since I've been going there for Months. -10* is my rating,if there's any. I complained to NSB of ME about a doctor supposedly assigned to me, found out he's License by the Board, surprised ?! My name is Manuel Nilo Lina, name above is my spouse. I'm moving to another Physician after this last visit, too late schedule one from another place, 'coz I kept reminding them that I'm schedule to undergo Heart procedures on 9th August, ignored ?!

😠 Ashley Smith is an incompetent and pathetic excuse for a doctor. 😠 If you can, try to go somewhere else, this place is a joke. Do not respect people's time. I get it sometimes the are delays being seen, but 3 hours is unacceptable. This is the second time that it has happened. When you ask the check in people they react like they don't care one bit.
